Chapter 44

I hope I did the right thing. I knew that they wanted to stay, but it would be selfish of me. I would be holding them back from what they potentially could be. So I had to tell them to go.

It was a few days after that, New Years Eve to be exact. The moms were going back the next day. I honestly didn't like my decision, but I knew it was the right choice. Their future is what I want to support, not just the present.

When I explained why I wanted them to go, they smiled sadly. They understood that this really was the best thing.

"Look on the bright side," I reminded them, "we can prove Dia and the others wrong by still keeping in contact."

They nodded when I said that, "We also still have five months." Riko smiled.

Only five months...

I had five months to tell them something that I've hidden for a few weeks now. So um, this is a little embarrassing of me to say but... I've fallen for them.

All of them.

Now this may seem a little complicated. See, I can't date all nine of them. But what I can do is find out if one of them likes me and then date that one.

There's one problem, what happens if more than one of them like me? Is it going to be a fight to the death, winner gets me?

There's also the chance that none of them like me.

But everyone loves me, right?

So yeah there's that... anyways I was planning on spending my New Year's Eve with my parents. Unfortunately the nine had other ideas. We were going to get on a train, go to the main city and wait by the giant Christmas tree for the countdown.

You'll probably tell me, "Go confess there."

HELL NO.

Are you freaking joking me?! That is the worst idea I've heard in my life. I can think of about five things that can go wrong.

1. They reject me.

2. They also confess making it awkward.

3. Some other person thinks I'm confessing to them.

4. They don't hear me.

5. I think four's enough.

These thoughts still stuck with me as I took off. They were already waiting for me as I arrived there.

"You're late." Dia shook her head, "As usual." she smiled.

"Not my fault, you guys did tell me at like ten last night." I shrugged.

"You go to bed before ten on break?" Riko said surprised.

"I mentally shut off at ten, it used to be at midnight, but I'm so tired because of you guys." I said trying to make them sorry for me.

"Yeah whatever, you act like you're not a pain to us." Hanamaru grinned.

"Well if I'm a pain guess I'll just go home-" Chika grabbed my arm,

"Not a single chance..." she laughed dragging me to the train station.

We bought the tickets and took off. Sitting down as the train started moving. The snow glistened in the evening sun. It was five o'clock, however the nights are quicker and the sun was close to setting. Maybe about an hour of left of light.

After the forty-five minute train ride we then walked towards the center of the city. Where a giant Christmas statue stood. The nine decided to set up camp in front of the Christmas tree. I was in charge of grabbing hot chocolate, which I also had to pay for.

Who the hell charges five bucks for a hot chocolate?!

So after my wallet finished crying, we all just sat there. Everyone excited for the New Year that was only about two hours away.

I was expecting at least one of the nine to have something else planned. But the nine of them just were looking at each other, nodding every few seconds. Something told me that something cliché was about to happen.

They started looking frantically at each other, as if confirming they were going to do something, as the clock started counting down.

Time seemed to freeze as the numbers slowly counted down.

"We love you."

"Eh?"

"We said, we love you." they repeated.

Now you're probably telling yourself, this is the perfect time for you to say, "I love you," back to them. Even if this isn't in a romantic way, but in a friend kind of way.

NO! THAT'D BE WAYYYYY TO CLICHE, YOU MIGHT AS WELL CALL THIS A COMEDY SLICE OF LIFE ROMANCE ANIME AT THIS POINT!

"I love you guys too."

BUT I STILL SAID IT WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME?!?!?!

It wasn't an awkward moment. They just grinned, and I crap you not, they were blushing. But you could also say that their cheeks were red from the thirty degree weather we were in.

However I like to think that they were blushing...

The train ride home was silent, each seemed lost in their own thoughts.

Chika's POV

Yep I've just confirmed it with my brain, I like Shizuko...

You's POV

See this isn't something I'm proud to admit, but I like him... for awhile actually.

Riko's POV

This is about to be a battle field after he said what he just said. He doesn't realize that he started world war three. But team Riko is gonna win.

Yoshiko's POV

These little demons better back off... the devil will help me win him.

Ruby's POV

I hope people won't get angry at each other and fight. But if it happens then I'm ready!

Hanamaru's POV

This is gonna be a tiring five months zuraaaaaa... I'm not looking forward to it, but I will win.

Dia's POV

He's grown on all of us, so that means we all have a chance. Yes I like him, it's pretty obvious we'd all fall for him. This is basically an anime.

Mari's POV

Dia thinks everyone has a chance, what she doesn't know is that I'm gonna win, she thinks when everyone has a chance that means she'll win... I'm gonna win, and I'll do anything I can to win.

Kanan's POV

Are weapons aloud? Or is this just gonna be a challenge to see who can flirt with him the most? Either way I'll still win. This is love we're talking about, I'll do anything to win.

Shizuko's POV

What's for breakfast tomorrow?

Third Person's POV

What Shizuko doesn't know is that this will be an all out brawl, and the nine have a few tricks up their sleeves not only to impress him, but to destroy the hopes of the others...

Good morninggggggg I love you all... hope you all liked it! Please read this...

So today I wanted to just share things to help during this pandemic. Many people are suffering with their mental health during this COVID-19 lockdown. So here's a few things to help you all.

1. Go outside

Even though it's cold and it's December try to get sunlight. Even walk around your house a little bit will be good. If you can't go outside, open your windows and get sunshine.

2. Exercise

Walking is considered exercise, but there are other people, such as myself, who are missing sports right now. So we try to motivate ourselves for a possible season by working out.

3. Talking to Friends

In this pandemic we need to depend on people. We need people to always be with us and caring for us. You may think nobody loves you right now, but trust me people do. And one of them for example is me.

4. Distract Yourself

Binge a show, watch an anime together with someone. If people are interested we could all get on a google meet and watch an anime or show together. Play a video game, play an instrument. Does anyone wanna play Genshin Impact with me?

5. Rest

I know a lot of people claim that sleep is useless... YOU'RE WRONG! Please get rest, sleeping is one of the best ways to relax. And time will fly by when you're asleep so please.

Your mental health is important to me, people around you, and most importantly you.

And if you know of people who have a hard time in this pandemic, tell them you love them and are always available to talk to. And you can always talk to me, just give me a pm or comment and I'll talk with you!

I try to update this book to distract yourself from the world around us, so I hope you're enjoying the story and keep reading!

I love you all! Have a good day! I love you <3!

Be safe! Mask up! Don't be stupid!

-Kazuya
