Lollie Parker

Would you ever believe that Lollie and Charlie would be "together"?

No? Well. Hand in hand, laughing their butts off about bad trailers, and trust me Charlie knew this was a better date than he had with Riley.

Lollie was honestly having the time of her life.

Lucas who?

I'm sorry that's mean, let's check up on our boy.

As for him, he was currently sitting with Farkle and "plotting". If you want to call it that.

The two of them sat in Topanga's and discussed their plan.

"I don't want to be apart of this." Farkle said, "What if she gets hurt?"

Lucas sighed, "I've explained this already. No one is getting hurt in any shape or form."

"This is stupid Lucas. Lollie's moved on."

Lucas looked up at him.

"She has?"

Farkle went wide-eyed.

He remembered Lollie told him about how she was going to hanging out with Charlie tonight.

He sighed, "She isn't doing this to make you jealous Lucas. You really did hurt her feelings. She's trying to forget what you said."

Lucas just looked at him.

"If you want to go on with this plan of yours go ahead, but I'm not going to hurt Lollie because you want her back."

Farkle stood up and walked out of Topanga's on his way out he saw Lollie walking towards him.

She ran towards him and engulfed him in a hug.

He smiled at her, "How was your date?"

"It's was okay." She brushed her bangs out her face, "I mean same as always, bad movie, great trailers."

"Sounds like you had fun."

"I mean I guess Charlie's a nice guy but-"

"Lucas is in the way of you moving on?" Farkle asked.

"It takes time for everything. Lucas is just a person I have to move on from."

Farkle and Lollie knew it was going to exceptionally hard for her to move on.

The group sat in Topanga's as they watched Riley sit somewhere else.

"What? You're not sittin' with us anymore?" Maya asked.

"I don't deserve to sit with you guys. I am disgraced. D for disgraced." Riley said.

"Riley, it's only one grade." Lucas explained.

Lollie sighed, "Yeah, you know how many D's I got in middle school?"

Noah looked at her, "Literally none."

"Once, I got five "D's" in one day." Maya said.

"You were Cinco D Maya." Zay said.

Lollie laughed at him.

"I don't get it." Riley said.

"Actually, those D's don't matter anymore, Maya." Farkle said, "None of our old grades do."

"We all start as equals here, because only our high school grades count on our permanent record." Smackle explained.

"What? What's that?" Riley asked.

"It's our high school transcript." Zay said.

"It's what colleges use when they decide whether to accept you or not." Farkle said.

"And so far for you, not." Smackle said.

Lollie looked over in Smackle's direction. She wasn't helping at all.

"Smackle, remember how you asked us to let you know when your refreshing honesty crosses over into-" Riley started but Smackle cut her off, "Get to it, Bubbles!"

"Now!"

"Wait, so they don't care about middle school?" Maya asked.

"They only look at your high school grades." Farkle said.

Maya grabbed Farkle by the shirt, "Then why'd you make me go all this time?"

"If you didn't go they could fail you and make you repeat the eighth grade again." Lollie said.

Maya mumbled but mainly to herself, "Wouldn't want to do that again."

"Wait. So nobody cares about all the good grades I got when I was a kid?" Riley asked.

"They only care that you didn't eat paste." Lollie said.

"How long does that stay in ya?" She asked.

"Boy, all those years I went to middle school I could've been scratchin' lottery tickets and chuggin' sody pop." Maya said.

"Well, Maya, you finally hit the jackpot. I mean, right now, you and Lollie can go to any college you want." Zay said.

"What about me?" Riley asked.

"You're their cute friend." Zay said.

"Please don't give up on me, college." Riley muttered.

"Colleges don't only care about grades, you know." Noah said, "They care about extracurriculars, and that's why Zay, Lucas, and I, are trying out for baseball."

"Since the football team made their feelings about us quite clear." Zay said.

"It wasn't that bad." Lucas said.

"It was! They hit us so hard."

"It's all right, baseball's our sport anyway." Noah said.

"Yeah. Lucas was our star in middle school." Zay said.

"What were you?" Smackle asked.

"I was his cute friend."

Lollie smiled before speaking, "They technically care about all of it. Extracurriculars, SAT, ACT, blah blah blah."

"I never got a "D" before." Riley said.

"I used to be the biggest star in middle school." Farkle said.

"You're still a star, dearest one." Smackle said.

"Yeah, but I used to be the North Star. I used to be the brightest star in the sky. What do you do when you realize you're not the smartest kid in school anymore?" He asked.

"I don't know. Maya, what do you do when you realize your best days might have been in middle school?" Riley asked.

Lollie sighed, "You can still be the bright North Star Farkle. We all can. Yeah, this can affect you Riley but you can always bring it up. I mean, look at us, we're in high school. We got this far, why stop now?"

