Running.
This is what you have been doing for the past fifteen minutes, taking only small breaks to hide, and get away.
You hide in a nearby alleyway in the underground district, trying to get away from the men that were chasing you.
'I can't let these people catch me.' You think desperately as you clutch your side, trying to stem the bleeding coming from your side.
"Shit." You mutter under your breath, as you continue to run.
You find a small stairway, leading to a door.
You quickly run up it, before pounding onto the door, with all the strength you have.
'Please answer.' You plead as you continue to pound on the door.
Finally the door opens, you see a short man with raven locks.
"Help...me." Was all the words you could muster before the world around you turns dark.
____________Levi's POV____________
I hear frantic pounding on the door.
I turn towards Isabel and Farlan, and they nod at me, understanding what to do.
Isabel and Farlan stand on one side of the door, as I throw the door open, only to reveal a small girl, probably in her mid twenties clutching at her side.
She looks up at me, before mutter "Help...me."
That was all she said before collapsing to the ground.
I stare blankly at the girl laying on the floor.
I saw Isabel and Farlan run over to the girl, carefully laying her on her back.
"What should we do?" I hear Isabel ask.
"Tch, help her." I say as I walk towards the small bathroom, and grab a few bandages.
Once back in the living room, I see that Farlan is pressing a cloth to the wound on her side.
"Step aside." I say emotionlessly as I walk up to the girl.
On closer examination, I see that her clothes are in tatters, her (H/L) (H/C) hair is a mess.
'Tch, such a mess.' I think as I stare at the puddle of blood on the floor.
I carefully wrap the bandages around the wound, before standing, and grabbing a wet rag to clean the blood off the floor.
____________Your POV_____________
You felt a small pain in you side as you open you (E/C) eyes.
You look around, and find yourself on a couch.
But, as you went to get up, you wince at the sudden shock of pain.
"Oi, stop moving, your going to reopen those wounds." An emotionless voice says.
You eyes widen, before snapping your gaze to the man with raven hair.
You simply stare at him, blinking, before asking.
"Who are you?"
"Tch, shouldn't I be asking you that?" He hisses.
Your eyes widen a bit, before you clumsily got up.
"S-Sorry, my names (F/N) (L/N)." You say as you stand.
"Tch, dumbass, sit down." He hisses, and you obediently follow his orders.
"Sorry!" You shout.
"Stop apologizing." He hisses.
"Sorry." You say, and your eyes widen a bit.
"Sorry!" You shout again, realizing that you made the same mistake.
But, before you could say anything else, a hand covered your mouth.
"Say sorry one more time, and I'm cutting your tounge out." The man hisses and you nod your head frantically.
"So, how did you get that wound." He asks, pointing at the wound on your side.
"I-I was getting away from a few men who were chasing me. Luckily I lost them, before I came here." You say hastily.
The man doesn't say anything, but just stares at you.
"U-Um, may I ask what your name is?" You ask a bit nervously.
"Levi." He states bluntly.
Your face brightens up, as you say "Levi, I like that name."
As you said this, you tilted your head to the side, as you gave him a close eyed smile.
You saw Levi raise an eyebrow, as he asks "Why do you like my name?"
"Oh, that's simple, if you rearrange some of the letters, it spells 'live', which is why I like the name." You explain, as you continued to smile.
As Levi went to open his mouth to speak, you heard the door open.
You turn your head to the side, and saw a man with sandy-blond hair, and a girl with red hair.
"Oh, your awake." The sandy-blond haired guy said.
"Uh, y-yes!" You stutter nervously.
The girl ran up to you, causing you to jump a bit, as she grabs both of your hands with hers.
"How's your wounds!?" She asks in a overly hyper attitude.
"U-Um, they're fine, nothing you guys should worry about." You reassured.
"But, it seemed pretty deep." The sandy-blond haired guy said.
"I-I'm fine, really, um-" You try and think of a name for the man.
