..She was hissing in pain as he had twisted her arms around. Sobbing silently she was waiting for his release and he did. He pushed her away throwing a cold sharp look while she sighed in relief and turned to him wiping her tears.
.." How many times do I have to tell you. Tuhme sirf meri biwi banne ki acting karni hai. Sachme meri biwi banne ki koi zaroorat nahi hai ( He gritted his teethes lashing her from up to down while she mumbled sorry )
.." I'm sorry. Mujhe nahi pata tha ek family kai liye dinner banane sai..mai aapki biwi ban jaungi. I was just trying to bring them together ( She snapped backed lowly only to get slapped by him. He grabbed her mouth along with her hair and glared like a wounded lion )
.." Don't try to act smart! They don't care about me and I don't care about them. Woh sirf meri naam ki family hai jaise tum..sirf mere naam ki biwi hoh! Otherwise..( He was muttering when she cut off him in mid )

If my Appa wouldn't had been in hospital suffering from his disease toh mai bhi yaha nahi hoti. She hold backed her tears and sat down rubbing her arm which was twisted badly by him )
..Nandini Murthy a bubbly and out of box girl of 24. She always had lived a carefree and birdy life until her Appa started suffering from a diseases and the responsibility of curing him and running her orphanage came upon her. Though she had her hosting work in her hands. But the economy through it wasn't sufficient. On a random day her favorite yellow scooter had got bumped with a lavish Mercedes and the owner was non other than a rude guy who was in search of a contract wife for his business works. After a huge fight on first meet they had met again together on same hospital which was specifically owned by him. On third meet he had known about her conditions and kept a deal to became his contract wife and in return he will allow the hospital to treat her father for free. She had accepted the deal but didn't knew the monster was more monster from inside and was going to trap the little bubbly bird in his cage of hell.
..It was late by now and Nandini was already fast asleep on floor leaning by the bed. Her sleep got broke when Manik entered inside hell tired from his work. She was rubbing her eyes when he threw a box on her and turned away opening his Raymond's blazer.
.." Kal party hai. Hoh sake toh apne yeh stupid down market types clothes chodke ishe pehena. You have to look classy and elegant samjhi ( He ordered while she nodded with cold face and went towards balcony where her sofa was present. She tucked herself inside blanket and drifted to sleep while Manik nodded in disbelief )
.." Thousand times I've told not to sleep in balcony any day she'll catch cold. Anyway why I'm caring though ( He mumbled and went to washroom to wash himself out )
..Nandini tucked another pearl earring and smiled to herself. The black was really looking beautiful on her. She blinked her eyes.
.." Are waah! Sachi abhi agar ush khadoos ki nakli biwi nahi hoti nah toh sure ek ek ki hawa tight hoh jati tujhe dekh kar Nandu. ( She exclaimed praising her beauty and next moment Manik came out adjusting his blazer. She composed herself and looked muttering curse upon him )
.." You're ready toh chale neeche. Sab wait kar rahe honge ( He mumbled while she nodded and stood up walking upto him)
..He kept his hand around her waist and she felt like 440 volt sparkling inside her. She gulped in anxiety while he started walking along with her.
..The party was going on warm pleasure. Nandini was smiling and talking to everyone while Manik was with his colleagues. He was continually looking at her while unaware of his gaze she was lost in her own world.
.." congratulations Manik. Tumne itna bada deal achieve kar liya and didn't bothered to call you're beloved mother and sister? Not fair ( Ashwini Malhotra spoke walking upto Manik while he smirked )
.." Look. Who's talking. Joh log bina bataye kahi bhi tapak jate hai. Unhe kis baat ka invitation dear mom ( Manik taunted her while she made a whatever look. Manik looked at his step sister Rohini who was smiling at him. She adjusted her pink spectacles and went to hug him )
.." Bhai. Where is Nandu Bhabhi. She had promised me ki woh mujhe apne friends sai milwayegi. You know naa nobody is my friend ( She whispered while Manik ruffled her hair softly. He didn't knew what Nandini had promised to her but if its about her happiness then he had not that problem if she gets along with Nandini )
..Next day Nandini took Rohini along with her while Manik had to be with them as he can't leave Rohini alone. He made a weird look as the Mercedes parked near a orphanage which was far away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
.." Okay so Rohini. Ready to meet all you're new friends? ( Nandini exclaimed and Rohini clapped in joy. They hopped out and walked inside while Manik followed them adjusting his clothes.
