Train Ride and Quiditch

A week later, and all the students from Hogwarts boarded the train again. It was Saturday, and everyone was making their way to the platform. Since no one, except for the small group, left Hogwarts, everyone's things were still in their dorms. The only people who had things to bring to school were Harry and Draco; Harry because he was moving into other quarters, and Draco because he was moving into the quarters with him. Harry, Draco, and Hermione said goodbye to the Weasleys, and they all, plus Ron, went to look for the compartment Neville saved them.

Everyone was wearing muggle clothes, but Harry wore his teaching robes. They finally got to the compartment Neville had saved them.

"Hey Neville!" Harry said excitedly.

"Hey Harry! Good to see you. Nice robes." Neville complemented.

"Thanks." Harry blushed.

"What did you two do in the Ministry?" Hermione asked laughing. "They're a mess, and the Daily Prophet said you 'Brought The Court To Their Senses'." She giggled.

Draco laughed. "Harry and I were just venting our anger towards Fudge, and his right hand took it further! In a matter of 5 minutes, we impeached and detained the Minister, and we got all the horrible restrictions off of magical creatures!" Draco exclaimed.

"So what house are you going to stay in? Grifindor or Slytherin?" Ron asked.

"Actually, Harry and I are sharing his living quarters." Draco said excitedly. He flashed a smile at Harry.

"That's great. But you can't be late to your classes." Hermione told Draco.

"Yes, ma'am." Draco teased Hermione, and he saluted her.

The rest of the train ride was filled with laugher and banter.

"We should start getting dressed." Hermione pointed out.

"Yeah, I should start heading towards the teachers compartment as well." Harry said.

"You aren't going to forget about us, right?" Ron wagged his finger. Harry chuckled.

"I will go to Hogsmeade with you all at least once a week, and I'll spend time with you after classes if I can. More times if I can get all my work finished early." Harry promised. Harry and Draco shared one last kiss, and Harry departed to the teachers compartment.

When he got there, it looked like a substantially bigger compartment, with refreshments on the wall.

"Ah, there you are Harry. Everyone, I would like you to meet our new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Harry Potter." Minerva introduced to everyone. "I would like you to meet Cassia Vixen, the new potions teacher, and Rune Void, our new divination teacher." Minerva introduced. Harry held his hand out, and greeted the two. Mrs. Vixen was a black haired lady, with brown eyes, and a slender frame. She looked a little younger than middle-aged, and she wore black dress robes. Mr. Void on the other hand, was a much younger man. He had blonde hair, blue eyes, and had a fit frame. He wore dark blue robes.

"Nice to meet you, Mrs. Vixen." Harry greeted. He turned to Rune.

"And nice to meet you, Mr. Void." Harry shook Rune's hand

"Good to see you well, Mr. Potter. You gave us all quite the scare." Mr. Void chuckled. Harry blushed.

"Well it gave me quite the scare as well. I wasn't expecting things to turn out the way they did." Harry chuckled. He seemed nice enough. Hopefully he's a legitimate seer.

"I was wondering, how did you do it?" Mrs. Vixen spoke up. "No ones comes back from the dead, but you did."

Harry was about to speak, but Mr. Void beat him.

"Its my understanding that Mr. Potter had a little help from the other side. Did Albus meet you when you died?" Mr. Void asked. Harry was astonished that he could say that. Harry didn't tell anyone about his occurrence.

"You are completely correct, Mr. Void. He said it wasn't my time." Harry said with a weak smile.

Mr. Void's face turned into a look of remorse.

"Did all those horrible things actually happen each summer?" He asked. Harry looked at him shocked.

"You know?" Harry asked, disbelief written all over his face. Mr. Void nodded. He then stood up from his seat, and hugged Harry.

"No one should have to live like that. Albus really regrets what he did to you, and made you go through. He said that when he died, he was forced to reflect on every decision he's ever made, and that he regrets every decision partially." he said.

"How come partially?" Harry asked curiously. He let go from the hug.

"Because he now knows that the reason why you and Draco got together was because you both needed a reason to help the other. And he regretfully gave Draco that very reason. You two might not have progressed the way you have if you didn't live with the Dursleys." He added.

"If I may ask, how do you know all this information?"

"I am not just a seer, I can occasionally connect with the dead if they reach out to me. Albus wanted me to give you that message." Everyone looked at the two in disbelief.

"I think we should get off the train. I can't wait for the roasted chicken and potatoes." Mr. Void said cheerfully. A minute later, the teacher filled into a personal floo in the compartment, and they were transported to the dinning hall.

"The Head Boy and Girl are taking the students in, so let's just sit and wait." Minerva said nervously as they sat in their seats. Harry gave Hagrid a quick hug and greeting before sitting down. Minerva sat in the middle, while Harry sat on her right, and Mrs. Vixen sat at her left. Harry squeezed Minerva's hand.

