That night will be the happiest night for Jin because that night on his birthday he gets the perfect gift that no one else can get easily, even if he has to wait a long, long time to be able to feel it.

Jin had gathered with the other guards, he kept smiling while looking up at the night sky, the moon with the stars around it. Jin and the others were ready to release the lanterns in their hands when King Jeon gave an order from the balcony of the castle, Jin looked in that direction and smiled when the Prince only focused on him.

Even the place they were in represented something untouchable, the Prince was on the balcony of the castle and Jin was in the courtyard with the others. When the lanterns began to fly, Jin looked up at the sky, it was so beautiful, his eyes twinkled at the beauty of the night, and all the people cheered making Jin smile and close his eyes. He uttered a prayer, which only he and god could hear.

The party ended well, very well, the people one by one returned to their homes, and all the royal servants and guards started cleaning all the courtyards, tidying them up as before the snow started to fall in the morning.

"Jin, can you help me? over here" Soobin said.

"Oh sure," Jin said he walked over to Soobin to help him carry some stuff.

"I saw it," Soobin said.

"What do you see?" Jin stopped and turned to Soobin.

"You and the Prince" Soobin said and Jin widened.

"What are you doing Jin? he's a Prince, and you just--"

"I know, I know my position well," Jin said.

"Then why did you let him do that? You know tomorrow he's going to marry Princess Nayeon? Don't ever dream of him doing that because he has feelings for you, because I'm sure he just wants to have fun, I saw the same thing in them when I accompanied him there," Soobin said and Jin fell silent.

"Jin, you don't think he did that because he loves you do you?" Soobin said and Jin held back his tears and looked down.

"I...I'm tired, do you mind doing it yourself?" Jin said and he raised his head to face Soobin.

"Jin," Soobin took Jin's hand.

"You're right, I shouldn't dream like that, he can't possibly love me, I'm just a guard who is easily fooled by the Prince's charms," Jin said.

"Hey, no, don't say that, you are so priceless Jin, at least for me," Soobin said and Jin was silent when Soobin brought his face closer to Jin.

"Jin," Hearing that voice, Soobin immediately moved away from Jin and they lowered their heads when the Prince came to them.

"Your Highness," Soobin said.

"You go," the Prince said.

"But your Highness--"

"I said go!" Prince said with an irritated face, Soobin turned to Jin before leaving them.

"And you, come with me," Prince said and Jin followed behind him, Prince led him to the stables.

"What did you do with him?" The Prince said as his steps stopped in front of the Holy stable.

"I didn't do anything, your highness," Jin said.

"Stop lying!!!" Prince snapped at him, making several guards who were there turned towards them.

"You all get out of here! Right now!" Prince said and they rushed away.

"He wants to kiss you and you--"

"Your Highness, why are you like this? I didn't do anything with him and it's true, so what about you? Have you told me everything about you and Princess Nayeon? What have you done with her? I don't even want to know about that, but now I want you to tell me," Jin said.

"What do you mean? I didn't do anything with her," Prince said.

"Was the kiss I saw the first and last?" Jin said.

"Jin, did Soobin tell you? no, he misunderstood, it's not what he saw and--"

"So it's true?" Jin said with tears on his cheeks.

"Jin I can--"

"No your Highness, tomorrow is your wedding day so be prepared for it," Jin said and he tried to leave but Prince chased him and pulled his hand.

"Wait," the Prince said.

"Let me go!" Jin said and he withdrew his hand from the Prince.

"I can explain it to you," the Prince said.

"I don't need that explanation, from the start I didn't need anything from you, Your Highness, like I said, being by your side is more than enough for me, you don't need to do anything," Jin said.

"No, no you should still listen to my explanation, she tried to do it again, but it just--"

"Just what? a kiss? then what do we do? that's just a kiss too" Jin said, his heart hurt so much at that time and he left the Prince who was silent there.
