"You were the Chosen One! You were supposed to destroy the Sith, not join them! Bring balance to the Force, not leave it in darkness! " screamed Obi-Wan, as he stood on top of the hill, staring at his former padawan, his best friend, his brother. He saw the pain he was in, his eyes the dark yellow shade of the Sith, his body writhing in darkness. To avoid the pure raging heat of the lava, Obi-Wan went further up the hill, grabbing Anakin's lightsaber as he went up.

Anakin, now Darth Vader, rolled around painfully on the soil, the hot spewing lava rising behind him, getting closer and closer to him as he tried to climb up the hill with his only metal arm. His body was aching, his open wounds were being covered by the soil, seeping into his skin. All Vader could think about was his anger towards his old master, his pure hatred focused on how his body was destroyed, and now he would sit there and suffer for the rest of his life, never to be truly his old form again.

He hated the way the Council treated him, how they kept secrets from him, they lied to him, they pushed him away from becoming a Jedi master, to extend his full abilities. He hated Master Yoda for telling him that should ignore his feelings about saving Padmé, and his mother. He hated Obi-Wan for everything, especially now.

In pure rage and jealousy, Vader grabbed onto the soil, then slamming it back into the ground, his eyes giving his old master an intense glare of pain. "I hate you!" he yelled, his voice distorted from the heat and awful air that continued to sink into his lungs. With little strength he had, he tried pulling himself up with his arm, his pure hatred for Obi-Wan powering him.

Hearing what now Vader had said, Obi-Wan's heart sunk. He couldn't believe the words he was hearing. He was hoping for forgiveness, or that glimmer of hope that maybe Anakin would come back and ask for help, but no, he hated him. "You were my brother Anakin! I loved you!" He yelled back, over the rushing river of lava. He wish he could be there for Anakin, tell him that it was going to be okay, that they were going to be brothers again, like all those years ago when he became a Jedi Knight.

As the lava continued to rise, Vader's right leg had caught on fire, the pure heat catching on to his torn clothing, then continuing to rise up his body. Then his left leg caught on fire, his whole body being sent into flames.

He screamed at the top of his lungs for help, for Obi-Wan to come back and help him, to take him back to the Jedi Temple and get help, and forgive him, but he knew it was too late. He knew Obi-Wan would never be able to forgive him after everything he's already done.

He felt his lungs burn, the scorching air keeping him from breathing, the fire melting his clothes into his skin. He felt nothing but anger, hate, pain... and suffering. Soon he felt his skin shrivel up, leaving his blood and muscles exposed, giving him more than third degree burns, and he couldn't help but feel bitterness as Obi-Wan sat and watched his former student suffer.

Out of pain, Obi-Wan turned his head away, not being able to take in his friend's suffering. He was in tears. As they trickled down his cheeks, they washed away all the dirt and soot that laid upon them, falling on to the ground, crying for his fallen friend. Anakin, he remembered, Vader he saw. He saw Vader burst into flames, his screaming being truly painful- no, unbearable to Obi-Wan. He looked down at him one last time, being disappointed in himself for failing Anakin, for letting him fall to the darkness. Then, he turned around, leaving him and walking away, still hearing the screams and cries of pain.

Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate... Leads to suffering. -Master Yoda

The two hero's lightsabers clashed against one another as they fought on the platform that floated on the lava river on Mustafar. The two friends were being torn apart every minute as their swords crashed against one another. One of them fought hoping to save his friend, while the other fought for power and vengeance.

However, the older and more experienced one saw an opportunity to get away from him, and took it. He flipped off of the floating platform, doing a back flip then landing onto a hill of soot and soil, far away from the lava.

"It's over Anakin! I have the high ground!" he shouts, looking at his former pupil, with hope that he really wouldn't try to come after him, or else, he feared the worst that he may cause his death.

"You underestimate my power!" he shouts back, his eyes fueled with rage and hunger for vengeance. His shoulders heaved up and down from being so angry, and tired from the fighting that seemed to last for hours.

"Don't try it, " Obi-Wan suggests, not hoping to end his life. He never wanted to hurt Anakin, he was defending the whole time, it was Vader who was attacking. But if Vader decided to try it, then he knew what he had to do.

Out of his anger and arrogance, Vader leaped into the air, his hatred empowering him. He gripped on to his lightsaber, doing a back flip as well, but this time, he used the Force to shove Obi-Wan out of the way, making him fall on to the ground, his lightsaber being knocked out of his hand, with Vader landing perfectly into Obi-Wan's spot.

Smirking, Vader used the Force to call Obi-Wan's lightsaber to him, bringing it into his hand, igniting it along with Anakin's lightsaber, holding them crossed at Obi-Wan's neck, forcing him to surrender, just like he did with Dooku.

"It's over my old master, it's your turn to surrender, " he remarks, lifting his head up in pride, as he relishes the moment in defeating his old master, his old friend. His chest rises up and down as he realizes his victory, watching Obi-Wan cower before him, his blue eyes filled with fear, and loss.

