Luka's boss frowns at the letter. He cannot believe Luka would dare to question his authority. Does not he know how much power he possesses? He slides it into the drawer.     

  "Miss Tsurugi, Please send Luka Cuffaine up to my office."

  "Yes, sir."

The boss smiles as Luka comes before him.

   "What is the meaning of this?" His boss spits out as he shows him the offending letter.

   "Sir, I refuse to go undercover with Chelsea, or any other woman, again."

    "Luka, you are one of my best agents. I need you to do as I say."

      "Boss, my fiance does not like it."

      "I could care less what she thinks. She is a hindrance to your job. Get rid of her."

      Luka shook his head. He could not believe what his boss was saying. It was like the man grew horns overnight or something.

     "I can not dump her without an explanation. I love her."

    "Love, ha. It is nothing but a fantasy."

     "Boss, I do not know who rubbed you the wrong way, but it is not my fiance's  fault."

      "Cuffaine, you are to do the assignments as given. Fiance or not, you report to me and do as I say. Is that clear?"   

     "Crystal clear, boss,"  Luka says.

          His boss nods his head and sends him out.  

        Chelsea is sad because her fiance dumped her. Her boss is an unreasonable, selfish pig. She goes home unsure rather she should quit or not. It is not as if she has any other positions lined up.

     Marinette sees Luka come home early. She can tell he is stressed.

  Luka frowns. "My boss refuses to listen to reason. He wants me to do the assignments as given and does not care if I am engaged. He tried to tell me to break it off."

  Marinette stands with her hands on her hips now.  "He did what?"

  Luka sobs.  "He tried to have me break off our engagement. I refused but could tell he was angry."

   "What do I do now, Marinette?"

  "I think it is time you found a new job."

Luka shook his head. It was not that easy. Was it?
