Chapter Three | Lust
Lust was considered a deadly sin for a reason. It was an all consuming frenzy that drove your body and controlled your mind. Rafael knew all about lust, he had had his fair share of women over the years. The sexual drive had plagued many of his younger years as he went from women to women. However that wasn't the type of lust he was currently feeling.
It was something more powerful.
Blood lust.
Rafael was playing his usual games and returned to the scene of the crime. The storm has moved on and all that was let was the damp and earthy smell. It would not be much help as most of the scents have been washed away, but where was the fun in playing detective if he didn't return to the original scene of the crime.
And he was not talking about his scene of crime from earlier that hadn't even been discovered yet.
Humans are so slow.
He used the torch of his phone to scan the surrounding to see if there was anything amiss. Maybe a dead body or two to show that this was just an ordinary human trafficking transaction. Maybe a bunch of drugs. Just anything. The most likely possibility is that she had been taken from another crate and pushed into this one. It still didn't make sense that she would need more than two or three men to transport her. She has a whole crowd trying to transport her earlier.
Rafael frowned, he needed to see if he could locate the original place she was kept. He strolled around the docks listening for the sound of breathing and the scent body odour from any of the crates. He found a few, and smashed the locks to see if they held the same mark as her but no luck. He would leave the doors open and continue wandering around the docks until he got bored again.
By bored, he meant his wolf was on edge for something else.
He knew exactly where to go to send a good threat.
One of the most valuable assets a person could have was information and his phone vibrated just in time to let him know what he needed to know. Some important french mafia men were currently visiting one of his clubs. It was time to take a little trip there too to see if he could get any information about her. He had also left no survivors tonight so he needed to make sure they knew who ruined the little secret deal they had going on his continent. Like he wouldn't find out.
Rafael didn't want respect.
He wanted to feared.
And there is nothing like a massacre with his name painted all over to scare a few little humans.
Rafael easily entered one of his more seedy popular clubs. The establishment was popular for its classy look and corrupt deals that went behind the doors with many of the waitress and waiters. Whatever fancied the customers taste. The customers always tipped lavishly, and his employees were always satisfied with their job. Employees would also receive the most generous bonuses for any little rumours that they heard. No one knew he directly owned the club as he had a puppet in place to play the face of the owner. This little club was like many he had scattered all over the continent. A little goldmine full of information. He never quite understood why his allies and rivals would frequently use them when their own businesses were probably safer. Again, humans can be so stupid.
Rafael went straight up the stairs, the dim light hiding away his face. All the french men had been gathered into a joint room under the disguise of winning a prize by a pretty little waitress under his instructions. This wasn't the first time he had used this trap, and it would definitely not be the last with the effective nature. He opened the door silently to find one young man handcuffed to a chair, whilst one of the waitress was tightening the blindfold. He was probably preparing himself mentally for the best blowjob ever, but that was cancelled. The room smelt heavily of desire, as Rafael wrinkled his nose. That needed to change. The waitress left the room, pausing by Rafael. She ran her hands through his curls and gave him a quick peck.
And then there were two.
Two men, both lusting.
Only one would be satisfied.
Rafael waited. He knew how to play this game and just as he thought, his victim fell right into place. The simple game of cat and mouse would never change. His prey was far too predictable and that was going to be the biggest downfall of these men today.
"Hello? Anyone there?"
Rafael didn't reply. He wanted the man to realise just how trapped he was. No gun, no friends in a sound proof room where his friends could only hear a muffled noise from the door and they would just assume he was being pleasured. He waited until he smelt the decay of lust, slowly turning to fear.
"Untie me you slut! I wanted to get out of here." He tugged at the handcuffs trying his hardest to get out of this trap. Rafael smiled and ripped the blindfold. The man swore, and struggled some more. He even tried to call out to his little friends, but he was at the end of the line. Rafael smirked and started to partially shift. Blinded by lust, the man was too stupid to notice the danger and well it wasn't Rafael's problem.
"I'll see you in Hell, if I ever get there," he whispers as his claw dug into his chest, drawing a little x, before he plunged his hand into the chest, removing his heart easily. He didn't bother interrogating him. He was sure having the heart of a drinking buddy in his hand would make the other talk a little more freely. One down, three to go. It was time to play.
