CHAPTER 26

       SAMS POV

"Fuck it."

Sammy's hands found my hair and crashed his lips onto my own.

I was taken aback by his actions, but I can't lie and say I didn't want it. The way he looked at me alone made me want to kiss him.

Was this wrong? Maybe, but at the moment I wasn't thinking straight.

As soon as his soft lips met mine, I froze, hesitating at first but soon went in sync with his lips. A shot of electricity went through my entire body, and everywhere he placed his hands, it was like fire touching me.

Our kiss was slow, yet passionate and I could feel every feeling I had been feeling toward Sammy recently all in one kiss.

He brushed his soft lips against mine, making mine tingle at the sensation. He was about to pull away as our eyes met, but something came over me and my hands found his hair as I pulled him down back to my lips.

He smiled against my lips as he caught the hint.

The kissing intensified as our lips moved in sync, feeling as if they were made for each other. His tongue brushed against my lips, asking for entrance, and I let him right away. Our tongues swirled together for a short moment before he went back to kissing me passionately. His hands roamed against my body, barely touching my sides in the process.

My breathing got heavier in the process as I ran my hands through his soft hair, gripping onto it which made him smirk against my lips

It was all well until the sound of our door was opening.

I quickly pulled away from Sammy and looked at him with wide eyes before pushing him away. I may have used too much force though considering he stumbled off of me, and right onto the floor with a bang.

I lay on my back, looking up to the ceiling in hopes nobody had seen what happened between Sammy and I.

Honestly, what the hell did happen?

I won't lie, he sure did know how to kiss.

"Sams...ha, get it? Because you're both named around the same name." Skye yelled out, with the door closing behind her.

Wait, how did she get in?!

"Skye!" I bolted up in a sitting position, and she finally came into the doorway with furrowed eyebrows.

"Uh, hi?"

"Hello!" I jumped off from the bed, and dashed across the room, far away from Sammy.

Yeah, I could've acted more natural than that.

"You okay?" Skye asked as her eyes scanned the room, "Where's Sammy, and why aren't you guys ready to check out?"

"Because we slept in?" I say, but it comes out in a questioning tone.

Sammy peaked his head from the side of the bed as he rubbed his face with his right hand, "Okay now, that one hurt."

"Sam! What did I tell you about hurting Sammy, it's not nice." Skye started to lecture me as she crossed her arms in front of her chest.

I mentally let out a sigh of relief before looking over at Sammy who was now standing up, dusting off his sweatpants.

"It was truly an accident," I replied with a small shrug.

"Yeah, that's what you said before." He was raising his left hand in the air, making me narrow my eyes at him.

Yet, I couldn't stay mad or annoyed with him. At this point, I'm kind of sad Skye walked in. The feelings I just felt with Sammy, I've never felt before.

Not even with Travis.

Which makes me want more.

"Whatever you two, just hurry up. We have to be out in 30 minutes." Skye sighed as she walked to the door.

"Wait a minute, how did you even get in?" The question popped up in my mind once more, and she gave me a wide grin.

"His aunt gave me a keycard to your room." She winked before exiting the door, leaving Sammy and I to be alone once again.

We looked at each other for a slight moment before I let a breath out, entering the bathroom to gather all my things.

It's going to be hard to get him out of my mind from now on, and for a second, I didn't quite mind that.

A FEW DAYS LATER

It's been a weird past couple of days, Sammy and I just acted like nothing had happened yet you could still feel the oddly new chemistry we had.

But most days we just were at school and didn't hang out outside of school unless it was as a group with Ryan and Skye.

I lay down on my bed as I stared at my ceiling, remembering the feeling of Sammy's lips on mine. As I said before it was damn hard to get this man out of my head.

I threw my hands down on my bed as I sighed dramatically.

What the hell is going on with me?

Why did I let my enemy kiss me, and why did I like it so much?

This isn't right. This is bad, and my parents would be pissed if they ever would find out.

My phone suddenly buzzed, making me pick it up from my side to glance at who it was.

Sammy?

But this time he wasn't messaging Eviee. He was messaging me, as in Sam, in text messages?

A quick flash of excitement jumped through my bones as his name was displayed on my phone. The last messages we had were from when we did the project, but suddenly he texted me out of the blue.

Sammy: have you told Skye yet?

Without any context, I knew what he was talking about.

Sam: No...

I replied a little too quickly, but I didn't care.

Sammy: yeah, I haven't told Ryan either. not sure if we should just yet?

Sam: Yeah, honestly I don't know. I want to, but I don't even think we know what's going on between us. Maybe we say something when we're sure...what this whole thing is?

Sammy: yeah..I guess that's a reason. not going to lie though, but keeping it a secret is kind of fun

I rolled my eyes as a smile appeared on my lips.

Sam: I should've known you would say some shit like that lol

Sammy: what can I say? I'm unpredictable.

I laughed lightly at his text before responding but was soon cut off by my door opening. My parents never really cared about my privacy and knocking.

"Sweetie?" My Mom lightly knocked on the door acting like I wasn't going to allow her inside.

"Yeah?" I glanced up from my phone, and furrowed my brows once I saw her pained expression, "Wait, is everything okay?"

She nodded slowly but then shrugged.

"Yeah, I just feel like we haven't seen you much. Plus with all the shit happening with the cafe, it's been hard." She spoke once more, and I furrowed my brows once the smell of alcohol hit my nostrils as she walked in further.

Was she drunk?

"Mom? Have you been drinking?" I asked, flickering my eyes around her.

She shrugged carelessly, "What? Can I not drink?"

"You hate drinking especially after-"

"Don't say his name." She stopped me from speaking with a cold voice.

I flinch back at the tone of her voice and blinked a few times before speaking once more, "I think you should go to sleep, where's Dad?"

"No, I'm not sleeping!" Her voice raised.

"Mom..." I reached out to place a hand on her shoulder, but she moved away.

"You know what, never mind! You're useless to talk to. I thought you'd help me through a hard time, but you're just like your father...worthless!" Her voice raised once more, making me flinch at her sudden rage. I was shocked that my Mother was drunk when she hated drinking and was now yelling at me calling me worthless.

Tears formed in my eyes, not knowing what to say next, but before I could say anything, she stormed out the door, slamming it shut.

I stared at the door, not knowing what the hell happened. A tear fell down my cheek, and I quickly wiped it away.

Without thinking, I did something I never thought I'd do.

Sam: I'm coming over.

I hit send and quickly jumped up to my feet to start throwing my things in my bag.

I was getting out of this house for a night.