"Don't worry. You will do fantastic." Harry comforted. Minerva placed her hand on Harry's hand and thanked him. Harry pulled back when all the students started piling into the dinning hall. Everything looked and felt like how it did before the attack. When everyone sat down, Minerva stood up.

"Hello students, and welcome back everyone. Before I go any further, I would like to introduce our three new teachers. Our new potions teacher, Professor Cassia Vixen. She will also be the new head of house of Slytherin." Cassia stood up. "Our new divination teacher, Professor Rune Void." Rune nodded. "And our new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Harry Potter. Professor Potter is also going to be the new head of Grifindor." Everyone cheered at the names. Minerva continued.

"We have decided to shorten your Christmas Break, as we have stated in the letter, so you have three days. We are also going to shorten your Summer Break by one week. The next school year will still start on its usual date. Now for some other news. Tomorrow, we are holding the unveiling of the memorial in the courtyard for those who perished in the Finale Battle against evil. On Monday, classes will resume as per usual. And we are still going to hold the annual house cup at the end of the term, so Quiditch captains should meet with their house heads about setting up Quiditch practices." Minerva said nervously.

"Now, let the feast begin." She finished. Then everyone started to dig into their meal.

"Did I do ok?" Minerva whispered to Harry.

"You did fantastic, as I said you will." Harry smiled back.

"By the way, Harry. I couldn't find a Transfiguration teacher in time, so I'm going to have to play both roles this year. Do you think you could help me in the future if I need it?" Minerva asked hopefully.

"Of course. I'd be honored to help out in any way." Harry assured.

They continued their feasts with fervor. And when everyone was done, the house prefects escorted everyone back to their dorms. Draco went with them to go and retrieve the belongings he left behind, before saying goodbye and goodnight to everyone. Draco then started walking to the Defense classroom, where Harry would be.

Sure enough, when Draco walked upstairs, he was greet by Harry jumping into his arms, and giving him a kiss on the lips.

"Well hello to you, too, Harry. Or should I say Professor Potter." Draco teased affectionately. Harry got out of his arms.

"I think we had enough years calling each other our last name. Just stick to Harry when you aren't in my class." Harry said.

"So where should I put my stuff?" Draco asked. Harry pointed his wand to a dresser, and the drawers flew open. Draco took the hint, and started placing his clothes into the dresser. Then he started undressing from his robes, and so did Harry. The room was a bit warm, so they ended up sleeping in boxers and tee shirts.

"I love you, Draco." Harry whispered tiredly.

"I love you, too, Harry." Draco repeated. They each feel into a peaceful sleep, curled around each other.

The next morning, Harry and Draco woke up early, and headed down to breakfast. Harry had already asked Minerva if it was ok to eat breakfast with his friends, and she said yes. So Harry and Draco made their way to the Dinning Hall; Harry wearing dark green robes, with slits in the back, and Draco wearing his Grifindor robes, with slits in the back as well. When they got there, they saw Hermione, Ron, and Neville sitting together, talking. At least, Hermione and Neville were talking. Ron was too invested in his food to speak.

"Hey guys!" Harry cheered as him and Draco sat down. They all sat and ate, throwing banter around as if it were air. Minerva made an announcement halfway through, saying that the memorial was going to start at 1pm. When breakfast was finished, Harry stood up.

"Sorry, but I have to go and take a test for Minerva. If you want to hang out later, just go to my classroom. I should be there soon." Harry said before getting up from the table, and making his way to the headmasters office.

When Harry got there, he started on his test immediately. It was so easy. Harry already new all the material, and he walked out of the office confidently. When Harry got back to his office, Ron, Hermione, and Draco were sitting on the desks, talking happily.

"Hey." Harry greeted.

"Hey Harry. How did your test go?" Ron asked.

"It was really easy." Harry replied with a smile.

"That's great. Did you get to meet the new teachers?" Hermione asked. Harry sat down on his desk top.

"I did. I don't know much about Mrs. Vixen, but I do know that Mr. Void is a legitimate seer and medium." Harry said.

"How do you know he's the real deal?" Draco asked.

Harry sighed. "He knew about what happened every summer, and he knew what happened when I 'died.' He gave me the same message Albus gave me." Harry said casually. Everyone looked shocked.

"So he knew about the Dursleys." Hermione said with sad undertone. Harry nodded.

"What did you see when you died?" Ron asked. Harry sighed again.

"It was weird. I was at Kings Cross Station, but everything was pure white and bright. Then Dumbledore met me, and he apologized for everything he made me go through, then he said it wasn't my time to go. Then everything went black, and I woke up in the courtyard." Harry explained.

"That's wicked." Ron said astonished.

"Well at least Dumbledore acknowledged that he made some mistakes." Draco added. For the next 4 hours, the group talked about everything and nothing. It turned 1pm, when Minerva announced for everyone to head to the courtyard for the ceremony. When everyone was outside, Harry separated from the group, and walked over to Minerva. There was one news reporter there, and he flashed a couple pictures.

