"Well, come on you must rest a bit" Thunder responded to them and they decided to get ready to sleep for the night.

Dusk looked around and saw many Pikachus together. Most sleeping while some mingled with each other quietly to prevent waking the others.

He laid down under the big Oak tree and fell asleep.

Dusk laid down beside Lightning resting his back against hers. "Goodnight Lightning," he spoke to her.

"Goodnight Dusk" she spoke stroking the beige colored fur on his neck.

He blushed at her touch but smiled at how soft her paws felt running through his puffy chest fur. Dusk snuggled up against her a little closer.

Lightning felt Dusk move closer to her. His warm brown and beige colored fur brushing against hers.

Her fur felt so silky as he brushed against it. It felt so nice...He couldn't help but run his paws through it so he turned to face her. She was sleeping so calmly like a sleeping Mew.

"She's so beautiful when she sleeps," he whispered to himself. He wrapped his paws around her sleeping form carefully and rest his head against hers, closing his eyes and letting sleep take over his body.

The next morning, Dusk and Lightning frolicked through the long grass together.

Dusk laughed along with Lightning as decided to begin a game of tag with her.

He chased her and she chased him, each time they tried to tag each other.

Dusk was it so he used quick attack to close the gap tagging her but his momentum carried over as they began rolling down a small slope together.

Dusk laughed as they stopped at the bottom with his body on top of hers. She began to laugh as well. He calmed down and smiled at her placing his paw on her cheek softly.

He rubbed her cheek softly. "Hey Lightning?" he asked her. "Yes, Dusk" she replied back to him. He stared at her as their noses barely touch. "I wanted to tell you something..." he said quietly as he stared into her sparkling eyes.

"What?" she asked him.

He was about to graze his lips across hers, but he chose to tease her instead. "Tag you're it!" he says as he patted her cheek lightly and got off her. She got back up and ran after him.

He ran into the forest to hide from her when he heard the bushes rustle and froze.She ran looking both ways for him, when she heard the bush rustle as well, and ran towards it to see Dusk starring at it. She watched it as well as she started to quiver and shake in fear.

He turned around to see Lightning standing there quivering in fear. He beckoned her to move towards him and stay right behind him.

Her ears drooped down to the back of her head. The creature jumps out of the shrub in front of them; it was a Mankey. The bushes around them began to rustle and more Mankeys appeared one by one and surrounded them.

Dusk began to walk towards the Mankeys. "Stay behind me, Lightning" he whispered to her as he moved into a battle stance. Two Mankeys charged toward them as Dusk let them get close enough to hit them across the face with iron tail knocking them back. Lightning watched as Dusk fought the Mankeys one by one. One Mankey moves towards Lightning to attack her from behind.

Lightning's ears perked as she heard movement coming from behind her.She turned around to spot a Mankey trying to use a fury swipe attack on her from the back but managed to dodge it and shocked him with thunderbolt causing him to fall to the ground electrocuted. Dusk bites one in the face and chucked him away into another Mankey. The Mankeys began to back off from them. "Awesome job shocking that one Lightning" he complimented her. "Thank you, you did amazing too" she responded to Dusk.

"Heh, it was nothing really" he replied modestly.

"What's going on here!" a voice boomed through the bushes.

Dusk's ears drooped at his voice. It sounds familiar...

"Who was that? What's wrong?" Lightning asked.

A Primape appears through the bushes. "What are you idiots doing!? You are supposed to be searching for the c-" Primape stops when he sees Dusk and chuckles darkly. "Well well well...big surprise seeing you here." he said to Dusk.

"I could say the same for you " Dusk retorted as his face melts into a scowl.

"Who is he?" Lightning asked Dusk.

"He was the Primape who killed my best friend..." he replied sadly, explaining to her how his Charmander friend named Spike was to him.

Dusks past:

"Come on Dusk" Spike cried out, running down a steep slope with a younger 13 year old version of Dusk in the Kanto region.

"Wait for me Spike" Dusk replied.

They heard rustling from a bush and met a Primeape.

"Oh hello there, sir" Dusk responded politely.

"Hm... I've heard of you two helping out Pokemon that have problems and stopping mean Pokemon, well you aren't going to stop me" the Primeape responded with an evil grin.

"Let's see about that" Spike growled as he moved to a battle stance.   "Come on Dusk we can defeat him." Spike responded. "Ha, I like to see you try" Primeape chuckled evily.