.." Sheela! Chinky! Babloo! ( Nandini exclaimed as they entered inside and the kids were on cloud 9 seing their Nandu Di after a long age. They all ran to hug her while she started to twirk them around)
.." Bacha log. This Rohini tum logo ki nayi friend! Ishe bhi apne group mai add karoge na? ( Nandu asked while they nodded in yes and soon the kids were on their playing world. Nandu's eyes fell on Manik who was standing in corner looking at her with blank face )
.." Bache tuhmare saath bhi khelna chahte hai. Ab yeh mat bolna ki tuhme inse bhi problem hai ( Nandu mumbled as she went near him.)
.." I hate kids. Mujhe yeh bacche bilkul pasand nahi. You go and play you're stupid games ( He mumbled while she nodded in obvious as knew this was his exact answer. Why to expect from him )
.." By the way. You..you never looked this much happy before. Tum hamesha itni khush kabhi nahi dikhi ( Manik frown as he spoke while Nandu sighed looking at him)
.." Khush hone kai liye. Tumne kabhi koi wajah hi nahi di. Agar kuch diya hai toh yeh..( She said pointing at her wounded body and left giving a faint smile )
..A sort guilty sensation filled inside him as he realize what she said. He looked at her happy and content face which had been there but because of his ego and anger she was always away from what she actually deserved. She was hiding herself from him.
..It was another random day and Manik returned from his usual office work. He kept his bag loosening his tie when a sudden scream shocked him to the core.
.." Got it! Bahut dhoonda ab jake mila tu bhai! ( Nandu shouted coming out from below the bed. She was holding a small rat in her hands and glaring at him )
.." Toh tu hi haina woh. Jisne mere dresses kai tugde tugde kar diya. So now that you've been caught then bolo..maar diya jaaye yaa chod diya jaaye. Bol tere saath kya kiya jaye ( Nandu asked while the rat was doing nothing but making a small sounds )
.." Chal tu bhi kya yaad rakhega. Jaa chod diya! You know kanoon ka insaf andha hota hai. Tu bhi kya yaad rakhega. Lekin galti sai bhi us khadoos ki nazar mai mat aana. Maine toh chod diya kya pata woh sadu Manik tujhe fire karde! ( She exclaimed and let go off the little rat. She sighed and turned around only to see a shock plus confused Manik before her.
.." Tum..tum ek rat sai baat kar rahi thi. Like rat ?! ( Manik mumbled with a disbelief look while Nandu shrugged making a pouty look )
.." So what. Pata hai ish duniya mai sirf bade bade chize hi exist nahi karte. There small small things to jinki apni ahmiyat aur wazood hoti hai. In choti choti cheezo sai hi toh badi badi chize banti hai. Inse joh khushi milti hai..( She was speaking with a content smile and stopped in mid as she looked at him )
.." Anyway mai bhi kishko bol rahi hu. Tumhe toh problem hai har choti cheez sai. You be happy with you're empire and money and all ( She mumbled and left while he looked down smiled weakly )
..Manik was in his study when Rohini came inside and started dragging him with her.
