I'm really very sorry Readers. I know I'm quite late this time. I'm very busy nowadays, I'm stuck with my studies + I just had a hair cut and I'm literally crying though, I miss my Long hair kya karun..😭😭😭😭

Anyways, I somehow managed to write this chapter yesterday. I'm apologising in advance because tbh, I'd written the whole update in my way & I really don't know how it's turned out to be.🙈

They were walking through the park hand in hand. After the kiss, they didn't say any single word to each other. Why? Perhaps, the silence was saying it all. She was staring at him every now and then. She wanted to express the feelings which she had for him.

"Manik, umm.., the kiss--"

"Nandini, I think it's too late. We should get to the place quick. It's not safe for you" He purposely changed the topic but she couldn't help but smiled at his concern, still looking at him

Suddenly frowns creased his forehead and his grip on her hand, got tightened. She was unable to figure out what was wrong?

"Manik?" She asked

"Nandini, there's a huge crowd" He said and this time, Nandini's gaze moved to the front where there were people, surrounding the road, celebrating the new year's eve. There was perhaps a kind of show was going on there.

"Manik, it's new year eve, so.."

"Yeah, I know & we are going by the other way. I can't afford to lose you in this crowd" She smiled at his answer. She had a belief that now, even if the world go against her, he would be there with her, holding her hand.

"Mumma..." Nandini heard sobs of a kid

She turned around and found a little boy, standing alone in the crowd, weeping constantly

She tried to move her hand out of Manik's grip but he gave her a look

"Nandini.."

"Manik, see there. I think the kid had got lost in the crowd" She said, pointing towards the child "We should help him no!" Manik nodded and both went in the crowd. People were pushing around, Nandini carefully marched closer to the little kid whereas Manik stayed a little away, staring at them

"Boy, why are you crying? Where's your mumma?" She asked as she bend on her knees, infront of the little kid

"Mumma, mumma.." He just cried and Nandini wanted a hint, where she could search for his mumma

"Baby!" They heard a female voice.

"Mumma!" He ran to a woman's arm. She was his mom. His mom kissed him numerous times on his face. Nandini smiled seeing their bond. A lone tear escaped her eyes. She was missing her mom, wasn't she?

"Be careful next time" She mumbled to the woman who just nodded smilingly and went away with her son

Nandini smiled and turned to the side but to her dismay, Manik wasn't there! Her smile faded away instantly. She marched forward, searching for him. There were so many people around and this made her panic.

She was lost! It wasn't like she didn't know the way to the place but, she didn't want to be alone. She wanted him by her side!

"Manik!!" She yelled out, looking everywhere but still, she couldn't get his glimpse

She ran forward when she bumped with someone. She was about to fall again but then, her saviour came to her rescue

"Careful!" There she heard his voice! She knew it was him. As soon she turned, she immediately clung to his arms.

"Manik, don't leave me alone again" She choked, he could hear her heavy breathing

"Nandini relax! I just went to buy this" They pulled apart and Manik showed her 2 cans of appletiser. He forwarded one towards her

"Seriously? I mean, you left me alone just to go and buy this?" She shook her head and took the can. Both started sipping the drink

Soon they were out of the crowded place. It was late and no vehicle was passing by so the decided to walk till her house as it wasn't too far away. They were walking on the silent street, he was glancing at her, each time. The way she was smiling, her sparkling eyes were telling how much happy she was and perhaps He was the reason behind her happiness.

"Aouch" She suddenly shrieked in pain and held her right foot

"What happen?" He became worried, and glanced at her feet

"Ahh..nothing" He wasn't convinced with her answer. Frowns on her forehead and he knew something was wrong with her feet

He shook his head and bend down to her feet. He held her right foot, Nandini held on his shoulders to keep herself still

"Manik, what are you doing?" She asked as she gave him a topsy turvy look

He kept mum and removed her heel. He did the same with the other one, while she was totally confused.