Primeape ran towards Spike with Mach punch, but Spike used flamethrower and fried him. Primape got back up and growled at Spike. Dusk used iron tail and slapped him in the face. Primeape  tried another Mach punch at them, but Spike used fire spin. This time Primeape dodged the attack and punched Spike in the face. Dusk ran towards Primeape with quick attack but Primeape kicked him and he hit a tree very hard.

Primeape ran towards Dusk, but Primeape used scratch on him as he created a small scar on his right hind leg and left tiny scratches on his face. Spike shook the pain off and used dragon rage as he hit Primeape hard.  Dusk just stood there trembling in fear as he was unable to move. Primeape was enraged and used a very strong Mach punch heading for Dusk, but Spike saved him and Primeape punched him right in the lungs as a huge fatal blow on him.

Spike landed on the ground gasping for air.  "Spike!!" Dusk yelled as he ran towards his defeated friend. Dusk looked at his injured friend laying on the ground after Primeape's ferocious beating. Primeape took one last laugh before his gang left Dusk to mourn.

"Spike..." Dusk responded sullenly. "D-Dusk..." he replied weakly. "Please say that you're going to be okay" Dusk responded worried. "Dusk, I'm sorry. I-I couldn't defeat him" Spike coughed. "He's too strong to defeat even for us" Dusk responded sullenly. "It's ok, we tried our best and that's what matters" Spike said weakly.

The flame on Spike's tail began to glow dim every second. "Spike, y-your tail. Y-you're..." Dusk couldn't say the words. "Your going to do great things in this world Dusk" Spike responded weakly as his tail grew dimmer and dimmer every second. "Spike, don't say that, you're going to make it, you have to" Dusk cried. "D-Dusk I-I..." Spike's voice was stuck in his mouth as he laid there motionless like stone with his tail now unlit.

"Spike! Spike!! Spike!!!!!!" Dusk screamed as he nudged his friend but he said nothing. Large tears brimmed in his eyes. He donned Spike's bandanna as a token of their friendship as he roamed the world alone, helping those in need.However his fear of rejection hinders him from making friends himself.

Back in reality: 

"H-He killed someone?" Lightning gulped ears drooping again. "Yeah...he did..." Dusk replied back to her.

"Hehe looks like you found a new friend already too...hehehe...quite the catch too. You're gonna cower behind her as well?" Primape cackled. "You leave her out of this!!" Dusk exclaimed.

Lightning gritted her teeth and stepped forward. "You are gonna pay for what you did to Spike!" she growled.

"Just try me," he said as he put up his fists. Dusk moved back into a battle stance. "I'm not the same Eevee that you attacked 2 years ago. Think you can beat me now?"

Primape charges at them launching a barrage of punches. He swiftly dodges all of them and sweep his feet with iron tail causing him to fall.

Lightning began to applause watching the battle like a wrestling match.

Primape gets up angrily and goes for a jab at Dusk's side. He managed to jump high and perform a front flip smacking him down on the face with iron tail, causing him to stagger.

"What's wrong Primape? You seem slower than usual" Dusk taunted him.

Lightning felt like a cheerleader performing a couple flips and cheering out for Dusk.

Primape is enraged now and charges at Dusk. He stared at him waiting for the perfect opportunity.

Just when he was about to hit him square in the jaw with Mach Punch. Dusk used quick attack to swiftly move aside as he punched a tree behind him, causing a bundle of apples to fall square on his head hard.

"OOOO! How do you like them apples!" Lightning laughed.

"Hah! Is that all you got?!" Dusk said confidently as he stood behind him. Big mistake...Primape caught him off guard and hits him square in the chest with Mach punch. Dusk felt the air knock right out of his lungs as he flew into a tree hitting the trunk hard with his back.

"Urk... should have seen that coming..." he coughed as he struggled to his paws.

Lightning gasped and ran right into the battlefield. She used electro ball behind Primape's back shocking him.

Dusk saw Lightning rush into the battlefield and shocked Primape, as he falls to the ground struggling to stand up as he was paralyzed.

Lightning rushes towards Dusk and held out her paw to help him get up. "Are you alright?" she asked.

" Y-yeah...I am..." he took her paw and pulls himself up on his paws, "thank you Lightning," Dusk says to her with a smile. "Your welcome" she responded to Dusk. "Grrr...you'll both pay for that," Primape exclaimed as he struggled against the paralysis. He glared at Primape. "What do you say we finish this Lightning?" Dusk say to her.

"I think one strong attack should finish him off. Let's hit him simultaneously" he says as he looked toward Lightning.

"Okay" she replied to Dusk.

