Aria

"No, I insist. And please, call me Acaia." I gave the pretty woman a smile, following after her as she began talking again.

"So, how old are you?" Acaia questioned. I now noticed that she had an underlying Russian accent.

"Thirteen. Fourteen in exactly a month." November 25th. "Ah, a month before mine."

"You were born on Christmas?" Obviously, Aria. Shut up. "Yep, a 'christmas miracle'."

"I can not wait to leave my teenage years behind." She added on. My head snapped in her direction, "Your only nineteen?"

"Why? You think I look older?" She joked, playfully nudging me. A small smile ghosted over my face.

"Your nothing like Buck said you would be." I looked over my shoulder, smiling at the familiar blonde boy who was always ten steps behind. He gave me two dramatic thumbs up, which was followed by a wink.

"And what did Buck say I was like?"

"Scary. Violent. Don't show much emotion. Y'know, the typical big bad wolf type of girl." I responded, earning a small chuckle.

"You could say I am like that towards the majority, but if you aren't like that, they won't respect you as much. I make my people live in fear of me because it is the only way they will stay in check, but deep down i'm not like that."

"But what made them fear you in the first place?"

"For months, we had been tracking down this sex trafficking organisation. The Edron's. Four days after my mothers death, when I was just thirteen, we finally got the location of their biggest warehouse. There was a massive plan that involved atleast a hunted men and women to take them down, but I snuck behind my crews back. It wasn't hard to get into the grounds, and I can't even remember killing them all. I saved 2,849 kids that night. Reunited 2,541 of them with their parents, and the other 308 were adopted. After that, not a single person every spoke down to me or doubted me. In fact, they quaked in fear at the sight of me. Hell, I was already practically the one sat in the throne in their eyes."

Acaia didn't give me a chance to respond as she paused for a moment, before continuing her words. "But there was one girl I wasn't able to save. Leon De Tavia. She would have been 9 years old at the time, 15 years old now. Just an hour before I arrived, she had been brought. Every time I told someone there was a person I didn't manage to save, they told me to think about the ones I did. But I couldn't. I never stopped searching for her. I've lost count of the amount of times I read her file, though I found a lead but then came to find out it was a dead end."

I looked up to Acaia, who now showed a hint of sadness. I remained quiet, unsure of what to say. "Uh, well, would you like to go visit your new home?" She changed the subject, taking me off guard.

"Hm, depends. Do you have ice cream?"

Acaia smirked, "Of course I do, is that even a question?"

Suddenly, I felt much more comfortable. I mirrored her smirk as her lips now curled up into a smile. She has a pretty smile.

Buck waited for me and Acaia to pass him before he followed after us. I looked over my shoulder, giving Buck a teasing smirk as I hoped into the front of the car.

He flipped me off, getting into the back of the car, frowning like a child. Acaia looked into the rear view mirror, grinning slightly at Buck's annoyed expression.

          "Are you okay, Buck?"

"Yes, ma'am." He huffed. It was awfully hard to believe he was older than both me and Acaia with the way he was sulking.

"Your such a kid, Ry." I joked, a small laugh escaping my throat.

Unknowingly to me, Acaia glanced over to me, smiling brightly as she watched me and Buck argue back and forth.

"Aria, Buck, this is Ronan, Belle and my brother, Nikolai. Though I don't know why Ronan's here. Who invited you?"

My eyes landed on the man I guessed to be Ronan, who was laying across the couch, eating icecream. My guesses, he's the boyfriend.

The man now turned to face us, causing my eyes to widen slightly. Ronan Alonso, the heir to the Spanish mafia. My eyes flickered between him and Acaia, and I prayed she wasn't dating him. I wondered if she knew what happened between his father and her mother.

Furthermore, did she know everything else?

I was snapped out of my thoughts when Ronan spoke. "I invited myself."

Acaia scoffed. "And who the hell let him in?"

"Gloria. She thinks I am your boyfriend. Says we're going to have beautiful babies." Ronan smirked, but behind that mischievous look I could see the way he stared at Acadia like she was the only person in the room.

Acaia's jaw ticked as she rolled her eyes, but I didn't fail to miss the small blush on her cheeks.

           I smiled.

          Love. Cute.
