A Flower for M'lady part 1 by Summer Cheng@SummerCheng37
Description
Ladybug was honored to become close friends with Chat Noir. She sighed, realizing she had started seeing him in a new light lately. This scared her; what if...
Ladybug's POV:
I arrived to patrol on time. I saw him glancing my way and sighed. What if I was too late?
I hadn't told him how I felt. I knew that I had fallen for him.
I was not sure when. I did know he was the one for me. I was sure of it.
"Hi, M'lady," Chat Noir said with his usual cheerful charm.
"Hi, Chaton," I said. "What? Where is the girl who usually tells me not to call you m'lady, or Bugaboo? what have you done with her?" He asked. I could see his eyes gleaming in the moonlight. "I am right here," I said lowering my voice.
Chat Noir smiled at me. "A penny for your thoughts, m'lady," He stated as he handed me a coin. I started to shiver and he let me lay my head on his shoulders. I did not know it, but he was grateful for my company. I heard him sigh.
"Chat is everything alright?" I asked. "Yes, and no," He said with a frown. "What do you mean?" I inquired. "I mean, my dad wants me to date, but I can't go out with just anyone. I am not in high school anymore, but I want to choose the girl myself. If I can't have her, I would rather be alone," He replied. I had no idea who he was referring to, but I felt sorry for him.
"I had no idea your life was so bad, I am sorry, Chaton," I said. I laid a hand on his. He didn't pull away. "I am fine because you are here," He spoke softly. I saw him pull something from behind his back.
"A flower for M'lady," He said. He offered me the rose, and I took it. I noticed it was orange. I frowned, I knew this stood for friendship, but I wanted more with him.
"Thanks, Chat," I said. "You are welcome, and I bid you goodnight, m'lady," He stated. He kissed my gloved hand and left. I watched him go feeling like Lois Lane feels when Superman leaves.
I wished I knew the boy behind the mask. Maybe then, I could finally tell him who the real me is and he could accept me. I went home holding onto the rose. I made sure it made it to a nice vase full of water. I transformed back.
"Tikki, I am in love with Chat Noir. I am glad Adrien is a friend, but I love Chat now," I told her.
"I am happy for you, Marinette," she said. She did not show me the banner she had made. She had it hidden for now.