.." Bhai bahar chalo na Bhabhi and me are making boats. It's so fun..aap bhi chalo ( She pleaded dragging him while finding no other way he had to go along with her. They came out and he saw Nandini making paper boats and placing them on pool)
.." Rohini see you're favorite pink boat ( Nandu exclaimed and turned to see Manik gazing at her. Fading her smile away she turned back to continue her boat making process. Manik bit his lips and went to sit beside her while Rohini joined Nandu in the process)
.." Manik Malhotra apna precious kaam chodkar ek mamuli paper boat banane kai liye aa gaya. Great ( She mumbled inwardly which was heard by Manik. He ignored her words and tried to make the paper boat which was obviously not happening )
.." Hahaha..boat bana rahe hoh yaa ushki operation kar rahe hoh..wait I'll show you ( Nandini exclaimed and started to teach him. Like a innocent kid he was following her )
.." Hey..its floating see! ( Manik exclaimed pointing towards his boat. He let out a laugh seing the boat and Nandu glanced at him. A small paper boat brought a laugh on his face. His laugh was so beautiful. She would keep staring at her but her trance was broke when Rohini pushed her down in water and started clapping in joy )
.." Rohini! ( She exclaimed and pulled her inside with her. Manik got up quietly and started walking away to give them space. Before he could get inside he took last glance of her and went smiling to himself )
..It was time of new year eve and Malhotra's were having their own private party. Manik was waiting for Nandu who had gone to visit her Appa. He glanced at clock every now and then.
.." Appa..see you're favorite payasam. Maine apne hatho sai banaya hai ( She exclaimed as she opened the lid while her Appa made a dangerous look )
.." Phir toh take it back. You're cooking is like too dangerous.( He teased while Nandu pouted in anger. He giggled and spread his arms while she smiled and hopped into his arms. Then her phone beeped flashing Manik's name and she took it immediately as she know he doesn't like to wait.)
.." If you won't reach here in next 15 minutes then I'm gonna fire you out samjhi ( He ordered while she sighed and cursed him. She always had to go according to him )
..It was third bottle that Manik had finished. He was bit drunken by now. He glanced around and saw Nandu talking to Rohini. He walked up to her and dragged her along with her. She struggled but in vain. He dragged her and kept her on his bed kneeling before her.
.." Tumne kaafi pee lee hai Manik. You need to rest chalo ( She mumbled but he nodded in no and held her hands tight )
.." Yaar tum hamesha khush kaise reh paati hoh. I mean how can you learn to smile like that. Mera bhi man karta hai khush rehne koh. Smile karne koh but don't know why. I can't..I just can't ( He mumbled while she frown hard in confusion )
.." Yeah. I want to smile. I want to laugh like anything. Will you? Kya tum mujhe smile karna sikhaogi. You're smile..it's so beautiful. It makes you more beautiful ( He mumbled cupping her face and coming over her )
.." Manik tum hosh mai nahi hoh ( She whispered while he palmed her mouth and gently made her lye on bed hovering over her )
.." You'll teach me right. Mujhe bhi khush rehna hai..smile karna hai. Please just teach me. Please make me beautiful..the way you are ( He mumbled and started kissing her. She cried trying to push him away but he was too stronger than her )
.." Manik you'll regret and I'll too. Dono koh saza bhukatni padegi. Please ( She pleaded but deaf to hear her words he kept on kissing her until she lost her control and gave on and it turned to be their first beautiful night which brought a horrible effect along with it )
..Nandini was taking shower smiling and blushing to herself. She didn't knew why and how it happened but the feeling was something which she can't describe in words. When she came out of washroom the site before her was enough to make her shock.
..things were lying here and there broken into pieces and Manik was standing palming his face and panting in anger. She kept the towel aside and walked to him while he grabbed her by arms and gave a deadly glare.