Maya held up her paper which had an "A" written on it.

Riley sat down beside her, "What'd it say? What'd it say?"

Maya looked at Lollie before speaking towards her paper.

"I know, right?"

"Maya and "A" don't get to spend a lot of time together. Let's let them have their moment." Zay said.

Lucas, Noah, Zay, Farkle, Lollie, and Smackle got up and left.

Lucas grabbed Lollie's arm and pulled her to the side.

"How was your date?" He asked.

Farkle sighed.

"It was fine, I guess."

Lollie had no idea where the conversation could be going.

Lucas starched the back of his neck, "Well I just wanted to let you know that I also had a date, it's tonight."

"Okay."

I mean, what else could she had possibly have said.

"Yeah her name is, Ryan Olivia Quinn. Yep."

Lollie obviously could see through his lie because she replied with, "Does she go to school with us?"

Lollie was not and will never be the jealous type.

"Um, no."

Farkle approached them, "Hey, want to watch a movie at your place?"

"Yeah sure." Lollie answered.

"Great. I'll pick one out. See you there."

Lollie smiled at him and faced Lucas, "Have fun with Ryan Olivia Quinn."

Lollie walked up the steps and walked towards her apartment with Noah by her side.

Farkle faced him, "What was the point?"

"I don't know."

"She's going to find out and when she doesn't she's probably going to hate you more."

Farkle sighed, "I really can't help you with this Lucas. I really don't want her mad at me. I love Lollie too, but if you really even remotely liked her you wouldn't be doing any of this to her."

Farkle was never the blowup type. So when he was mad he still somehow kept his voice at a small almost whisper.

Maya had called Lollie over, she wanted help tutoring Riley in Spanish.

"Trabajar." Lollie said.

"To work." Riley answered.

"Muy bien. Now conjugate."

"Trabajo, trabajas, trabaja."

"Excellente, Mija!"

"Chewbacca, Chewbakaka."

"What is wrong with you?" Maya asked.

"You were doing so well until that." Lollie said.

"Please remember me when you get to college." Riley said.

Lollie heard footsteps and saw Lucas, Noah, and Zay.

Lucas stepped inside, "We're you!"

"You're me?" Riley asked.

"Yeah! All of a sudden we're losers!" Noah said.

Lollie chuckled, "You were already a loser."

Zay looked at Maya and Lollie.

"I'm you!"

"You're us?" Maya asked.

"Yeah! All of sudden I'm a phenom!"

Maya and Zay smiled and started doing a handshake.

Zay was beyond excited and that's something he should be proud of.

He hugged Lollie and lifted her off the ground.

A literal fit of giggles could be heard coming out her mouth.

It was soothing for Lucas to hear.

He put Lollie back down and faced the three teens who migrated to the bed.

"Okay, when did you guys come up with that?" Riley asked.

"Oh, it's just something people on this side of the room know about." Zay explained.

"Okay well, we actually know about it, too." Riley said.

She tried doing the handshake with Noah and it failed to say the least.

"We had our first baseball tryout today. All my life, baseball has always come easy to me." Lucas said.

"Not today." Zay said.

"It's gone. I mean, I get up to bat and I can't even see the ball." Lucas said.

"Meanwhile, back on this side of the room." Zay said.

"He can't miss. He's hitting everything, he's great in the field, he's an all-star." Noah said.

"Wait, Noah, tell 'em what the coach said about me, tell 'em." Zay said.

"He said, Good day, kid."

"Now tell 'em what he said about you two."

"He said, Good day, kid."

The tone of voice was different.

"Riley, we're losers. Do you know what's on our permanent record?" Lucas asked.

"Glitter and smiley faces if we try try again?" She asked.

"Losers!" Lucas said.

Farkle had entered the room and looked disappointed.

Lollie sent him a smile, "What's the matter, darling?"

"There's another genius in my Honors Chem class! The other genius is making me feel bad!" He said.

Noah stood up and grabbed Farkle's arm, "Then you're on this side of the room, loser."

"You know what the worst thing of life is? The worst thing of life is when someone you know is better than you in every way."

"Rubs it in your face?" Zay asked.

"No."

"Can't hit a baseball to save his life?" Lucas asked.

"Me time!" Farkle shouted.

"I was talking about you." Lucas said.

Farkle rolled his eyes and continued speaking, "The worst thing of life is when someone you know is better than you in every way loves you anyway. Even if they do something completely and horribly wrong."

Smackle entered the room with a smile.

"Honeybuckets!"

"Smackle's the genius in your chemistry class? The one that did something completely and horribly wrong?" Lollie asked.

"Smackle's the genius everywhere." Farkle said.

He ignored her second question.