"Farlan, and that's Isabel." The one now known as 'Farlan' says, as he points to the girl.
"I-Its a pleasure to meet you, I'm (F/N) (L/N)." You say.
Farlan chuckles as he says "You don't need to be so nervous."
You blush a bit in embarrassment, as you say "S-Sorry, but I'm not really used to people."
They all stare at you as you say this.
"W-What?" You stutter.
"What do you mean by that?" Isabel asks.
"U-Um, well, I guess you can say I'm a bit......unique." You say a bit sadly.
You saw Levi raise an eyebrow, as he asks "Now what makes you so unique?"
You heart practically stops, as you break out into a cold sweat.
"W-Well, you probably won't believe me, even if I told you." You mutter, as you look down.
"Tch, then show us, idiot." He says emotionlessly.
Your head snaps up, as you shout "N-No!"
They seem a bit startled, as you realize what you did.
"S-Sorry, but if I do show you, you'll probably be scared of me then." You mutter, as you lower your head, so that your staring at your feet.
"Tch, it takes a lot to frighten us." Levi states.
Your eyes widen as you stare at the raven haired man.
Your eyes return to their original state, as you say "Fine, I guess I can trust you guys, considering you did save my life. So how about I make some food." You state as you get up.
"Tch, I thought you would show us your unique ability?" Levi hisses.
"I am." You state casually, as you go to the small table.
"Do you have a large cloth, like a bed sheet or something about that size?" You ask.
"Yeah, hold on." Farlan states as he walks into one of the rooms, and comes back out with a large white sheet.
He hands it to you, and you spread it open, as you throw it across the table.
Once the table is fully covered by the sheet, you start chanting under you breath, and once you were done, you pull the sheet back, revealing four steaming hot meals.
"Ta da." You say a bit nervously as you scratch the back of your head.
"What the hell!" Farlan shouts.
They all stare at you wide eyes, as you explain.
"I am what you would call a mage. You see, mages have the ability to use magic." You explain, looking down dejectedly.
"Told you that you would be scared of me, most people are." You mutter.
You then hear the patter of feet along the wood floors, you look up to see Isabel's big green eyes staring at you.
"That's so amazing!" She shouts.
You blush a bit, as you take a step back.
"I have to admit, you really are unique." Farlan states as he walks towards the food.
"Is it edible?" He questions.
You nod your head slightly, as you watch him take a bite of food.
"It's delicious!" He exclaims as he takes another bit of food.
You then saw Isabel walk over and take a bite of food as well.
"Wow! It really is delicious!" She shouts as she starts to shovel food into her mouth.
You look back towards Levi, but he has no emotions showing on his face.
"U-Um, your more then welcomed to eat." You say as you step to the side, showing the plates of food.
"Tch, how do we know you didn't do anything to them?" He hisses dangerously low.
"Why...would I do that? You did save my life, that means I should be repaying you, right?" You ask as you tilt your head to the side innocently.
Levi just clicked his tounge, as he still stands where he was.
You let out a small sigh of disappointment, as you walk to the table and took one of the plates, and began eating.
After swallowing your mouthful of food, you say "Believe me now?"
Levi just clicks his tounge once more, as he also walks over, and hesitantly began to eat.
You smile happily, as he continues to take a bite of food.
After everybody was done eating, you sat quietly on the couch.
"Um." You say hesitantly.
"What is it?" Farlan asks.
"U-Uh, I-I need to go." You say as you stand up.
"What!? Why!? Aren't you still hurt!?" Isabel shouts.
"I-I can heal myself." You say as you place your hand on your wound, and began chanting, after you were done chanting, you removed the bandages, revealing that there was no wound.
"Besides, i-if I stay here, you guys will be in danger, remember I was being chased." You remind them.
"Eh, is that the only reason your leaving?" Farlan asks.
You nod your head, before heading towards the door, but as you went to open it, but a hand caused the door to be forced shut.
