SEVENTEEN

AHHH I finally made one of these! I love it so much!

creds to forbehs for explaining how to make it :)

❝he broke down her walls without her even noticing. And when he rebuilt the walls, he added windows to let the sunshine in.❞

"SO, ARE YOU two finally going steady? I've been waiting ever since you first took Naomi over here to the bar." Buck spoke. Excitement filled his voice as he poured us our usual drinks.

Before I could say anything, Dally spoke for me. "Yeah, we're going steady." He shot me a small smile, making me blush slightly.

"Aww, Dally's finally found someone he loves that loves him back." Buck cooed, handing us our drinks.

I laughed lightly while Dally threw him the middle finger. I took a small sip of my whiskey, not in the mood to get super drunk today. "Naomi!"

A person shouted my name, and I twirled my head around at the familiar voice. "Maya, what the hell are you doing here?" I questioned, my voice surprisingly kept at a normal tone.

She ran over to me, panic swept across her face. "Are you okay? I heard you got taken to the hospital, and I know you're pissed off at me and you hate me, but I just wanted to make sure if you were okay."

I could feel Dally rolling his eyes behind me and I chuckled. "I'm fine as you can see. I had my real friends save me and take me to the hospital." I spat, referring to the gang being my friends.

Her face expression softened and she slowly nodded her head. "Can I please just talk to you for a second, Naomi? Just me and you?"

I turned back towards Dally who rolled his eyes and took a swig of his beer. I sighed, standing up out of my seat. "You have five minutes."

She nodded and we walked outside of the bar. We both sat in her car as she took a deep breath, the wind blowing through her hair. "Naomi, I said those things to you because my parents made me. They told me you were a bad influence on me and that I needed to end it with you. I never wanted to do it, Naomi. I swear. I wouldn't lie to you."

It stung a little for Maya's parents to say that. I considered them my parents as well, and they raised me like I was theirs. I bit my lip, glancing down at my shoes. They were stained with blood.

My blood.

Maya noticed it and tears swelled up in her eyes. "I am so sorry, Naomi. Please forgive me. I can't live with you hating me!" She buried her face in her hands and started crying.

I took a deep breath, trying to contain myself. Like I said, I have a soft spot for Maya. I always have, and I always will.

I rolled my eyes. "Alright, stop your pity party. I forgive you, Sunshine."

Her crying stopped and her face lit up like a Christmas tree. She pulled me into a hug, nearly choking me half to death. "I love you so much, Naomi. I don't know what I'd do without you."

I smiled to where she couldn't see. "Yeah, whatever. I need to go back in there to Dally."

She pulled away and a small smirk tugged at the corners of her mouth. "I told you that you would fall for Dallas Winston."

I groaned. "Oh shut up! He fell for me!"

"Yeah, I did." A voice came from behind me, making a grin shoot across my face.

Maya smiled as I got out of the car, giving Dally a kiss on the lips. We both started walking back towards Buck's, hand in hand.

"Hey, Naomi!"

I turned back around at Maya. "Yeah?"

"Go get em' tiger!"

"DALLY?" SILENCE EXPLORED the room as we lay side by side, staring up at the ceiling.

"Hmm?"

I turned around to where I was facing him, my hand still on his chest. "Will you ever say you love me?"

He pondered on my question, not knowing what to say. The question didn't catch him by surprise though. He knew I'd ask it someday.

"You know I'm not the mushy type, Cinderella."

That's the answer he'd probably give me if I asked him a year later. That's how Dallas was. He still is the same. He's still broken, and he still has his walls up, but I broke down one wall. Just like he broke mine down.

Now, we're repairing our walls, but this time we're putting up windows. So, the sunshine can come through.

It never has before.

No sunshine came in. We never saw sunshine or happiness. We were just two damaged people, trying to fix each other up.

I turned back around on my back, continuing to stare at the ceiling. I don't know why we were doing this, but I didn't question it. I was with him and that's all that mattered.

Someone opened the door, causing us to raise our heads up. Johnny came towards us, a small grin on his face. "I just wanted to know if you guys were going to come to the school dance tonight."

Realization hit me, and I started freaking out. "I forgot all about that!"

Dally shot me a weird look. "I thought you don't care much for dances."

I shrugged. "I don't. I like crashing them."

A smirk appeared on his face. "Cinderella, do you want to go to the ball with me tonight?"

A huge grin appeared on my face and I nodded. "Yes, I would love to, Prince Charming."

"Then you better run to Maya's. She's already waiting for you." Johnny chuckled, making me shake my head.

"Of course she's waiting for me."

I ran towards her house, sneaking up through her window. I would go through the front door, but her parents hate me now so that wouldn't work.

I opened her window and slid inside, plopping down on the seat. She was already sitting there, waiting for me. My eyes went huge as I scanned the room. Dresses were everywhere, gorgeous ones too.

When I looked back at her, she shot me a smirk. "Dress up time."

After going through twenty dresses, in which Maya shook her head no a thousand times, I finally came out in a blue dress. It came down to my feet, complimenting my curves perfectly. I spun around, making the dress move with me.

Maya's eyes went wide and she squealed, clapping her hands together. "Perfect! Dallas is going to go nuts when he lays his eyes on you!"

She passed me new converses, making me gasp. "Maya! You got me new shoes?"

She smiled sheepishly. "I saw your old ones. I know you loved them, so I got you new ones. Plus, I knew you weren't going to wear heels to the dance."

I pulled her into a hug tightly, slipping the shoes on. They fit perfectly. Then, Maya got ready, and she came out in a pink dress that fit her perfectly. Once we both were ready, I peered down out her window. Dallas and the gang were in the front yard waving, making me giggle.

Maya sighed. "I have to go downstairs because my parents want to take pictures. Be careful sliding down the window."

I nodded, stepping slowly out her window. Luckily, I had my new converses, so I didn't have to worry about losing my step. I jumped down, being caught in someones arms. I looked up and smiled to find Dallas.

He put me down, his eyes sparkling. "You look......wow."

I blushed, making the whole gang go crazy. They weren't used to Dally acting like this. "Someone finally took Dal's breath away. Would you look at that?" Two-Bit teased, patting Dally on the back.

We waited for Maya to come out, and then we all got in cars, driving off to the school dance. "Let's get ready to dance and make trouble!" I shouted, the guys cheering.

Dally glanced at me, a small smile formed on his lips. He kissed me gently on the forehead. "It's going to be a fun night."
