Chapter Eight- Caught

A/N- we're reaching the big turning point of part one so far guys! I'm so excited for all my ideas! (I just have to type them in😓) Now, READ! Oh and.....1.03K READS!? WHAT!? HUH!? I'M SO HAPPY!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Previously Juvia heard footsteps outside of her cell. A quick conversation between her captor and someone mysterious commences, and Miss. Mysterious enters the room. This is right when Juvia thinks she's about to die. Also Levy has had a strange memory, one that has many secrets, and hopefully will help! What. Will. Happen?

~ Juvia's Pov~
The darkness is welcoming. My pain begins to fade. But instead of whatever it is I'm expecting, I see a flash. Multiple, underneath my eyelids. I start to breath again. It still is hard to move. Slowly my eyes flicker open. In front of me is a girl who looks about a year older sitting in front of me. She has hazel brown eyes, and straight, brown hair that reaches to the small of her back. Her eyes remind me of someone...

"Are you all right?" She whispers, looking around nervously. Instead if answering her, I try to push myself away, but I quickly hit a wall and crumple, the pain returning.

"Stop, stop! You're going to make your wounds worse!" She hisses at me. Then she mutters something under her breath and raises her hands to my right shoulder, the current center of agony. The tips of her fingers glow silver, and the pain slowly disappears. It doesn't fade completely though.

"D-do my leg!" I whisper. She repeats the process and my leg's pain lessens as well.

"Who are you?" I ask as soon as I feel well enough to talk.

"My name is Hazel M..." She trails off.

"What?" I ask.

"Um, I can't remember. I'm sorry! I can't remember anything about my family or my life before I met Clarindessa! The only thing about my last name I remember is that it starts with an M!" She panics.

"Woah take it easy, I'm not trying to interrogate you," I reach over and touch her arm.

"Sorry," she says again.

"So what kind of magic do you use?" I ask her.

"Silver dragon slayer....I think. I'm pretty sure I'm a lacrima infused dragon slayer but..."

"You can't remember? That's okay. It's really cool you can heal, I've only met two other mages who can use healing magic. Wendy Marvel and Chelia Blendy," I inform her.

"Those two are the two slayers right? Sky god and Sky dragon?" I nod in affirmation.

"Yup, how did you know?"

"Well I saw the Grand Magic Games," she says, then she frowns, "what's it like being in a guild?"

I start at this question. To be in a guild? What should I tell her? I can't tell her that you never know if you'll be shot through the heart by one if you aren't careful.

"Well being in a guild is supposed to be wonderful. Everyone supports each other and no one turns on another. It's like being in a big family. Some people fight amongst themselves, but that doesn't mean we don't care for each other. That is how guildmates should treat each other," I say, this is what I thought a true guild was.

"You keep on saying supposed and should. Does that mean your guild doesn't?" Hazel asks me.

"Well, they aren't my guild anymore. But they did, all of them, except"

"For what? What happened to make you leave?"

"A young man named Gray Fullbuster broke my heart. I though he would eventually see what I do for him every day, that he would at least care enough to reject me with honesty, but instead he yelled at me and betrayed me,"

"And so you left?"

"And so I left. I was a burden to them anyways," her eyes widen as I finish recalling my story.

"You don't really think that do you? That they didn't care about you?" She demands.

"Lucy was always prettier," I state.

"Who cares if she was smarter prettier or anything more than you! That doesn't mean you aren't missed and weren't cared about!"

"Shh! I near something!" I whisper suddenly. I thought I heard footsteps. Hazel crouches in the shadows and I act half dead. The footsteps retreat.

"Phew, if one of the guards caught us you would be in big trouble!" She says quietly, "Clarindessa would be mad!"

"What would she do?" I have to ask.

"Well she'd probably start with your eyes,"

"Okay nevermind!" Changing the subject...

"Can you tell me what your guild was like?" She asks me out of the blue...though it's dark so I'll say out of the black.

"Well I guess so..."

I tell her about Fairy Tail and everyone in it. How I joined and the fights I've been in. And my stupid and rash decisions I made for the love who betrayed me.

~Levy's Pov~

So if I can remember the exact wording maybe I'll remember the book summon charm!

"Aco born anwe," I mutter, and a book appears in my hands. It's green and silver, with a glossy shine. Yet it looks old almost....