You follow the hand to see who it belonged to, and saw that it was Levi.
"W-What!?" You ask.
"Tch, if you go wouldn't you be in more danger then staying here?" He asks, still showing no emotions on his face.
"Y-Yes, but its better if I'm hurt then you!" You raise your voice just a bit, but not to where you were shouting.
"Tch, if you think some assholes could easily take us down, then your fucking insane." He says with irritation lacing his words.
Your eyes widen a bit, as the other two join in.
"Yeah, we aren't weak, we can easily take 'em down!" Isabel shouts as she brings up a fist, as her other hand goes on her forearm, as if to brag about her muscles.
"Yeah, so why not stay here?" Farlan asks.
You eyes widen even further, as they begin to water up, you lips turning down into a small frown, as tears begin to cascade down your face.
You saw as everyone's eyes widen a bit, as you begin to sob.
"I-Its okay, don't cry!" Isabel shouts frantically.
"T-Thank...y-you!" You hiccupped, as you began to haphazardly wipe away tears.
You then felt a hand on your head, before clumsily stroking it.
Your sobs calmed down a bit, as you looked up, and saw that Levi was the one rubbing your head.
"Tch, don't cry. It makes you look ugly." He states bluntly, as he turns his head to the side.
You choked out a laugh, as tears still fall from your eyes.
But, once it started out as a choked laugh, it soon became a giggle, that turned into a chuckle, that soon blown over to hysterically laughing.
"Tch, what's so funny, brat?" Levi hisses.
"N-Nothing, I'm just happy is all." You state, as you wipe away a stray tear from your eye.
"Tch, whatever. The only way your allowed to stay is if you fucking clean." Levi states harshly, before walking away, and into a nearby room.
Your smile widens, as you shout out "Thank you!"
-----------------Time Skip-----------------
It has been three years, since you, Levi, Farlan, and Isabel met.
Levi decided to teach you the arts of the 3DMG. Which, you easily mastered, after getting the hang of balancing on it, not to mention that your bonds with Farlan and Isabel had gotten stronger during this time period. Levi, however, was a different story. You seem to have a small crush on him, and his feeling towards you is unknown, thanks to the emotionless face he continually has on his face.
However, today, was a different day then usual.
The reason being is that you, along with the other three, were out stealing.
You explained to Levi that if you used up too much magic, it could become deadly, and life threatening to you.
Which caused Levi to become a bit worried, though he would never admit that, and told you to only use magic only at a limited time, while the rest of the time, they could easily steal food, which you would help out with.
But, the reason why today was a bit different, was mainly due to the fact that today was the day the plan was to come to action.
You see, a few days ago, you, Levi, Isabel, and Farlan met this man who would give you passes to the above ground, only if you were to kill Erwin Smith, and grab a document from him.
But, back to the present, you noticed cloaked figures chasing after the four of you.
"Levi!" You called out.
He looked at you from the corner of his eye, showing you that he was listening.
"They're from the Survey Corps." You say, and he nods.
"Isabel, Farlan!" He shouts, and they both go in different directions.
"Good luck." You mutter, as you go into the next alleyway, splitting away from Levi, but you could've sworn, that for a split second, he had a small smirk on his face.
But, you brush it off, when you heard someone following behind you.
You look, and saw that it was a male, but it was hard to tell what kind of facial features he had, thanks to the hood that covered the face.
You click you tounge, as you go faster down the alleyways.
____________Levi's POV____________
I was currently fighting a man with blond hair, and bushy eyebrows.
"Stop! Look around you!" He suddenly shouts, as we both had each other in a tight hold.
I look over my shoulder, and saw that Isabel and Farlan were already caught, but I saw no sign of (F/N).
When I noticed that, I saw a large blast of smoke come from a distance away from us.
But, I soon spot a figure with the green cloak.
But, his cloak was charred, and burnt, and his face didn't look any better.
His eyebrows were nearly burnt off, as his face was covered in black soot.
