The Magic Wielders do their best to push the Science Wielder forces back but they suffered many losses. "Miss Florina," Arch Mage Devereaux communicates through the makeshift radio link Edward made for them, "I'm pulling my forces back to the main city. There's just too many of them." He pushes his arms out and the nearest Science Wielders turn on each other.

More and more of the same reports came back and Alexis lowered her head. "We need to initiate the Barrier," Lambda said and she gave a nod. The purple mist circled Lambda who gave a nod then floated out the balcony. A woman appeared from it and look back to the city, spreading out her arms and the Mist creates a shield around it.

Edward's fist sparks with electricity and he goes to punch Chairman Sangthonglang. "Chairman," his earpiece calls as he dodges Edward's punches, "they appear to be shielding the city. We cannot proceed."

"Stay on course," Edward lands a successful punch and Chailux reels back, wiping blood from his mouth, "continue the attack as planned." Chailux sends Edward stumbling back with a pinch of his own then freezes him in place. "You can't stop still," he starts tinkering with the exo-suit, "let's play this out. If you do stop this then what? An age of peace between us and them," he laughs and nozzles extend from under his wrist, "how long will that peace hold? Only one can remain!"

"And destroying everything will be the solution," Edward yells back as Chailux draws closer to him, "I know what Demon is. It's not a weapon against the Magic Wielders. It's a weapon against everything!"

"The current people are imperfect," Chailux argues, twitching as he gets closer, "from the ashes I shall rebuild a perfect civilisation."

"Perfection is impossible," Edward yells as he continues to struggle to break free of the ice, "what will you do if your new civilisation is deemed imperfect? Will you just destroy and start over?"

"Enough," Chailux punches Edward, freeing him from the ice and sending him flying into the wall, "this is my world. I can do as I see fit!" Blue flames spew from the nozzles under his wrists, "I will end you. Then," he raises his arms to Edward's face, "I'll go after your girlfriend."

Edward looks to his side to see a console on the wall. Blue flames spew out of Chailux's wrists and Edward dodges, going for the console. The floor opens up beneath Chailux and he falls to the surface far below. The floor closes and Edward slumps to the ground out of breath. "Alexis do you read," he radio's, only to get static, "I'm heading for the engine room. Just give me some extra time."

The barrier around Aura continued to be barraged by gun fire and the misty woman was having trouble keeping it up. "I can't reach Edward or Devereaux," Lambda reports to Alexis who was standing on the balcony, "Misty can't hold out much longer."