"Levy, what do you mean we can help her?" Lucy persistent asks me.

"Shut up for a minute will ya? I'm concentrating!" I look at the book in my hands. It's labeled Curses, Enchantments, and Forbidden Spells: A Council Manuel.
I open it and scan through the chapters. I'm not sure what I'm looking for though.

"Aha!" Everyone looks up at me.

"What is it Levy?" Wendy asks.

"What I'm looking for, from my memory! Listen! Lost spell 31- Sleep Secret Spell. This spell is almost completely forgotten and is mysteriously evasive. It sends the caster into the dream of a spoken name. The two can then communicate. All records of the actual spell and stance have been destroyed, it is unknown. You are able to cast separate spells inside the dream. The most important note is that the caster has a 82/18 chance of going into a coma, very high," I recite from the book.

"So what does this spell have to do with us?" Erza asks me.

"I can cast it and contact Juvia! Also, I can then cast a spell that will give us the coordinates of her body's location!" Bursting with hope I exclaim this to their uncertain faces.

"But Levy, no one knows the stance!" Lucy protests.

"I do," I smirk.

"But the coma!" Wendy argues.

"We'll cross that bridge when it comes to it. C'mon you guys don't you want to find Juvia?" I ask, I can see they're slowly swaying.

"Are you sure?"

"Positive,"

"What will we do if you go into a coma?"

"Continue the mission, either leave me somewhere safe, or take me with you. But don't let my body get hurt, it might decrease my chance of getting back,"

"I don't like this Levy, but I'll support you because I know we all want to see Juvia again and you're making this choice yourself," Erza says to me.

"I'm...on Erza's side," Wendy agrees.

"I'm still not sure. This isn't a good idea. But everyone else is agreeing so okay," Lucy finally gives her assent.

"Let's not discuss this with the guys until after I cast it okay?" I ask. They nod slowly, "Alright,"

I move my right leg back until I'm just about doing the splits with one leg. Then I raise my left hand and arm straight to the ceiling, and leave my right flat to the floor. It requires intense balance, my legs are shaking from exertion after the minute of adjusting my stance and alignment to be perfect.

"For every lost and broken soul, let them breathe without restraint, their hope is gone their strength is faint, bring us visions of the times, times that will forever have joy. RAINING HOPE! SCREAMING FAITH! CASTING LIGHT!" using the spell and stance at the same time uses immense magic, I feel it draining.

~Lucy's Pov~

Levy casts the spell and her eyes change from the natural hazel-brown color to a shimmering silver. Loose papers are stirred up and start to circle her, and pencils and small, light-weighted things like that are moved off surfaces. The lights seem to dim and colors seem to fade, her eyes the brightest color in the room.
Suddenly everything settles, and Levy slumps to the floor. Erza and I rush to her side and lift her onto the bed.

"Will she be okay?" Wendy asks me.

"Uh.... probably?" Wow I'm useful.

I sit down in a chair and stare out the window. Wendy lays down on a bed other than Levy's, and Erza says she's going for a walk. All we have now is to wait.

~Third Person Pov(in Juvia's cell)~

The blue haired mage lays with her head on the shoulder of her new brown haired friend. They both sleep soundly, no fear of anything in the temporary tranquility that surrounds them. Juvia's eyes move underneath her eyelids, showing that she's dreaming. Her hands twitch, she frowns.

~Juvia's Pov~

I wander an empty white box that only goes so far each direction. This dream seems calm and harmless compared to what I've been haunted by in my sleep. On the opposite side of the "room" I can see a hazy fog. And a figure slowly making her way towards me. Wait, what?

"Levy?" I whisper, but it echos and travels clearly. Before I know she's standing right in front of me, her eyes filling with tears. Her eyes are the same as I last saw them. But when was that? Before I left the guild, or...sooner?

"Juvia I'm so happy it worked!" She exclaims, and hugs me. She feels so real, and though I know it's a dream, I don't feel as alone as I have. I melt into her hug, and start sobbing.

"I-I'm so s-sorry I left," I cry into her shoulder.

"Everyone forgives you! There's no reason to be sad, we're coming to get you!" She hugs me again, then we face each other.

"Well, what's the plan?" I ask, my spirits brightening by the second.