"Well, you're with us now." Zay said.

He put her arm around her shoulders.

"Don't hit on me in front of Lucas." She said.

"Smackle." Lucas said.

"Don't hit on me in front of Farkle." She said.

"Smackle." Farkle said.

"You, me, Lucas, Lollie, and Zay. We're better than a triangle, we're a quadrilateral! I'm the star in the middle!" She exclaimed.

Just let her be excited.

"What's that?" Maya said.

"It means square. Over here we say square." Farkle explained.

"Oh, beloved you know how smart you are, don't feel threatened." Smackle said.

"I don't feel threatened, my former arch-nemesis and current arch lovesis. I just feel confused.
I've never been on this side of the room before." Farkle said.

"Yeah, I'm not thrilled about it, either. How do you feel?" Lucas asked Riley.

Riley looked over at the others, "Well, I am happy for you guys."

"Of course you are. You're Riley.
You've always been Riley." Lollie said.

The group looked at Noah.

"Oh! Me? I'm fine. Baseball? A thing of the past."

That what was so great about Noah. He wasn't even the sporty type. He wasn't going to let a simple thing like this bring him down.

Lollie sat in the middle of the floor in her room.

Her bay window was unlocked so Farkle just let himself in.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

Lollie smiled his way.

"I guess."

Farkle sighed. As bad as it sounded he had to tell Lollie the truth.

He didn't want to lose that trust because of what Lucas was doing.

"Lollie, I have something to tell you."

Lollie looked up at him as she played with her fingers.

He took a deep breath in, "There is no Ryan Olivia Quinn."

Lollie nodded, "I know."

"You know?"

"Lucas came over earlier and told me the truth."

Lollie stood up and answered the door.

She was currently the only one home at the moment.

She opened the door and saw Lucas standing there.

It was like he had word vomit.

"I'm sorry but I lied about the Ryan whoever Quinn girl. She's not real and I'm sorry I lied about it."

Lollie only looked at him.

"I'm truly sorry."

Lollie looked at the floor, "Want to come inside?"

Lucas stepped inside and sat down on the couch.

Lollie grabbed Baloo and moved him on the other chair.

She huffed and sat down, "Why'd you lie?"

He wanted to tell the complete and honest truth but it didn't seem to come out, it didn't come out the way he wanted.

He sighed, "The truth?"

"It would be nice."

"I don't like Charlie."

"I know."

"I don't like you and Charlie together."

Lollie sighed.

She really didn't know what to say at the time.

"I mean, I know I messed up and I know that because I messed up we may never get back together. There's no one to blame but me. You made moving on seem easy."

"Who said I've moved on?"

She hadn't.

Lucas looked at her.

"Just because I go on a date with Charlie doesn't mean I completely moved on. I really do like you Lucas. That's probably not going to change."

Lucas smiled at her, "I'm really sorry."

"I know you are."

Farkle seemed relieved that Lucas told Lollie the truth.

"I appreciate you coming to me about it anyway Farkle."

Farkle smiled at her, "Anytime."

"So, what movie are we watching?"

Farkle grabbed the movie from behind him.

"Baby Genius. It reminded me of us."

I wouldn't tell the others but Farkle was ultimately Lollie's favorite person.

Luckily, Farkle would say the same.

Mr. Matthews walked into his classroom with a surprised look.

"You guys are early for class."

"I want an "A" from you, too, Matthews, I'm collecting a whole set." Maya said.

"Good for you, Maya."

"Eh, quit your blubberin', this'll go away."

"I had such a good day at tryouts, I thought the coach was gonna put me on varsity." Zay said.

"Congratulations Zay." Lollie said.

He sent her a smile.

"I didn't even deserve to make junior varsity the way I practiced." Lucas said.

"But he put all of us on the J.V.
team." Noah said.

"You know what I've known all along, even though I learned it just now? Good teachers look down the road to someone's possibilities. What you know now is never good enough for a good teacher. Because there's so much out there to learn. And sometimes you won't get it at all. And sometimes it may seem like we're speaking to you in a foreign language. But you know what? There are good teachers here. I'm looking forward to being one of them." Mr. Matthews said.

Riley smiled, "You always have been."

"You know, I'm glad we get to play together on the same team." Lucas said.

"Me, too, man." Zay said.

"I am excited we are partaking in this intellectual endeavor together, dearest." Smackle said.

Farkle looked at her, "As am I. Even though I must finally admit I am beginning to think you are my intellectual superior."

"I used to think so, but now I regard us as equals." Smackle said.

It was a very, "Awwww!" type moment.

"Good. Then you're not as smart as I thought." Farkle said.

"Awww!" Lucas said.

He was the only one who spoke.

"I hate when that happens."
