Day 2: Part 3

Sasha sat in the back of Tommy's car with Lorraine. Tommy drove silently. Sasha felt awkward yet relieved that Tommy was not trying to start a conversation with her.

Almost halfway to her house, she glanced at the front mirror. Tommy looked at the mirror too and found Sasha glancing at him. Sasha quickly looked out of the window to avoid eye contact with him. Over the next few minutes, similar glances happened between the two.

The eye contact had only made Sasha feel awkward until they made the feeling change from awkward to terrifying... horrifically terrifying. Sasha's lips started to tremble, so did her hands and legs and slowly the rest of her body. She wanted to scream, she wanted to scream and run away. But all she could do is stare at those red eyes with black retinas larger than she had ever seen.

The skin of Tommy's face started to peel off and fall on it's own. As the skin started to fall off, Sasha knew it wasn't Tommy, this was something else, someone else staring at her with intense red eyes, skin peeling off revealing flesh and violet coloured blood dripping down.

Sasha couldn't scream. Her lungs didn't have enough air in them to manage a scream. She could get out a reedy moaning sound. Anything louder than that seemed to be beyond her. But it was enough to make her younger sister to look at her.

Lorraine gripped her sister's hand tightly. She had never seen her sister like this. Her sister has never been scared of anything.

" What happened?" Lorraine asked worriedly and then turned to look in the direction where Sasha was looking.

She saw Tommy looking at the road as he drove. They were almost near their house. She turned back to her sister who looked like she had almost passed out. Lorraine looked at Tommy who seemed to be unaware of what was happening at the back.

"Hey, stop!"  Lorraine screamed with fear.

" What's the matter, kid?" Tommy enquired in a low voice.

" My sister... she is losing her consciousness! Oh my, she seems as if she would fall anytime."

" Relax kid, we have almost reached your place. We would see what we can do once we reach there."answered Tommy and let out a chuckle.

Lorraine heard the weird chuckle and felt goosebumps on her. She stared at Tommy for awhile but he seemed to be busy driving.

Lorraine pressed her sister's hand softly who was now laying on her lap, mumbling something which was impossible to make out with her eyes closed. She felt terrified looking at her sister, wondering what was it that made her sister so frightened of It.
