I've experienced it Myself - because I am & have always been The Only Daughter of My Parents. 

The good side of it is the fact that before I went to school during the moments when my parents were busy doing something else - I quickly learnt to Play on My Own. I had two friends since the earliest years because they were my neighbors & the Mothers of those two girls were also My Mother's friends - but during the moments when I was at home & not meeting my friends - I had no problems with playing with My Toys alone - even for a few hours. ( I had no computer then & wasn't bored, surprised? :) )

I've never ever said 'Mom, I'm bored!' - because I've Never been bored in My Life. I had lots of ideas & vivid imagination - so I didn't need company to do something interesting - because I was able to have fun on my own.

And that's probably the Reason why I can't understand why some modern teens who have friends, Siblings, computers & All Possible Social Media say that 'they are bored' Everyday! XD

- Maybe their problem is not having Hobbies? - Time to think about it, Kids! :) 

( If you discover your talents, find passions or things you can start doing as a hobby because it brings you Joy, something RL, other than occupying Social Media - Your time will be Flying as fast as Lightning, just like My Time always did!   ^^ )
