"Riss! Please get down here, we need to be leaving for the airport soon. You know, to get Bella. Child please don't make me come up there." Charlie finished his words with a sigh, knowing I wouldn't change my mind about not going with him.
Since i was adopted, Bella has always seen our relationship as a competition. Always worried about who got the most gifts, biggest birthday party, and just attention in general. It makes me sick. When i got placed in Charlie and Renee's home, i had a feeling I'd be left out considering they already had a child, Bella. When we first met, Bella (6) to my (7), she immediately asked if the service woman could take me back. Much to both Bellas and Renees dislike, i stayed and have continued to stay in the Swan house. *anyway back to the regularly scheduled programs*
"Char-dad, sorry. You should know I'm not going. We've been through this since i was 10, she HATES me so what's the point of trying anymore." I yell from the comfort of my warm bed. I snuggle back in the blankets after hearing the heavy steps and finally the front door shutting behind him.
God i hate being woken up, it's like 8am, and on a Saturday, seriously man. Anyway, might as well get up and get dressed for today. I lift the weight of my 4 blankets off my bed. Yes, i said 4, it's cold and I'm anemic, plus the weight feels like a hug i needed as a child, thank you. I go through my bedroom, grabbing all the cups and half used water bottles to take down stairs to the trash and sink. Once I wash all the dishes, I grab a little can of cat food an head back up stairs to wake up dinky.
Dinky is my 2 month old kitten that I found in the middle of the highway. I decided on the name dinky because he had a kink in his tail, and since naming a cat kinky is a little weird, I chose dinky. He's my hinky dinky cat, and he's so handsome and soft. Entering my room once again, im met with the meow of my little furry friend.
"Well good morning dinks, i hope dad didn't wake you up" i say to the kitten softly, rubbing in between his ear lovingly. Getting a meow in response i open his can and give him his food. He had water from the night before still so he was fine until later today. After dinks has been taken care of, i then move to my leo, Loki. *For those not knowing what a Leo is, it's a leopard gecko.* i turn on his heat light and give him so fresh water, as well as a mist to keep his humidity up.
"God, why did I need to get two needy animals. But at least they're cute and lovable. Now that you boys are taken care of, I can shower." I say, looking over at myself in my wall mirror, lifting my shirt and smelling it lightly. Nope, I smell terrible. I blame Paul and Sam for making me stay out so late. If it wasn't for them not letting me get home until 2am, i would have showered last night, but no here we are all stinky
With that said, i head to my bathroom and turn the water as hot as it can go. Grabbing my phone i scroll through all the notifications I had received, yet ignored.

Oh shit, Renee is gonna kill me, and I could've had 40$ damn phill, call next time. I scroll through all the messages, replying to the group chat with the boys telling them that I'm fine and that dad didn't talk me into going with him. They both laugh and proceed to send all the photos of our little party last night. Half-ass clicking on the snaps so the notifications would go away, I quickly exit the app and go into Spotify. I turn on the playlist I made *showstopper🧼* and jump into the now steaming shower. For most of my showers, i just stand in the water for about 10 minutes and zone out from the heat and fog, but after that i stand and proceed wash my curls and begin to scrub the life out of my scalp. Once it's all clean and washed out, I put in conditioner, untangle my hair with a comb and put it in a claw clip to sit while I wash and shave my body. After making sure I look and feel like a hairless cat, I rinse my hair and let the water run down my body.
*forty five minutes later*
"Bella I swear to all things good in this world if you complain about the homecoming present, im taking it." I whisper yell at my sister as she just stares at the slightly rusted orange truck. Jake and Billy Black have been working on the vehicle that way Bella didn't have to rely on me or dad when it came to getting places. But as the princess lives, she's furious that I have a nicer car than her. "But it's a literal rust bucket. Charlie please tell me this is a joke, seriously this has to be." She whined, in front of everyone. I continued to roll my eyes at the fact that Jacob was not only staring but drooling over her, but siding with her about her opinion.  Jacob has always been a pushover when it came to people, but if he could be the rug that Bella wiped her feet on, he would apply for that job in milliseconds. It's disturbing really.
"Bells come on. Billy gave me this truck at a good price, sure she's a fixer upper, but we can get her a new paint job, wheels, an even new seats and stereo system. Just at least give it a try. For your old man's sake" dad slightly begs, not wanting to further upset his youngest daughter.
With a heavy sigh "fine, only for a week" she grumbles before storming into house to find her room the same as before, a deep plum color, and many many books on the shelves.
"Well Chief, how about we get Ms. Liss over here to start up this fish fry for us. If that's alright with you Liss?" Billy mutter the question at the end hoping I'd say yes to his request. "Sorry sir but today I start my internship at the hospital, with the new doctor. Ill be able to start working towards my nursing degree, and hopefully within the next 2 or 3 years I'll be able to put both of you in a home" i chuckle at the gasp both older men released at my words. Did they really think I'd do that to them? Maybe Renee but never my dads.
"Oh my god you should see yalls faces" I burst out laughing. It was the best thing to watch their faces go from happy to scared in seconds. After they got the joke and knew I wouldn't do that to them, they laughed and sent me on my way to the hospital for my first shift.

im B and this is my first story back as a writer. i haven't written since I was 12-13 i believe and I have definitely grown a lot since then. please be patient with me with updates and keeping things posted.
