Therapuffy Session
Tommy
"How are you feeling today," Puffy asked as Tommy sat down, shifting around in the chair.
"Okay, I think," He couldn't believe he was here now, of all the people in the Dream SMP to be going to therapy Tommy never expected it to be him. Deep down he knew he needed this, but sharing his thoughts and feelings wasn't something he liked to do.
"Does this mean you're doing how you've been normally, or better than normal," Puffy said. "Remember that everything said in here will never be spoken about out of this room. If you wish I will be the only person to know all this."
"Well today I went back to the vault with Ranboo, we tried to get Henry out yesterday, it didn't end well." Tommy said, "We tried to get Friend out, it was the least I could do for Wilbur."
"Do you feel like you owe him something," Puffy said, she knew Tommy had changed and there was a chance he was just doing it out of kindness.
"No, well kinda, I don't know. I wasn't there for him when he died so perhaps I could try to fix some things when he was dead," Tommy said.
"Did something happen in L'Manburg before I came to the SMP? Anything you think was impactful on you," Puffy said, partially changing the topic. She knew a little bit about Schlatt but the L'Manburg revolution wasn't talked about much.
"We were going to win, we had successfully fought off Dream and the others, but then Eret took us somewhere, and they slaughtered us," Tommy said, recalling the lowest point of the revolution. But not for him, that came later. "Dream took one of my lives, and the others lost a life as well. Then Wilbur went to negotiate with Dream, he placed tnt and L'Manburg blew up. It wasn't as bad as it is now, but it was still a shock to all of us.
"Wilbur and I went to negotiate surrender, but L'Manburg was everything to him, and I challenged Dream to a duel. I remember asking Wilbur what to do, and then the arrow. I lost two lives that day."
"I can't imagine how you felt these past months, knowing you were on one life." Puffy said, trying to sympathize with him, but carful not to make it sound like she was pitying him. "But I think you make the right choice trying to fight Dream. So if you lost the duel how did you still get independence?"
"I gave him Cat and Mellohi," Tommy said, the two things he had worked so hard to keep from Dream, gone just to see Wilbur happy. "Everyone was so happy when I told them."
"But they didn't think about what you had lost," Puffy said. "L'Manburg may have won, but you lost."
"Yeah, it felt- ugh, it felt like they didn't care about me and what I had sacrificed," Tommy said, leaning back in the chair and running a hand through his hair.
"But you did get them back," Puffy asked, "right?"
"Yeah, but at first he gave me fakes, I started to not know what was real or not. I sometimes question if the disks I have now are the originals." Tommy said, "and Dream, he has a plan to get out. I just don't understand why he hasn't done it yet."
"What did you do after you found out," Puffy said.
"I told Sam as soon as I could, but he dismissed me and insisted that the prison was the most secure place and couldn't be broken out of," Tommy said.
"Have you considered that perhaps he was in shock after finding out you were alive." Puffy said, she remembered Sam's reaction and how hard he had been on himself. "He still thinks it was his fault, for following the rules of the prison. Maybe if you would talk to him, or I could if you want me to."
"I didn't, I was just worried about Dream getting out. He wants to revive Wilbur, and on top of that Technoblade owes him a favor," Tommy explained.
"What this is sounding like is that you're so scared of Dream and proving yourself to Wilbur that you haven't been able to heal and move on," Puffy said. "I know you went through alot, but have you tried talking to Eret? He has changed."
"I know, I've talked to him a bit but I don't think we can be called friends," Tommy said.
Puffy nodded. "And what about Technoblade? I know you two had a history before Doomsday."
"I invited him to rent a room in my hotel, but it's not exactly my hotel anymore," Tommy said, "Not like I care anymore. Are we done yet?"
"Fine, but I do have something I want you to do in between sessions," Puffy handed him a book. "Write down anything that happens this week, good or bad. I won't read it, but I want you to share with me what you want to next time."
"Okay," Tommy took the book and left, leaving an extra diamond in the chest outside.
Dream
Puffy thanked Sam as he handed her the book she had requested to have brought in. She walked with the platform across the lava to the main cell. It had been Connor's idea to offer, so far, the single inhabitant of the prison rehabilitation through therapy.
"So Sam's restored my visitation rights," Dream scoffed, though he was relieved, finally it wasn't Quackity who had come.
"I didn't know that was something he had restricted," Puffy said, sitting down on the floor of the cell. "Company can be good, I'll talk to Sam about it. There are still people who would like to see you."
"You know who should visit me," Dream smirked, "Tommy. We had some fun times. In L'Manburg, in exile, even here. Best times I'd ever had."
"You killed an innocent boy, tormented him, traumatized him," Puffy said, "Do you not see your own flawed actions?"
"Innocent," Dream frowned, "He started a rebellion against me, against my nation. Then he burned down my best friend's house, for fun. He broke into my house, ruining my only safe place. Yet he's called the innocent one?"
"That still doesn't excuse what you did," Puffy said, "I don't know what happened during the exile, but I know it was wrong."
"You want to know what happened when I took him away from here," Dream said. "Tore him away from everything he knew? I took his things, everything he thought made him powerful. I broke him. And I enjoyed every second of it. He refused at first, but when faced with death, Tommy realized he'd rather go through hell with me before dying and joining Wilbur. He finally feared me like everyone else. And I enjoyed every moment."
"But there was still someone else who never feared you," Puffy said. "You've broken Tommy again by killing him. But Wilbur, from what I've heard, he was the only other person who stood up to you. You're scared of him, otherwise I think you would have brought him back by now."
"That's implying that I can actually do it as we speak," Dream said, lowering his voice, "But I know that unless it endangers someone else or me you can't say a word about our little session to Sam. I can't bring back Wilbur without Ghostbur being present."
"Even if I can't say anything, he would never visit you, so it doesn't matter," Puffy said, "And now I see, that you have no remorse for anything you've done. You're a waste of my time, and now I have to disappoint Conner."
"Good," Dream said, "because I'm never changing. You can't be a villain if you think what you're doing is right. But if that makes me the villain to everyone else, so be it."
