She slowly walked towards kitchen just to see Areum who was kissing Vernon.

Vernon pushed her away, "What the-" Vernon stopped. The bouquet in her hand fell down. Hearing the sound Vernon looked at her, his heart stopped for a moment, "Y-Y/n, it's nothing like that, please believe me. Please let me explain".

Rage could be seen in her eyes, "I can see everything going on here, Vernon. You don't need to justify", she gritted her teeth. She bent down and took the bouquet to keep it aside. "Y/n, please don't misunderstand anything", Vernon tried to walk towards her but stopped seeing her sharp gaze.

Y/n walked in and stood between them, "I never thought I would do this but you made me", Y/n said and soon a sound of slap echoed throughout the house, Y/n slapped Areum. Areum held her cheek, her eyes burning in anger, "Yah, why did you slap me", she yelled.

"You think I am an idiot? You think that I don't know your tactics?", Y/n said, "Areum, I have known him enough to know that he will never cheat on me and if you were thinking that I'll break this marriage because I saw him kissing a lady then you are wrong. Totally wrong. I am not like others who jump to conclusion. I have eyes Areum, I clearly saw what just happened here", Y/n said.

She was burning out of anger but kept her calm as she knows it could affect her health, "You think coming here, in my house and kissing my fiancée was a good idea?", Y/n shouted. Areum flinched but still kept looking at her with anger filled in her eyes. For first time someone slapped her, "My parents never dared to raise their hands on me but you did", Areum murmured.

"I wish if your parents had given you such slaps whenever needed then you wouldn't have been here kissing someone's fiancée", Y/n glared at her. She wanted to slap her on other cheek too but held herself. Y/n's anger was no joke. Once she is angry then no one can stop her.

"You think he likes you? Don't forget this is a arranged marriage and not a love one. You don't even share a same room. I am sure you didn't even kiss", Y/n kept quiet. "Who said I don't like her? I like her. Any problem with it", Vernon said. Areum looked at him with an unreadable expression.

"Really? Why don't you kiss her then?", Areum challenged. Y/n who was already angry because of her behavior, pulled Vernon by his shirt pressing her lips on his. She tilted her head to deepen the kiss. Vernon soon kissed her back.

Y/n kept her hands on his cheeks while his hands went to her waist pulling her closer. Both loved this feeling. Y/n felt butterflies in her stomach, for first ever time while Vernon didn't want to let her go. He loved the feeling of having her lips on his. For a moment they forgot a human standing there, her eyes burning in jealousy.

They broke the kiss. Y/n's eyes were still closed. Even if they kissed for a short time, for them it was something they would never forget, their first kiss. Y/n took a moment to catch her breath.

The kiss only fuelled Areum's anger. Y/n looked back at Areum.

"Will you get out or should I do that too?", Y/n said. "I won't go. I like him and-", Before Areum could complete her sentence, Y/n dragged her along with her. "Bye and see you never", saying this she closed the door on Areum's face. "Open the door", Areum aggressively knocked.

Y/n opened the door, "Here are your things. Now never see you again. This is the last time I am warning you Areum. Don't test my patience", Y/n kept her things on side and closed the door again. Areum again knocked aggressively but soon stopped seeing few people judging her.

"Y/n", Vernon stopped her. "Look at me", he held her cheeks and slightly caressed them, "I am sorry. I was preparing a suprise but she came here. I didn't knew she would do something like this. Please trust me it was nothing like that".

Before Y/n's arrival:

Vernon was in kitchen seeing cooking videos so could cook dinner for her. The bell rang. He washed his hands and opened the door. "Hi", Areum said. "What are you doing her?", Vernon said with a unwelcome face. "Oh, let me in", she pushed Vernon and entered inside closing the door.

Making herself comfortable she said, "I am here to apologize to Y/n because of what happened. Where is she?", Areum looked around. "She is not here", he said in an apathetic tone, "So you can leave", Vernon pointed at the door. "That's not how you are supposed to treat guests, Vernon. I got to know you are getting married", Areum said, "Just give me to drink something. Juice would be good", she said.