"No, " Obi-Wan replied, staring back at his long lost brother. "I am afraid it is you who has lost, my dear old friend. "

Confused, Vader rose an eyebrow, about to close the cross and sever his head from his body when Obi-Wan's leg went up, kicking his lightsaber out of Vader's hand and into the air, then calling it back to his hand, igniting it, the blue blade coming back for battle.

Vader frowned, backing away so he could be prepared for a launch from Obi-Wan, or so he could have a good chance with a Force attack. But unexpectedly, Obi-Wan just sat there, waiting for Vader to attack him. So he took the chance, leaping up into the air, bringing his lightsaber over his head, then bringing it down forcefully on to Obi-Wan's, almost knocking him off balance.

Vader fought fast and with determination to end his Master's life, as he claimed that he caused Anakin much pain and harm. His eyes locked into his Master's, trying to predict his every move. He was his former pupil after all, he could sense what he was doing. He knew his tactics, his strategies, his games. He just wasn't sure when he would use them. After all, he had been training with Obi-Wan for twelve years, so that had to count for something, right?

Obi-Wan on the other hand did not seek to end his brother's life, as he knew he could not win this fight anymore. If Anakin had not used the Force and shoved him out of the way, he could've won this fight by slicing his arm and legs off, and leaving his body to die, as he could not bear to kill him with his own laser sword. He would rather die than to kill Anakin, and he knew that.

As the two warriors neared the top of the hill, Obi-Wan saw Padmé lying on the ground on the landing platform, realizing they had went full circle in their fight. Obi-Wan knew he had to keep Padmé away from Anakin, as he had lashed out and tried to kill her with his anger. He could sense her dying, her life force seemed to be draining away. He looked at Anakin to see if he could sense anything, but no, the Dark Side clouded his thoughts, his feelings. His anger and hatred flowed through him acceptingly, embracing the Dark Side.

Do distract his opponent, Obi-Wan used the Force to push Anakin aside, which made him lose his balance, falling down the hill. Obi-Wan knew he had to act fast to save Padmé and get her aboard the ship, so he used called upon the Force to lift him into the air, using the Force jump, landing on the landing pad next to Padmé.

From a distance, he heard Vader ignite his lightsaber again, his heavy footsteps trudging up the soil. He had to act quickly. Swiftly, he picked up Padmé, carrying her to the ship, and laying her down in the medical area.

Vader, being angry and misguided, he called upon the Dark Side of the Force, channeling all of his rage on to himself, pushing himself up into the air, doing a back flip then landing on the platform as the same way Obi-Wan had done. He looked around for him, spotting him coming of the silver Nabooian ship.

That's when he came to realize, his wife was gone.

"What have you done with her?!" Vader screams, sheathing his lightsaber, marching up to Obi-Wan, all of his rage focused in destroying him.

"She's safe! Away from you, " Obi-Wan sneers, taking his lightsaber back out for battle, just in case Anakin decided to strike him any time.

"She's my wife!" Vader yells, now face to face with Obi-Wan. "I'll take her from you, just like you've taken everything from me! My mother, my home, now my family!" He yells, igniting his blue lightsaber, the only thing that seemed to belong to Anakin. Anakin was no more, as his eyes burned yellow, backing away from Obi-Wan, a man he no longer cared for. A man he no longer knew.

"That family belongs to Anakin Skywalker!" shouted back Obi-Wan, igniting his as well. "You are evil and corrupted! You are Darth Vader, not the man I once trained."

Darth Vader paced back and forth, one hand gripping on to his lightsaber tightly, while the other ran over his face in thought, and confusion. Suddenly Anakin started crying, his tears rolling down his cheeks, knowing that he had done wrong, and he knew his wife would never be able to forgive him.

"You... You're right... "Anakin admits, as he sheaths his lightsaber. He sniffed, wiping away his tears. He slowly approaches Obi-Wan, looking at his old master. "I am no longer the man you trained,  better, " he spat, surprising Obi-Wan, taking his lightsaber out again, going into yet another heated battle.

They fight, lightsabers twirling, crashing, punches being thrown at one another, when suddenly Obi-Wan has the upper hand, his lightsaber crashing on top of Anakin's, his strength pushing him down to the ground. He then used the Force to continue pushing him down, which made Vader lose control of his balance, knocking him off of his feet, sending him to land on the platform on his back, his lightsaber rolling out of his hand.

"You're done here, " Obi-Wan remarks, spitting blood out of his mouth when Vader had punched him.  Quickly, Obi-Wan grabs Anakin's blade, running to the ship, boarding it, and leaving Darth Vader with heartache and loss.

"No!" Vader yelled, trying to run after the ship, as it flew off, but he knew it was no good. Everything had been taken from him. His wife, the love of his life. His unborn child, to whom he thought could rule the galaxy with him one day. Even his droids had been taken away from him.

Vader fell back down to his knees, his chest rising up and down from his anger, his heartache; his sadness. He would go after them, but there was no point. He was in control now, with all of the Jedi dead, best friends of the Chancellor, new ruler of the galaxy, he had all of the power. He would find Obi-Wan one day and seek his revenge.

For now, he would wallow in pain, and seek inwards for his new profound rage towards his old master.
