Abhimanyu's POV

I travelled directly from my office to the location which my mom sent me. The house was an independent one and it had a huge garden are. To be honest it looked like a realistic film set. I gave a call to my mom, noticing our car being parked there already.

She came quickly and dragged me in, I said Namaste to the elderly man who was seated in the opposite side. There was a woman of my mother's age who was standing at the end of the couch and I assumed the she is Ekantha's mother and wished her too, she just gave me a pleasant smile.

Oh! Wait, I do know about Ekantha, I haven't told you all may be but my mother being extra sweet she doesn't want me to be embarrassed so all she does is give me the details and I scan them before going to the match making process.

The elders were talking something. Mayu wasn't here as she had exams and I was practically getting bored, I started playing with my hands to kill time. My mother noticed it and nudged me to stop doing it and the other chuckles at my childish thing.

"Call Ekantha",uncle told aunty and she nodded.

Finally! Wait, no no I am not desperate but you can call it curiosity to see the bride and get back to home. I was tired duh!

Ekantha's POV :

Ani woke me up and we did last minute touch up and set my saree and hair style properly. To be honest I was least interested in such things also in addition now I am nervous to meet them. I am not that kind of person who mingles up and becomes friends so easily. I have my insecurities along with my introvert behavior. I don't know how am I able to cope up with all this. My over thinking isn't helping me in any way.

My mother handed me the coffee cups in a plate and asked me to serve them. Wow! Now this is going to be fun (note the sarcasm).

There were two middle aged couple sitting in the couch beside them a man of who is in his 20's. I gave them a sweet awkward smile and served both of them the coffee. Now comes the most tough job giving "HIM" Coffee. My eyes were looking at the plate and coffee but not him. Abhi took the coffee from her and I could feel his gaze on me. I handed the plate to her mother and sat beside my father.

"Dear, have you completed your studies?",the woman asked.

" Yes aunty! Today I got a job in a school",I replied.

"That's great! We don't have any problem with that neither does Abhi",the woman was smiling widely and that's when I noticed the person sitting beside her.

Our eyes met and it was kind of awkward for me but ke kept on gawking at me. I turned my gaze towards the table. It felt way too awkward than I thought.

"Ekantha dear, take him to the lawn. You can talk there. It would uncomfortable here amidst of us", my mother suggested and Anika stood behind her she was giving me best of luck looks and I lowered my gaze and got up from my place and that person followed me.

Abhimanyu's POV

There she came, she looked like a heavenly beauty and it didn't take me long to realize what I was doing, Oh god! I was staring at her. What would she think of me? A creep! Gone man! First impression gone!

She served coffee to my mom and dad and then to me. Now was the time to have a close look at her and I think it was a bit too much for her, she was uncomfortable I could feel it. Oh wait man! She didn't look at me! Sigh don't act too desperate Abhi control!!

She sat beside her father and I was still observing every minute details which were visible on her face. Oh c'mon dude, not in that way but her face is angelic and everyone who would look at her would want to keep on looking at it for the rest of their life.

I just wanted to see once if she smiles genuinely. She looked at me and man! Our eyes met, there was some awkwardness somewhere but I don't want to lose her at any cost. This is it! She is my better half, the missing piece of my puzzle. Too cheesy? Never mind. I felt like that.

Her father asked us to go to the lawn and talk and this was the best thing I thought and followed her. I heard that she was a bit introvertish but it's fine.

Author's POV

Both Ekantha and Abhimanyu sat on the chairs with a table in middle.

"Hey! I am Abhimanyu, Abhimanyu Bharadwaj",he introduced himself and she kept mum.

She looked downwards and got up from there, he followed her and placed a hand on her shoulder.

She stepped back and glared at him.

" Woah! Woah! Sorry if that made you uncomfortable. I just wanted to talk that is all. Don't take me wrong",he blabbered.

"It's okay! I am not that comfortable with strangers. Please don't mind me, what do we have to talk?",she asked.

" Was that supposed to be a joke? I mean why did you get ready?",he asked.

"For the match making thing",she replied bluntly.

" Then we would have to talk about that only right? Don't worry! I was just pulling your leg. So, I won't beat around the bush. I know it's difficult and definitely we can't decide our future in a simple talk, so let's keep it till here. My mom told me things about you, but do you know about me?",he asked and she was embarrassed. She only knew his name nothing else.

She nodded her head as No and he let out a chuckle.

"No problem! Before that are you okay getting married or are you forced?",he asked.

She didn't speak, " Should I take it as a yes or no Ekantha?", he asked.

"No, I am not forced. But, it's just that I have my bunch of insecurities and fears and what not. So it would take time for me to open up completely. I know you might not be expecting someone like this, it's absolutely alright if you reject me also",she said and that was the first time he heard her.

Her voice was melodious and addictive, he wanted to hear more of it. But the things she spoke made it clear to him that she was most insecure about things. Most importantly she was scared of failure.

"It's ok! I would wait for you. I am not going to say it as yes there outside but let's meet up again. We can have a good talk then maybe? Yea?",he was expecting to listen her angelic voice yet again.

" Yea! Thank you, But I am complicated and you may get annoyed because of me and you might want to leave me one day. Before going forward think again Abhi garu",she said.

"Ekantha garu, I am sure about it. If you are not okay about it let me know I won't cause any trouble",he said and smiled.

"No no! When should we meet again?",she asked nervously and bent her head yet again.

" If you are comfortable let me know your mobile number. I will text you? Yea?",he asked looking at her with some tiny hope.

"Yes! It's **********",she said and he smiled.

" Done, shall we go now?",he asked.

"Abhi garu! What if they ask us to decide now?",she asked.

" I will take care of it Ekantha garu! You don't worry! Don't stress out! When is your first day for school?",he asked.

"Next Monday andi( some respect) ",she said.

" That's amazing! We will meet before or after that?",he asked.

"Anytime andi",she said.

" Okay then, let's go now",he said and they both walked into the living room.

"Have you both decided something?",Ketan asked.

" Uncle, actually we would like to meet up some more times and then come to a final decision. Hope you won't mind it, it's not in a wrong way but to understand each other uncle that's all. I know we have all our life time to do it, but please try to understand uncle",Abhi spoke in a mature enough manner.

"But dear, we would have to answer the society about this right?",Ketan asked.

"Uncle, society won't come and live with us after marriage right? Don't take me seriously but that's what I mean to say",he said and smiles.

" Let them take some more time brother! It won't be a problem. What matters is our children's happiness right brother",Vishalakshi spoke out and Ketan nodded.

"We will take your leave then sir",Virendra said and soon they left from Ekantha's home.

Two days for my last exam, tomorrow is English and I got some free time so I am here with an update.
