   Chat Noir finds a note that puzzles him. What could it all mean?

  My partner ladybug and I defeat the latest villain.   After she went home, I went to check on my princess.   

   "Hi, princess! It is me, Chat!"

     Strange, what is keeping her?

     I looked and saw a scrap of paper on the ground.

      I took a closer look.

      It looked like it had a tare across the bottom edges of it.

    There are makeup smudges, teardrops, and the scent of perfume found along the sides.

     Hmm, what is with the note?     Does it contain a clue about my princess's sudden absence?

      I  sat down on the balcony to read the note.

     Dear Chat,

      I  do not know how to tell you this.

      I have some bad news. It has to do with Ladybug.  

      Ladybug has an emergency. It is a health issue that involves surgery.

      Due to this, she will not be able to assist you with Akuma attacks for at least six months.

       Sorry to have to tell you this on such short notice.  

        Could you do me the favor of giving the earrings to Alya?      

        I never told you this before, but it is time I did. I love you as both Chat and  Adrien Agreste.

        If you are reading this, I am in the hospital.   It is because the spots are not enough to protect me from myself.

          Oh, Chat, I am so sorry.

      I finished the note in shock.

    "Marinette is m'lady?"

     I whooped.

    I frowned.

   "Marinette's having surgery."

    I sniffed as I made my way off the rooftop.

    "I am on my way, princess."

     I ran to the hospital, and the nurse directed me to her room.

    I went inside. I breathed a sigh of relief.

    My princess was asleep. She had already had the surgery.

     "Marinette, princess, I want you to know that I love you too, both as Marinette and  Ladybug.  I will miss fighting the villains with you by my side. I promise to watch out for Scarbella for you.  You take care and focus on getting better. I will be waiting for you. "

       I leaned over and kissed her forehead. "Princess, I promise to look after you,"  I whispered.

       I  kept the promise.

      I made sure Scarbella did not get too many injuries. I kept myself alive and I looked after my princess.

    Six months later, I  see her. Yes, my princess is fully recovered!

    "Princess!"

    "Chat!"

    I hugged her. She hugged me back.

    "I believe these belong to you."

    I hear a voice interrupt us as Alya holds out her hand.

    Marinette turns around takes the earrings and places them back in their proper spot in her ears.

    "Thanks, Alya for taking good care of Tikki and Chat for me."

"Girl, I was glad too, but I am so glad you are better. Believe me, Chat needs his ladybug."

         Alya winks at us and leaves.

       I  smirk at Marinette.

      Marinette smirks back at me.

    "Do not ever scare me like that again, princess."

    "I honestly, do not know what you mean, Chat."

    "Oh, yeah?  Then, what about the peculiar note you left me?  The one that had me worried beyond all my nine lives."

      I hear her laughter.  Oh, I missed it.

    Oh, how I missed her.

   Yes, I am one blessed cat.