~ Third Person's Pov ~

The two girls discuss how Levy and the others are going to save Juvia. Neither mentions Gray at all. Finally the plan is set, and just in time.

Levy's figure starts to flicker, her eyes widen.

"Juvia, you're waking up! I have to go, and I won't be able to come back, so remember the plan!" She shouts at her friends as her voice and body leaves the empty box.

~ Hazel's Pov ~

"Juvia! Juvia wake up!" I hiss at her, the sound of footsteps coming closer. She stirs a little, but doesn't wake.

"Shît," I curse. If we're caught by Clarindessa...

"Uh oh, looks like your game is up girls!" A honeyed voice croons at us from the cell window. Clarindessa's black hair and pale face is visible in the dim light.

"No," I whisper in a hushed voice.

Juvia smiles in her sleep.

"It seems as though you got some real torturing done, too bad to know I can't trust the word of my "loyal" servant girl," she snarls. The thoughts of what she'll do to my first friend in four years swirl in my mind. Last time was terrible, and this wretched woman is furious at the Fairy Tail guild.

"Hm, maybe I'll start with digging out her eyes with my knife," she snickers, "or butcher that perfect figure,"

"No," I say, louder this time.

"Yes, you can't stop me, you don't even know who you are," she takes it that far. I feel crushed, she's right, I can't remember anything about how I got here, all I can remember before that day I awoke living here is my mother's beautiful face, calling me Hazel.

Just then Juvia sits up, startled awake by the pressure I was putting on her arm. She instantly notices Clarindessa and her eyes widen, and then the spark of hope I noticed when she opened them vanishes.

"Good, since you're both awake I can proceed with telling you my plans. Come with me," she orders.

~ Juvia's Pov ~

If I can keep us alive for another couple days, maybe they'll get here in time. But....the chances of that are so small...

We walk down a dark hallway, torches placed far enough away from each other to leave dark spaces for unwanted creatures in holes and cracks. The black haired woman in front of us is walking fast as though she would like to leave us behind to die. Unexpectedly, after only three minutes of walking, we are stopped by an out of breath guard. He whispers something in her ear, and slowly her cold face breaks into a slight grin.

"That is great to hear! Get started on the thing we discussed earlier right away!" What is this "thing"? A new way to torture us? A pain device? Dreams more painful than the ones I've had? The solder then scampers back down the hallway.

"Change of plans girls, this way!" She exclaims in a much better mood, and we abruptly turn to a short hallway that leads us up a staircase. It's less damp up here.

"I see you've fully recovered Juvia, that's good to hear, I'm glad you're in a healthy condition," Clarindessa remarks. I wait for the rest, for the catch of cruelty in her kindness. She says nothing else.

Hazel's eyes are wide with fear, and I wish I could comfort her. The thought of what's coming looms over us like a dark omen.

"Here we are," we stop in front of a brightly lit door.

I expected our torture chamber to be much more gloomy than the room we enter. It's furnished with a couch and bed on opposite sides of the room, and a fireplace directly across from the door. There are windows and curtains, and a table loaded with food in the middle.

"What?" Hazel whispers.

"I apologize for how I've acted towards you. We no longer have any need to cause you pain, so you are now honored guests in this castle," woah, a castle?

"Why don't you need to hurt us?" Hazel ventures to ask in a small voice.

"Oh you want to know? Sit down on the couch and I'll tell you!" Her attitude towards us is completely different.

We sit on the plush couch. The cushions feel like velvet, it's so comfortable.

"I have just received word that there is a group of wizards heading to our castle. They intend to retrieve someon~ something they lost," my eyes widen, "and they come from the guild Fairy Tail."

"No!" I shout and stand up, "what will you do to them!?"

"Oh just standard procedure, there'll be a bit of a fight, a bit of torturing, maybe a couple murders, it all depends sweetie," her smile is sickeningly sweet.

"Why!? What have they done to you!?" Hazel exclaims.

"You really want to know? They ruined my future, that's what! Let me tell you how I lost my family," she snarls, her original demeanour back.

A/N Hey guys I finally finished another chapter! You may notice this chapter is extra long! It's to make up for the gap. I'm worried this story is going to be finished soon, but I'll try to stretch it out. There will probably not be a sequel, you're just going to have to wait and see! But I'm very proud of myself for this chapter. If you find any mistakes please point them out!