.." How the hell did this happen! You and me? Seriously! Don't tell me it was you're well plotted plan and now you've succeed in it ( Manik muttered while she widened her eyes in shock. Never in her wildest dream she can think like that)
.." Tum khud nashe mai thai Manik. Infact I tried stopping you but you didn't. It was you not me ( She whispered while he pushed her away angrily )
.." Jhoot. I can't do such a shit like this. I'm sure..tumne hi instigate kiya hoga mujhe. Mere saath raat guzarogi and then you'll cry and all then stupid sa drama start karogi. Khudko pity feel karwaogi and then paise lootogi. Bolo yahi chahti thi na ( He muttered angrily while she clutched her fist and punched him hard)
.." You disgust me Manik. Kya kaha thaa. Nandini you're smile is beautiful..that makes you even beautiful. I also want to smile but can't. Mujhse pooch rahe thai..kya tum mujhe bhi hasna sikhaoge? Aur jab ab hosh aaya toh you're blaming me! Kaha thaa maine we'll regret..true it was ( She mumbled with tears while Manik nodded in disbelief )
.." Drama karna koi tumse sikhe. What you want? Money right? Wait ( He mumbled and went to cupboard. He took out a cheque and came to throw on her face )
.." blank cheque! Jitna aesh karna hai..kar lena but now..get lost ( He shouted making her numb on her place. But somehow she composed herself and glared at him )
.." Mr.Manik Malhotra! Agar paise dikhane ka raub haina toh apne khud kai paiso sai dikhao. Apne dad kai paiso sai toh koi bhi rich ban sakta hai. Khudke dam par ek chai ka stall kholkar dikhao toh manu! Yeh blank cheque..tabhi phekna jab khud dum par kuch kama pao get that ( She shouted and went to grab something from drawer )
.." Yeh..ish contract kai dum par apna wife cum slave banake rakha thaa naa. Take this ( She mumbled and tear the contract into pieces. Throwing the pieces on his face she sighed )
.." Apne Appa aur apne orphanage ka dhyaan mai khud rakh sakti hu. Apne jitne bhi concerns ab tak dikhaye. Ushke liye thanks but no thanks ( She mumbled and barged out of the room while he thumped his feets cursing upon her.)
..It had been few days since Nandini had left him. But god knows how badly he was missing her. The silence was killing him every moment but he wasn't ready to accept the fact that he really was missing her.
.." Nandini..I need coffee"...
.." Nandini my files"...
.." Nandini where are you"...
..All these words would echoed in the lonely mansion. Manik always forget the fact that Nandini was longer with him. Still he would shout for her like a mad hoping she will just appear from somewhere.
.." I miss you Nandini ( Manik mumbled as he sat on his study caressing her picture over his mobile.
.." I know. I've hurted you badly. I've always tortured you like anything. But I also can't deny the fact that I'm addicted to you. Jab sai tum gayi hoh tabse yeh ehsaas hua hai tum kya thi mere liye. ( He mumbled as he rubbed his nose sobbing lightly )
.." Ek tum hi toh thi whom with I can fight..laugh etc. Ab toh koi bhi nahi jishke saath mai yeh sab kar saku. I miss you..miss you badly ( He mumbled and leaned back keeping the mobile over his chest.
..Nandini was sitting beside window. Since when her Appa had died she had nothing left but the orphanage which was her responsibility. She had forgot to smile..laugh and enjoy life. She become a living dead body with no soul inside her.
.." Nandu Di ( Her trance got broke when a kid called her out. She wiped her tears and turned to him with a fake smile )
.." Aapse milne koi aaya hai ( He announced and left while she frown in confusion and stood up and walked out to mee the person who had visited to meet her )
.." Hi Nandini..mai Manik ki dadi. Hum sayad pehli baar mil rahe hai lekin maine tuhmare bare mai suna hai. Manik har din..har pal sirf tuhmare bare mai baat karta hai..tuhme yaad karta hai par darta hai tuhme apne paas wapas bulane kai liye ( Dadi spoke as she was sitting on chair and Nandu was sitting down leaning before her )
.." Room mai bhar bhar kai paper boats banake rakhe hai. Kehta hai meri Nandini inhe banana sikhaya hai. Chote chote chize sai pagalo ki tarah baate karta rehta hai. Kehta hai meri Nandini nai kaha hai choti choti cheezo sai hi khushiya milti hai ( She mumbled smiling at her while Nandini looked down shedding tears )
.." Aap yeh sab mujhe kyu bata rahi hoh ( Nandini mumbled while Dadi cupped her face and wiped her tears away )
.." Jaanti hu..ushne galti ki hai. Par ush galti ka ehsaas hai ushko. Chalo mere saath..tuhme kuch dikhana hai ( Dadi exclaimed and held her hands taking her away)
..Rolling the car window down Dadi pointed towards something while making a confused look she looked towards the direction only to get shocked from the site before her. Sweating badly Manik was working on a garage. She palmed her mouth as she saw him a worst condition which she couldn't imagine in her wildest dreams.
