~Surprised reaction~

(No one's POV)

Recap: last time on "Logan & Rory" (If Rory had said Yes)

"Me and Rory are engaged. We are getting married", Logan said, holding Rory's hand.

There was a silent moment, and then after a pause, there was a huge cheer of joy. Richard, Emily, Shira, and Mitchum jumped up and ran over to Rory and Logan, and hugged them.

Rory and Logan smiled at each other. Their parents and grandparents were happy about them getting married.

(No one's POV, present day)

Amidst the celebrating no one noticed or heard the signal that dinner was ready. It wasn't until Richard's and Emily housekeeper, Annalise came into the seating room.

"Mrs. Gilmore", she yelled. She was trying to get Emily's attention so she could let them know that dinner was ready, so they can eat.

"Yes", Emily said, after 10 minutes. She finally saw Annalise standing there. She was so excited about Rory and Logan getting married that she hadn't noticed her standing there before.

Annalise just stood there looking at Emily and everyone that was there. She didn't say anything for a minute, she just stayed silent.

"Well, what is it"?, Emily exclaimed impatiently.

"I just want to let you know that dinner was ready", Annalise said, very flustered.

Emily stares at her maid, "Dinner will have to wait. We are too excited to eat. My granddaughter is getting married, so put dinner on hold. This is not a time to have dinner", Emily said. She then goes to seat down next to Shira, and they start planning Rory's and Logan's wedding.

Rory, Logan, Mitchum and Richard looked at each other. How can there not be dinner? Rory and Logan came there to let them that they were engaged and then they were going to stay for dinner.

After ten minutes of them just sitting there while Shira and Emily plan their granddaughter's and son's wedding, without even including them into the conversation Rory and Logan, who were sitting on one side of the sitting room stands up and walks to the other side of the living room. There they sit back down again, closer to Mitchum and Richard.

All of them were hungry, suddenly Richard speaks up, and says, "Why don't we go end go to a restaurant for dinner since obviously we are going to be waiting awhile for dinner. It seems that Emily and Shira are too busy talking about your wedding", he says, looking over at both Rory and Logan.

Rory looked at Richard shocked, wondering how her grandpa could even consider going that without even telling Emily. "Grandpa? Wouldn't Grandma be very upset with us for leaving when she realizes that they had left, to go out to dinner. While her and Shira were talking"?

"No, Rory, they are so wrapped up into talking about you guys wedding, that they will probably be still talking by the time that by the time that we leave, go to a restaurant, have dinner, and then come back they are probably still going to be talking", Richard explains. He understood Rory's resentence, but he was starting to get hungry, he was hungry, when Annalise originally told them that dinner was ready, before Emily stopped them from eating.

"Okay, so let's go", Rory agreed. She was done having to wait for food. She was just worried about how Emily and Shira was going to react when they realize that Richard, Mitchum, Logan and her left.

They all got up and quietly walked out of the house. Emily and Shira were left sitting in the sitting room, not knowing that they were left all alone.

Let me know what you think about this. Emily and Shira both, seem to be the kind of people that would take charge with something is important has a wedding, like Emily doing with Sooki's wedding, in Season 2. I was trying to keep them as close as their personalities were on "Gilmore Girls", and trying to imagine how they would react.
