Katelyn X Nicole

"Can we please do something already?"

Nicole lay sprawled across Katelyn's mattress, scrolling through her phone with a bored expression. Katelyn sat at the foot of the bed, practically drooling on her phone. Nicole sighed and shifted to face Katelyn. She glanced at the phone over her shoulder and grumbled in disappointment when she saw the words "Larry Stylinston" typed across the page.

"Katelyn c'mon, get off your lazy ass." She said, punching the blue-haired fangirl next to her. Katelyn glared at the redhead and turned back to her fanfic. Nicole's eyes narrowed and wondered what could possibly be more important and interesting than her. Curious, Nicole snuck behind the poor girl and snatched her phone from her grip. Katelyn yelled in surprise as Nicole started reading the story aloud.

"H-hey! Give my phone back now Nicole!" Katelyn felt her cheeks heat up. Nicole only smirked, sticking her tongue out at Katelyn before opening her mouth to speak.

" 'We shouldn't be doing this.' I breathed heavily as Harry and I parted. Harry quickly shushed me with another breath-taking kiss, making me fall under his fingertips again. He began to tilt his head-"

"S-stop it!" Katelyn shouted, pouncing into the bed and practically wrestling Nicole for her beloved phone. Nicole snorted as she continued reading. Her eyes scanned the page as she held Katelyn back with her right hand. Suddenly Nicole froze, her face growing to a shade of red close to her hair. It finally hit Katelyn on what part she was reading. Nicole suddenly shoved the latter's phone back into her hands.

"You can have that back." Nicole spoke slowly, turning her cherry-red face away from Katelyn in defiance. "I actually can't believe you read that." She mumbled.

"Huh?"

"Nothing."

After a few moments of silence, Nicole suddenly jumped off the bed with a wide grin. "Let's bake a cake!"

"Why would we do that?" Katelyn questioned.

"Because you need to get off you're phone! I'm bored and you're just reading that...thing...and it's a terrible way to treat a guest!" Nicole explained. Katelyn puffed her cheeks. "But I like reading it."

-----

"So how do you bake again?"

"Wow. Glad you know what you were getting yourself into. Just go read something online or ask Kawaii~Chan or-"

"Hey look! A cookbook! You idiot Katelyn, why didn't you tell me that?"

"....or a cookbook." Katelyn sighed as her red-headed friend scolded her for being "ignorant." Oh, the irony. Katelyn could practically see "stupid" floating above her head.

Her friend flipped through the pages of sweets and immediately settled on one simple enough (knowing how clumsy Katelyn was, the redhead knew best). She pulled out a large bowl, milk, eggs, sugar, flour, measuring cups, oil, and sent the aqua-haired woman off to find butter, vanilla, baking powder and salt.

"Now where the heck is it?" Katelyn wondered aloud as she searched her pantry. And how did I agree to this?

As she was playing iSpy with her pantry's food, Katelyn didn't notice a certain redhead sneaking behind her (how could she, she's as blind as Aphmau).

"BOO!"

"PFAFTAAAH?!" Katelyn yelled, spinning on her heel and nearly slapping Nicole. The former laughed, gripping her sides as Katelyn fumed. "Oh my god your face!"

Katelyn crossed her arms and turned away from her friend in annoyance. As she did, she knocked over a box of non-brand cereal, spilling its contents all over the floor. Katelyn and Nicole gave each other a look, as if to say "how cliché ".

"Well..." Nicole trailed off, staring at the cereal, "let's just get rid of this so Aph doesn't yell at us."

By clean up she meant throw it in a bag and hide it in the fridge to take care of later.

-----

Nicole yelped as a sudden cold substance touched her arm. She spun around towards Katelyn, who held a spoonful of batter and a smirk across her face. Nicole frowned, ignoring the blue-haired woman's attempt to annoy her. She wouldn't give in.

Suddenly she felt more batter on her nose. "GYAH! Katelyn stop it!" She yelled, immediately forgetting the words she'd told herself.

Katelyn giggled. She poked Nicole wth the spoon, making the redhead seat her away. Before she could react, Nicole grabbed a spoon full of batter off the counter and prodded Katelyn's face with it.

"Hey, not the eyes!" Katelyn laughed. Immediately, the two began to fight each other with the utensils full of cake batter. They relentlessly fought, swinging the mixture all across the house without a care.

Adding to their list of even more mess to clean later. Well, knowing Nicole, they'd probably just tape sheets of paper over it and make up a story about a party.

-----

"Oh finally it's done." Nicole let out an exasperated sigh as she leaned back into her chair. Specks of dried batter still remained on her nose and cheeks. Katelyn smiled at the thought as she tried to hide her expression from the redhead.

"What are you so happy about?" Nicole asked.

Katelyn jumped a bit, biting her lip. "N-nothing!" She turned away, feeling her cheeks dust with a blush. Nicole simply arched an eyebrow, shrugging the gesture off. "Well fine if you're so stingy about it."

Katelyn stepped back to admire their work. The cake had already been fully frosted (and of course, already gone into the oven) and didn't even have a slightest hint of mistake—Katelyn wouldn't allow it. It smelled heavenly, and looked it too. Nicole licked her lips at the sight.

"It's perfect...like my girlfriend." She whispered. Katelyn raised an eyebrow. "You mean best friend with benefits?"

"No. Girlfriend." Nicole grinned slyly. Katelyn rolled her eyes, lifting the tears up to move it to the table. "You think there will be any left for Kawaii~Chan and Aph?"

"Mmmm...Kawaii~Chan would probably yell at me if I didn't save her any." Katelyn replied. Nicole nodded in agreement.

Suddenly, Katelyn felt someone wrap their arms around her waist. She titled her head behind her to see a head of red hair nuzzled into her back. Nicole smiled at her (with the specks of dried batter still among her face) and planted a light kiss on her cheek. Katelyn responded by moving her own lips to the latter's, meeting in the middle. The kiss had only started to feel good when—

SPLAT.

The cake had only managed to slip from Katelyn's hands and smash into the floor. Of course it had. Nicole peeked her head over Katelyn's shoulder, disappointment immediately casting over her face. "Aww, we spent so long on that too."

"Dang....so how are we gonna hide this?"