"Hold them but don't wear them" He gave her the heels and she grabbed them almost immediately

"Why did you do this? Why shouldn't I wear them?" She retorted

"Nandini, can't you see, you're not able to walk with them! You're feet are paining and your heels are the only reason behind it. So don't wear this stupid heels again." He explained cleanly and she frowned

"So how am suppose to walk without them? I can't walk bare feet either no so I don't have any other option" She shrugged and was about to put on her heels when she found herself being lifted up. It was Manik who had scooped her in his arms

"Manik!" She gasped with his sudden move. Well, she wasn't expecting Manik to take her in his arms though

"I--I can walk." She whispered

"I know you can't" He answered back "So let me help you" He gave her a genuine smile and she smiled back at him

She was feeling blessed. All seemed like a dream for her! Well, she never had a dream of having such caring and loving person beside her but as it says, the best things happen unexpectedly. She'd started feeling for him and now wanted him by her side, forever!

"Listen, from now on na, ladkiyon ke heels ke baare mein comment mat karna. Woh hurt ho jaati hai" She mumbled with a pout and Manik couldn't help but laughed

"You girls are psycho. I mean, jooton ko lekar kon emotional hota hai?" He laughed loudly and this annoyed her even more

"Haww! Psycho bola?! Utaro utaro!!" She wiggled in his arms, trying to get down

"Seriously?! What do want me to remove now?" He widened his eyes but she glared at him

"Neeche utaro mujhe!" She said sharply and he made her stand carefully

"How mean! Tumne ladkiyon ko psycho bola haan?! Excuse me, boys pagal hote hai! They keep on messing things! They think of girls just like a book and if the cover doesn't catch their eyes so they won't even bother to read what's inside." She retorted, still giving him a fierce look

"Oh really?" He rolled his eyes at her

"Yes!" She yelled back

"Listen, saare boys ek jaise nhi hote okay? And do you really think am like them?" Her eyes softened instantly as he asked, looking deeply in her eyes. She felt like melting into them

"I hope you're not!" She whispered, smiling sheepishly. She was about to wear the heels again but this time, again Manik interrupted.

"Didn't I say that, you won't wear them, not now atleast!" Manik said. He was actually worried for her

"Fine. I won't" Her face was grumpy. She marched forward with her bare feet

"God! This girl..." Manik shook his head in disbelief. He hurriedly scooped her in his arms yet again and this time, Nandini smiled to her fullest

Here, Neel was checking the CCTV tape of the Kashyap mansion. It was the video of outside the gate.

It already late, just when he was about to close it, the screen showed the video in which Vishni was kissing Jai. He paused it instantly

"What the hell..?" He mumbled as he was stunned! Vishni was already in a relationship with Mr Anirudh Kashyap and kissing someone else was so wrong!

He perhaps started having a doubt on Vishni and Jai. He knew what he had to do! Now, he just wanted to show the video to Nandini..

Manik & Nandini reached the house. He made her stand infrnt of the door

"Thank you" She said and he sighed

"Yeah, but I must say. You're very heavy Ms Kashyap." He sighed, and alas he made her angry once again

"Listen Mr Malhotra, it wasn't me who'd asked you to carry me okay! You didn't let me wear my heels and--"

"God, not again! Is it necessary to argue every time? Can't we talk properly for a moment Nandini?" She shut her mouth abruptly and crossed her arms around her chest

There was a complete silent for a moment but soon, they heard cracking sounds. They looked up and it was the fireworks which were being blasted in the sky. Manik checked the time on his watch and It was midnight exactly! A New Year!

New Year 2017!

"Happy New Year, Nandini" He whispered, looking at her smiling face

"Happy New Year, Manik" She said and hugged him tightly. Manik was startled with a sudden hug but this time, he felt something unreal, something which he never felt before. His hands unknowingly made its way to her waist, pulling her closer. His arms wrapped around her. He reciprocated the hug equally

This new year was really special for Nandini. She got her happiness and wished that her happiness would last till forever. Nandini wished that She & He, be together till forever..