A little knock on the door and the next one was sent into slaughter. Foolish men never asked about their friend and believed the words of stranger.
Within a split second, Rafael had the man's throat in one hand and the heart of the other in the other hand. The man struggled but Rafael just tightened his grip on his throat, leaving him gasping for breath.
"See this heart? Belongs to your little friend over there." The man only noticed his dead friend slumped against the chair. The blood was still warm and seeping out the hole in his chest. The man's eyes widen in fear. He struggled some more, the smell of blood pushing Rafael to tighten his grip.
"So now do you want to tell me what I need to know or do you want to end up like your friend over there."
He nodded as well as he could with a limited air supply. The room was full of the smell of his fear. So weak.
"Tell me all about the deal at the docks tonight. The one with the Germans." Rafael loosened his grip on his neck, to allow him to talk.
"Wh-What deal?" The man wheezed, still struggling for air. He was lying, his heartbeat staggered unevenly.
Rafael squeezed both hands, the blood from the heart coating them both. The man flinched and struggled once again for air. Rafael grinned at the sight of the weak prey.
"One more try."
"I-I don't know," he chocked under Rafael's grip that only seemed to tighten until there was a crunch of his oesophagus. Rafael dropped the body and flung the heart over his shoulder. He was going to have to multitask.
Rafael didn't knock this time, he opened the door ever so slightly, "Send then both in."
In response to his command, he heard her unclasping her bra. Nothing like a little honey to attract the pests. He waited on the other side of the joint door.
As the door opened, he heard her in a seductive tone, "Don't take your eyes off me just yet, or I'll have to punish you."
"Oh I don't plan on ever taking my eyes off those," one of the men muttered, as they both continued walking back.
Lust, what a powerful tool.
He shut the door once they were fully inside the room, snapping them out of their lustful trance. They took in the blood and death around them but could not react as fast as Rafael.
Rafael grabbed one of them by the arm and spun them around before crushing him against the wall. A pain shot through the man's shoulder. He probably dislocated it, but it's not like he cared. It would just help speed up the process.
The other man tried to attack, but he didn't know of the animal that laid just beneath the skin. In one precise movement, he was dangled in the air by his throat.
"So boys, your friends wanted to die but I'm sure you both want to live... it's really simple, talk or die."
Rafael stayed quiet, letting his words sink in. The guy kept clawing at his hand and it was starting to get annoying. He tightened his grip a little more, his claws coming out to play.
"T-talk," the man begged the other, who could not see Rafael's shift.
"Good answer, but I'm afraid to let go of you after how your friends over their lied to me." Rafael gestured to the dead body with his chin.
"T-talk," he begged again. His friend was in his own internal battle, but hopefully he would choose the right path.
"So what was the deal down at the docks with the German's about?" He places more pressure on the man's shoulder causing him to scream.
"Sorry, I don't quite understand what you're saying."
"Please- I'll tell you," he begged for mercy. It was funny how a little pain could make any man loosen his tongue just a little bit.
"I'm waiting." Rafael hoped he spoke soon. His wolf was begging to kill them both off and return home. The urge was a constant itch that he couldn't really scratch. It seems his wolf was satisfied by all the blood shed that occurred, but Rafael wasn't done yet.
"We were the middle man. The Japanese had an important gift for the Germans. They want their alliance-"
"That's enough, I know the rest of the story. Just need a little confirmation."
"Wait, there is more-"
"Oh I know, it was pleasure doing business with you both." With that Rafael snapped both their necks. He took a business card of sort and left it in the pockets of one of the bodies. That should be warning enough for the French to tread carefully.
Outside the door was the manager of the club, waiting with damp towels for Rafael to clean his hands. Rafael took one of the towel.
"Someone will collect the bodies and return them to the French. Make sure there presence here was not recorded." Rafael dropped the towel on the floor.
"Oh, and be sure you generously tip the waitress tonight. We wouldn't like anything getting out." With those parting words he left and returned home to scratch another itch.

The only itch you shouldn't scratch is a mosquito bite.