.." Jabse tumne ushka ghamand toda hai. Tabse woh zid kar raha thaa ki apne dum par hi kuch karega. Kuch jagah as a employee he tried but koi ushko ushki real status kai wajah sai lene koi tayyar nahi thaa. Phir ushko yaha kaam mil gaya..tab sai woh yahi mehnat kar raha hai. Kiske liye..sirf tuhmare liye ( She said keeping her hand on Nandini who was crying badly by now. She turned away her face from him and hugged her tightly )
.." I know tuhmare liye aashan nahi ushe maaf karna.Pyaar toh sayad ushe hamesha sai thaa tuhmare saath par sayad ushka ego ushke pyaar sai bafa hoh gaya. Apna waqt loh..par hoh sake toh wapas aa jao warna mera Manik jeete jee mar jayega ( Dadi mumbled patting her back while she still was sobbing inside her )
.." Yaad hai Manik tumne pucha thaa ki kya mai tuhme hasna sikha sakti hu? ( Nandini asked while Manik was looking down. He nodded lightly while she sniffed )
.." Jab mai khud hasna bhool gayi toh tuhme kaise sikha paungi Manik. I can't..( She cried while he looked at her. He went closer to her and cupped her face gently )
.." I know par ishka matlab yeh nahi that you'll not smile ever again. You're smile is my responsibility now aur chahe kuch bhi hoh jaye mai tuhme phirse hasna sikha dunga ( He gave a assuring look while she took step backed shoving his hands away )
.." Bharosha nahi hai tumpar aur khud par ( She mumbled and left which hurted him a lot but that he knew it was his mistake. He only has to make things to the right)
.." Happy Birthday Nandu Di ! ( The kids of orphanage exclaimed as one of them unfold her blind fold. She glanced around as the room was well decorated. She gave a weak smile and then a familiar voice caught her attention.)
.." Happy Birthday Nandu..yeh dekho tuhmara favorite pineapple cake. Ahh don't worry yeh maine apne mehnat kai paiso sai liye hai so you can have it ( He winked while she turned her face away )
.." Haa aur pata hai Di yeh sab decorations bhi Manik bhaiya nai kiya hai. Chalo na Di cake kato. Ab aur wait nahi hota ( A kid exclaimed all nodded in yes clapping their hands )
..Blowing the candles she cutted the cake and feeded the kids one by one and lastly she stopped as it was Manik's turn. He was waiting for her. She kept the piece on his hand and left which obviously hurted him a bit but then smiled stuffing the cake. Nandini came out and stared at the dark sky. She palmed her ears as a loud thunderstorm took place and it started raining heavily.
.." Beautiful ( She mumbled as she spread her arms and felt the fresh aroma of the rain )
..She then felt his hands wrapping around her waist and pulling her closer to him.