"Thank you all for coming. Today, we honor all those who died here in the name of freedom. This memorial will be a reminder of what we lost, but also, what we gained. We may have lost fellow students and Professors, but we gained freedom from an evil enemy. They essentially died for us to  freely learn and believe whatever we want." Minerva finished. She cued for Harry to pull the cloth off of the monument. Flashes of the camera were heard.

The stone was the shape of a rectangular pillar, and on the top, was a golden statue of a Phoenix soaring through the air. It read;

In Memory of Those who died on October 1, 1998 At the Finale Battle in Hogwarts.

Just then, for flare, Fawkes burst out of the ashes, and he soared over the crowd.

"In memory of those who died for us on that fateful day." Minerva added. Everyone sat there in silence for a minute.

"Thank you for joining us today, you may now head back to whatever is was that you were doing." Harry dismissed. When everyone started leaving, Fawkes flew to Harry, and landed on his shoulder. Harry, Draco, Hermione, and Ron walked back to the classroom. Fawkes immediately flew off of Harry's shoulder, and perched onto the roost next to Harry's desk.

"That was a good thing you did for them." Draco said as he pulled Harry into a kiss.

"You did that?" Ron said.

"Yeah. I wanted there to be a memorial for everyone." Harry said sheepishly.

"Well that was very good of you." Hermione praised.

"Thanks." Harry smiled weakly.

Harry looked outside, and thought for a moment.

"Do you want to do some flying?" Harry suggested. "The weather is nice out. We should go outside. I bet we won't be the only one's out on a day like this."

Everyone let out different forms of agreement. Harry ran upstairs and got his broom. He grabbed another item, then grabbed Draco's broom, and ran back down to his friends. Harry handed Draco his broom, and they all set out to the Quiditch pitch.

When Ron got there, he picked his broom out of the storage lockers, and grabbed Hermione a school broom.

"You think you can fly on a broom?" Ron asked, concerned for Hermione.

"I should be fine. I know the theory behind it." Hermione said. She then mounted her broom, and took flight. Everyone watched from below as she slowly tested out the broom. She was a bit shaky, but not horrible. Everyone else mounted their brooms, and they went for a ride around the grounds, and above the Forbidden Forest. After an hour, they traveled back to the Quiditch pitch. It looked like a couple people were setting up a game. When they touched down, a Hufflepuff ran over to them.

"Hey! Do you want to join us?" The Hufflepuff asked excitedly. Everyone nodded their heads, but Hermione shook her head.

"I think I'll just watch." Hermione politely declined. Everyone then made their way to the center of the pitch.

Harry played seeker on his team, with Ron as one of the Keepers, a  couple Ravenclaws as Chasers, and two Hufflepuffs as the Beaters. Against them, Draco played seeker, a group of Slytherin played Keeper, a couple Hufflepuffs and one Grifindor played Chasers, and two Ravenclaws played as Beaters. It was getting dark when Harry's team ended up wining in the end. Every cheered, and made their way to the ground, even Draco. But Harry soared higher into the air. He whistled loudly to get everyone's attention, specifically Draco's

Harry then jumped off his broom as it disappeared, and hopped onto the message broom that Fred and George got for his birthday. Harry whispered a special phrase, and the broom started releasing sparks into the air, spelling out his words. Draco watched in excitement as the message started to spell out.

W... I... L... L... Y... O... U... M... A... R... R... Y... M... E... D... R... A...C...O... ?

Everyone gasped as they read it. Harry flew down on the ground, dropped his broom, and then dropped down onto one knee. He held out his mothers engagement ring in a box. Draco walked forward, joyful tears coming from his eyes.

"Draco Black, will you make me the happiest wizard in the world, and become my husband?" Harry said, tears falling from his face.

Draco furiously nodded his head. "Yes!" He exclaimed. Him and Harry grabbed onto each other, and gave each other a big kiss. Before they knew it, they were flying up in the air, still embracing and kissing each other. Harry slipped the ring onto Draco. Everyone cheered, and Hermione ran down from the stands. Draco and Harry carefully dropped back down, and they disappeared their wings. They heard many words of congratulations.

"Congratulations!" Hermione exclaimed, smiling.

"Congrats!" Ron said, as he patted them on the back.

It was getting close to curfew, so everyone headed back to their dorms for the night. Harry and Draco said goodnight to their friends, and they headed to their quarters.

As soon as Harry closed their door, Draco started kissing Harry. It was slow at first, but then it grew in scale, and Draco and Harry were now quickly unbuttoning the other's shirts. Draco stripped Harry's robes off, and Harry pulled Draco's sweater off. They made their way to the bed, only breaking their kiss so Harry could put a quick silencing ward on the room. Harry and Draco then pulled their pants off, and kept kissing each other senseless. They gave each other hikeys on the other's neck and collar bone. They both dropped down onto their bed, and continued, and the whole night was full of pleasure for the both of them. At around midnight, they fell into a deep, peaceful, happy sleep.