He charged up shadow ball and aimed at Primeape. "Ready?" he asked her.

"Yeah" she grinned.

"3...2...1...fire!" He launched a powerful shadow ball from his mouth.

Lightning shot an electro ball and the shadow ball turned into an electro shadow ball as it hit Primeape as a critical hit.

"Gaughhhhh!!!!" Primape falls to the ground defeated. "Yes!! We did it Lightning!!!" Dusk cheered as he holds her paws and jumps for joy.

"We did! We did!" she cried in excitement . When she heard another rustle from a bush. "Did you hear that?" she stopped and asked Dusk.

He stopped and looked towards the bush. The Mankeys seemed to be trembling as a larger figure poked through the bushes revising to be an Infernape. They watched as the Infernape approaches the injured Primeape.

"Who is he?" Lightning asked Dusk.

"I-I don't know..." he replied to Lightning.

"Could he be their leader?" Lightning asked Dusk.

"With the way they are quivering to him? It seems that way..." he answered to Lightning with a hint of fear in his voice.

"What is he going to do?" Lightning whispered.

"I don't know..." Dusk whispered back "it looks like he's talking to Infernape though...

"Pitiful Primape. You have fallen to the paws of a Pikachu and Eevee. To a bunch of pre-evolved Pokémon," Infernape said coldly.

Primape quivers in fear. "I'm sorry boss! It won't happen again!"

"He did have the advantage against you and you still beat him. You must be strong, Dusk" Lightning responded to him.

"Eh, I guess I have gotten better," he replied with a blush.

Primape continued to talk to the Infernape.

"We still hadn't found the cocoon yet, sir" Primape said.

"Cocoon? What cocoon?" Dusk asked.

"The cocoon of destruction" Primape answered receiving a death glare from Infernape realizing he said too much.

"Oh no! Is that Yveltal?" Lightning asked Dusk out loud, trembling in fear.

"Y-yes it is...." Dusk says shaking in fear as well.

"Well it looks like our secret is out," Infernape said approaching them.

Lightning trembled while they walked closer to them. She tried to run, but Infernape grabbed her before she could run for it.

"Dusk help!" she cried out.

"Put her down!" he yelled as he charged at Infernape.

Infernape swiftly smacks him in the face with blazing kick, kicking him into a tree unconscious. "Pathetic," he commented as he turns his gaze towards Lightning.

"How dare you, hurt my friend!" she yelled angrily, using iron tail and slapping his face, but he caught her again and smacked her using blazing kick and kicked her as well landing right next to Dusk and blacked out.

Infernape walked over to them. "Take some vines and tie them up. They're coming back with us to our lair. Then we'll resume our search."

Lightning woke up and saw that she was in some cave. "Where are we?" she asked Dusk, who was lying next to her tied up in vines.

He still laid unconscious beside her.

"Dusk! Wake up! Dusk, Please, wake up!" she yelled, trying to wake him up.

"Oh..." he said groggily as his eyes flutter open. "Where... where are we...?"

I have no idea" she answered, "but I think we're in some kind of Poke lair".

"Yeah..." he tries moving. "Huh? He looked down and see they are wrapped in vines together, "what is this?"

"I don't know" Lightning replied.

"Wait where did that Infernape go?" she asked.

"I don't think they're here..." Dusk answered, "how long have we been out cold?"

"I don't know I've just woken up" Lightning replied.

Lightning gasped, remembering what they were after, "The cocoon of destruction! They are looking for the cocoon of destruction! We got to get out of here now!"

"Right!" Dusk struggled against the vines but they held them strong. "Nyghhh...these...vines...won't...budge" he struggled against them.

"Maybe we can use iron tail on the vines to cut through" Lightning replied.

"It's worth a shot, let me try with you as well" Dusk replied to her.

Lightning used iron tail and moved her tail against the vines. They got loose enough that they could wiggle through. They were free, at last! "Now let's go find them before they awaken Yveltal and destroy the world!" Lightning replied.

"Right..." Dusk looked around. "Umm...where is the exit...?"

"Over there" Lightning replied, pointing to a small gap where the sun shined through.

"Good eye, Lightning" Dusk said to her, "now let's hurry out of here!"

"I just hope we aren't too late" he said fearfully.

"Yeah" Lightning replied worriedly and followed Dusk out of the lair. They walked through the forest. "I wonder where we are..."

"Yeah, this place doesn't look familiar to me" Lightning replied.

Dusk looked up as he sees it's already dusk. "Oh boy...we've been out for a pretty long time too..."