.." I know how deep is you're love for the rain but you don't know how deep my love has become for you when you were away ( He whispered and hugged her tightly keeping his face on croock of her neck )
.." I know it's difficult for you. But I'm more than ready to wait. But not ready to leave you. You're presence is like addiction for me. Love me or hate me but please don't leave me ( He mumbled while she let out tears and struggled to leave but he grabbed her more tightly )
.." Please..just don't ( He mumbled while she turned and hugged him tightly. All the tears and pain which she had been holding since long had bursted out )
.." Tumse jyada takleef maine sahi hai. Kaha thaa maine we both will regret aur wahi hua. Jitna tumne mujhe miss kiya usshe jyada maine tuhme kiya. Tuhmare orders..tuhmari daat ushme chupa tuhmara care everything. Pata nahi chala tuhmare saath rehte rehte kab tumse pyaar hoh gaya. Ish khadoos chehre kai peeche ek bhola sa bacha bhi hai..jaan gayi thi ( She giggled as she looked at him while he poked her nose )
.." Aur ish dhooki chehre kai peeche ek bubbly face bhi hai I know that. Remember jab ush din party kai pehle khudko mirror mai dekhar khudki tarif kar rahi thi. I had heard everything. You're washroom shower songs. Cursing on my photos. Keeping dead cockroaches on my pillow. Sab pata thaa mujhe ( He teased while she blushed and went back into his embrace )
.." Ish baar sambhal paayi khudko. Par agli baar nah kar pau. Please Manik..mujhe kabhi mat chodna or else I'll die ( She whispered while he tightened their grip and kissed her head )
.." Well same goes for you. Dare you think of leaving me I'll die for sure ( He mumbled and they kept on soaking in each other's arms )
.." Dadi you know Manik yeh side is so beautiful. I didn't knew this rude guy actually had a beautiful heart. Itna pyaar karta hai mujhse. ( Nandu exclaimed as she was kneeling before her who was smiling caressing her face )
.." mai nah kehti thi Manik badal chuka hai.( Dadi exclaimed and very next moment Nandini's phone beeped. She received and disconnected after some time )
.." Dadi orphanage mai kuch kaam hai. Mai thodi dair mai wapas aa jaungi ( She exclaimed and left while Dadi nodded and leaned by the chair )
.." Dadi! Dadi! Dadi! ( After an hour so Manik barged inside and twirled Dadi around in joy. She pleaded to keep her down and he did. He took out a box from his pocket and smiled to the widest )
.." you know it's not that worth as diamond par joh bhi hai meri apni mehnat ki kamai sai hai. She will like this ring na Dadi? ( Manik asked while Dadi nodded in obvious )
.." Are pasand kya woh toh khushi kai mare jhoom uthegi. Teri mehnat aur pyaar bas aur kya chahiye. Wese ab tak toh ushka kaam hoh jana chahiye. Tu phone kar ushe ( Dadi exclaimed and he nodded dialling her number )
.." Hello..bolo Manik ( Nandu exclaimed from other side while Manik smirked )
.." Kaha hoh? Jaldi pahucho yaar ( He exclaimed and heard chuckle from other side )
.." Are abhi raashte par hu. Tum bolo toh sahi kya hua ? ( She exclaimed and he took a deep breathe composing himself )
.." Contract wife ka natak ab hoh gaya. Ab sachi muchi wife banne kai liye ready hoh jao ( He mumbled )
.." Heh?! Matlab ?? ( She asked in bit confusion while he gighled hard )
.." Matlab yeh ( He mumbled and before he could continue his surprise thing )
..BEEPPPP...with hight frequency of beep the call got disconnected. He frown and again dialled her number but it was unreachable.
..Manik was staring at Nandini who was lying on road coated in bloods. Her scooter was lying beside her whose wheel was still rotating. He was gazing at her eyes which was blank open. He was trying to seek emotions in it but in vain. It was just blank.
.." Truck nai kaafi jor sai mara hai. Dusre side sai kaafi speed mai aayi aur.( Police was informing while deaf to hear him Manik was just staring at her who was his everything.
..Nandini Murthy 1992-2016 . Manik stared at her grave and gently lye beside it. Softly caressing the grave he took out his ring which he had brought for her.
