Voidwalker

 I awoke to a sharp kick against my stomach. I vomited on the ground, nothing being there but water. I looked up at my attacker and there was a smirk on her face.

“Now you are awake. It’s past nightfall!”  she snarled out.

   I pushed myself into a sitting position, about to get another kick, but it was stopped by an invisible force field. I looked up and she backed away from me. Fear was in her eyes. I blinked for a few seconds to realize I created the force field.

“Naomi stop harassing the new girl.” A voice rang.

  Naomi turns and glares at the person. “Step out of the shadows Nick.”

  A male with brown hair and blue-green eyes walks from the shadows. He held a dark smirk across his face.

“She is just another magic user Naomi.”  he said to mess with Naomi.

“A user with strong powers!” She snarled at him.

  Nick shook his head and Naomi glared at Nick as if he were doing something she didn't like. I got from the whole thing between the two that Nick was a second in command and Naomi was jealous of him. Nick’s attitude was laid back but he did hold a leadership attitude. Naomi held no leadership attitude towards her.

  I stand up now and I wrap an arm around my stomach. A bruise was forming against my stomach where Naomi had kicked. I watched as the two argued between each other and I felt like throwing up again.

  Nick must of noticed because he walked over and held out a hand. “Would you like some help?”

“Yes please…”  I nod slowly.

 He wrapped an arm around my side and he helped me to the apothecary and they took me in under Nick's orders. I look at the apothecary and they didn't look to pleased with me.

“Outsiders are never welcomed.” she hissed. “Why is she allowed this time, Nick?”

“Her powers are as strong as ours but she isn't born as one of us.”  Nick said. “Just help her out and she will be gone. Naomi gave her a boot against her stomach.”

  I watch as the apothecary worked her job.  I gasped when she roughly tighten a cloth around my stomach.

“She got you to bleed.”

 I groaned inwardly and I felt the herbs sting just a bit but not as bad as the kicking. I coughed at the scent of the herbs than I vomited the acids back up and onto the ground. I groaned and felt my stomach growl in pain.

“You need to eat.” Nick ordered.

  I rolled away from him and flipped him with my pink up. This only caused him to laugh.

“I will have Naomi bring you clothes quickly.” Nick stated.

  All I did was nod when he and the apothecary walked out. The apothecary returned shortly after with a plate of food. The contents on the tray were filled with boar meat, breads, and a strange green tree shape vegetable.

“Here eat this ‘til  Naomi returns with your new attire.”  She stated.

  I chew on the bread slowly and I watch the food on the plate disappear slowly.