Vernon sighed and went to kitchen taking out the bottle of juice. "What are you doing anyways?", she asked coming to the kitchen. "Here is your glass of juice. Be happy that i didn't give an expired one", he whispered the last part. She drank the whole glass at once. Vernon heard the door opening, "Y/n must be here".

Before he could move, Areum pulled him and kissed him.

Present:

"That's what happened Y/n. Before my body could react. You were already there", Vernon said in a desperate tone.

"I know Vernon but just give me some time Vernon. My mind hasn't cooled down yet. I might do or say something which you might don't like later just like I did before", Y/n mumbled. "The thing you did before, I didn't like it instead I loved it", he said, "Did you regret it?". Y/n slowly shook her head.

It wasn't new for Y/n, she knew Vernon is a straight forward person. If he doesn't like something he wouldn't even care to act that he liked it. He never hesitated to tell what he feels. Hearing that him saying he loved the kiss made Y/n blush. "I am going to my room. I need some time alone", she said and went to her room.

"My surprise was ruined", Vernon murmured and went to his room too. Seeing himself in mirror his went to his lips. He still felt that feeling of her lips on his. He loved it too much.

Y/n went to her room and fell on her bed, "Oh My gosh! Why did I do that?", she rolled on her bed covering herself with blanket, "I couldn't even see his suprise, aish",she forgot about the suprise because of the situation Areum created. Then she remembered something She ran down to kitchen, there was the bouquet, "Huff, this isn't ruined", she hugged the bouquet.

She stood in front of his room. "Vernon", she called him. He opened the door, "Umm, here I brought this small bouquet for you. I forgot to give it", she smiled, "Also about your suprise, are you giving it or cancelling it?", She asked with hopeful eyes. "Just freshen up and wear something nice. We are going out for dinner", Vernon smiled.

Y/n rushed to her room and called Harin, "Please help me with a dress, choose any one", she said showing her choice. "The one in your right hand", Harin said and hanged up the call.

Soon Y/n got ready and went down to see Vernon already waiting for her, "Actually I wanted to cook food for you but...". Y/n smiled and said, "It is fine with me. I'll treat it as a dinner date". Vernon took her hand in his, "It is actually a dinner date".

After dinner,

While going back home Vernon stopped his car in front of an ice-cream parlour. "Let's go and have some ice cream". Y/n grinned.

"One Vanilla and one butter scotch", Vernon gave the order. Soon they got their ice creams. "Let's go and sit there", Vernon said. It was not much cold compared to other days. "So Mr. Chwe Vernon how are you feeling about getting married soon. You will no more be bachelor but a married man", Y/n asked using the ice cream cone as mic.

"Umm, I honestly don't know?", Vernon said with a visible question mark on his face. "I am happy. If someone would have told me that I am getting married to you, a person whom I always saw as a competitor. I would have laughed on their faces", Y/n said.

"Hmm, you remember the prank someone did", Vernon said, "The dating one?". Y/n's eyes widen, "I would never forget one. I literally had to explain everyone that we weren't dating but imagine how those reactions would be after knowing we are getting married".

Next day,

"Have you taken everything you needed?", Vernon asked. Y/n nodded for nth time, "I'll be back in 13 days". Vernon sighed, "That's not the thing. I don't know for how long I can survive without meeting you". Y/n laughed seeing how dramatically he said that.

"I am back", Y/n shouted as soon as she entered her house. Seungcheol and her father were watching movie, their eyes diverted to Y/n, "Yeah, welcome back. Vernon-ah join us, it is a good movie", they said and continued watching movie while eating pop corn.

"Mrs. Kim, I missed you. You are back. How is your son?", she asked as soon as she saw Mrs. Kim who had a welcoming smile on her face. "I am fine and he is too. You know right it is new place for him", she said. Her eyes went to Vernon, "Oh! You haven't met her right? She is Mrs. Kim. She has been working here since I was small", Y/n introduced.

"Go and sit with them. I'll take my luggage in my room", Y/n said but Vernon didn't agree. "I am happy they kept my room clean", Y/n murmured after entering the room, "Keep this here. I'll do the rest", Y/n said. "Hmm", Vernon hummed and kept the bags. He pecked her cheek. Y/n froze, "Keep this habit wifey", Vernon whispered and went out.
