Saying this manik stopped in the middle and saw nandini intensely.

He held her shoulders and he took a deep breath as if he held it for long thinking about what could happen if nandini too comes with him.

" See nandini. I'm a Vampire.
I have psychic powers like am being able to see spirits , read minds.
Have the ability to tear any animal apart if I'm in danger too.
And being a daylighter I especially have this Mark of Cain. "

(***Mark of Cain ~ In this story this mark plays a very crucial role. As the one who has this mark can't be harmed physically.
While applying this mark with a hot iron , it's pain can only be beared by only daylighters because of physical strength they have , normal Vampire can't have this mark as it can lead death for them.

Nandini crossed her arms on her chest and gave him a look of
" hogya ya aur kuch baaki hai ?"

And manik understood her as he looked at her surprise.

Manik cupped her cheeks.

" Nandini , i can't even bear the thought of losing you again. Why aren't you understanding it ? Do you even know what i went through seeing your lifeless body on these hands.

His tone held a Stern way and at the same time mixed with the sadness too as he forwarded his hands towards her showing how shaking it was with even the thought of that deep dark night.

With shaking hands he reached to hold her arms now.

Nandini don't be stubborn this time. Plse. "
He pleaded with his one hand rubbing her cheek with his thumb.
Nandini felt that how because of her stubbornness she made him go through these years which she really can't figure out.
She knew how broken he was & even now too he feels all this to be a dream from which he never wanna wake up.
Holding his palm which was resting on her cheek.

" Manik what if that's what she exactly wants ? "
Nandini tried to make him understand the another side of the thing which both manik and alya were not seeing.

Manik cringed his eyebrows in confusion.

" What do u mean nandu ? "

" Manik , i mean that what if that Vamp exactly wants you to leave me behind and you only going after her. So that she could harm me easily. "

Hearing this manik and alya looked surprised that nandini was right too.

He pointed towards the jungle from the window.

" She started it manik. Lets end all this together. And she wants us to be trapped in her plan knitted by her , then let's change it this time.

" Not even for a second I'm gonna leave you the minute we step inside the Jungle.

don't you ever turn back whenever you hear any weird sound. Infact any sound.

He warned her as his tone held seriousness as nandini nodded and blinked her eyes showing him that she won't do any thing which he said not to do.

Manik smiled in relief and smiled looking at her.

Then nandini and alya packed a little bag with some essentials like food , small water bottles , one set of both manan dress (if in case 🤭) , Matchsticks / lighter , and some oil with other things too.

Manik looked at it both the girls.

" Are we planning a trip to somewhere interesting ? It's something very serious and you both are packing as if we going to spend time or something. "
He rolled his eyes in little irritation.

" Manik these are something you will need it , and it may even take days too , so nandu and me are just being ready to be with the things we should be.

He rolled his eyes at her answer as Alya took a pause and continued.

But manik ! When did i say or meant that you both are going for a trip or "SOMETHING" ? Huhhhh ? "
She winked at nandu who literally turned her head to other side in shyness.

He too looked here and there and literally ran from there.

Alya laughed seeing how manik covered up finely.

After some time manan stood at the backside of the malhotra mansion.
As it was eveningg now so the look of that dangerous yet spine chilling forest was not at all helping nandini.

Nandini just gripped manik's hand tightly.

Manik left her hand and held her shoulder tightly taking her in a side warm hug & kissed on her forehead from sideways making sure to her that he ain't leaving h side , anytime soon.

" Safe trip Manik and nandini "
alia held both her cheeks and looked at manik to take care of nandu.

" So where's my brave nandu ? Who was giving speeches to catch that Veronica. "
Manik tried to lighten the air which was filled with Tension and worry.

And it did , nandu looked at her manik and pouted.

She frowned.

" Aree why would I ? " Manik hided his smile.

Saying this Nandini and manik started there search for Veronica.

Both bid bye to alia and entered the dangerous forest for the search of Veronica.

After walking for some time , nandini chuckled thinking something.
Manik turned and smiled looking at her.

" What happened nandini? "

"Hehe , manik."

"Aree bolo toh kya baat hai ?"

They both kept walking besides each other.

" I have seen in twilight that edward carries bella on her back in a split second he goes

She made sounds while moving hands in air that how vampire uses their speedy travel from one place to another place.

He pointed his finger at her and chuckled

While thinking this nandini saw a bush moving and she frowned looking at it.
She stopped in her tracks.
Manik looked at her and saw her looking at the moving bush and it suddenly stopped moving.

Nandini started taking steps towards it.

"Nandini , No... Stop. 😟"

And nandini just tried to clear that dried humus filled bush which made sounds of crushing of dried leaves on it and when she's opened Manan both were shocked to see the scenario.