"What happened?" Eyebrows asked.
"Tch, ask this bitch." he growled as he threw and almost unconscious (F/N) on the ground.
I look back at eyebrows, and growled as I dropped my knife.
I was soon in handcuffs, with (F/N) beside me, with Farlan and Isabel by her other side.
She seemed more conscious then before, as she kneels beside me.
"My name is Erwin Smith. What's your name?" He asks, but no one says anything.
"Who taught you to use these?" He asks as he hold up one of out 3DMG.
But, once more no one says anything.
"Very well." Erwin says as he motions for the man behind me, and he grabs my hair, and slams my face in the sewer puddle that was in front of me.
I turn my head, as I glare at the man, but he soon loses his grip on me.
I look at the man behind me, and saw small sparks of what looked to be miniature lightning surrounding his hand.
I look towards (F/N), and saw her muttering things under her breath.
I see Erwin looking at her.
"What are you doing?" He asks as he kneels in front of (F/N), but she doesn't say anything.
"Precisely, what are you. I heard about you, but I thought it was just a rumour. A woman with (H/C) hair doing things that defy logic." He states, but (F/N) still doesn't say anything.
Erwin sighs, as he stands up.
"If the both of you don't say anything, your two friends over there won't get away without a scratch." He says, as each person behind Isabel and Farlan, hold up their blades to their throat.
I saw (F/N)'s eyes widen, as her breathing hitches.
She then hangs her head in defeat.
"My name...is (F/N) (L/N), and I am a mage. A being who has the ability to use magic." She states emotionlessly.
I glare at Erwin as I state "Levi."
"How did you learn the 3DMG?" Erwin asks.
"We're self taught. We needed a way to survive in a hell like this. Unlike you, who live in the light of the sun!" Farlan spits.
"I have a proposition then." Erwin states.
"You join the survey corps." He states.
"And if we don't?" I hear (F/N) ask.
"Then you, and your friends will be taken away by the MPs, and Ime sure they won't be treating you too nicely." He states.
"So choose." Erwin says, as he looks down on us.
I click my tounge, as I jerk my head to the side, getting the filthy water out of my face and hair.
"Fine, we'll join the survey corps." I say harshly.
-------------Small Time Skip-------------
We were currently being led to our bunks, by our new squad leader.
____________Your POV_____________
As you were being lead into the small dorm, where you will be sleeping, you saw Levi walk over to one of the bunks.
'Uh oh.' You think as Levi reaches underneath the top bunk, reveiling the filth underneath it.
"Try to keep this place clean, you aren't in the underground district anymore." You hear Flagon say.
"What?" Levi questions, as he turns towards Flagon, glaring at him.
Both Farlan and Isabel watch in horror, as he walks up to Flagon.
You saw Flagon start to sweat as he stutters, "Y-You dare disrespect your superior."
You immediately stepped between the two.
"S-Sorry, we'll keep the place clean." You stutter out.
"Tch, I don't need to hear that from a monster." You flinch, as he spits those words out, before walking away.
You hung you head low, as your hands fall limply to your side, a frown etched into your usually happy expression.
"Tch, you not a monster." Levi states, as he places his hand on top of you head, before clumsily stroking it.
"Yeah, that asshole doesn't even know what he's talking about!" Isabel exclaims.
"Thank you, everyone." You mutter as a small smile appears on your face.
----------------Time Skip------------------
It's been a few weeks since the four of you were brought here, and tomorrow was the day of the expedition, and you and Levi, were currently sitting on the edge of the large building.
"Hey, Levi?" You call out.
"What?" He asks.
"What would happen......if I were to die tomorrow?" You ask, looking at the stars above.
"Tch, you not gonna die." He states stubbornly.
"I know, but I'm just stating this as a 'what if'." You say.
"I don't know." He says emotionlessly, looking away from you.
"If you were to die....I would be very sad." You say, looking at the ground below you.
"Why?" He asks.
You sigh as you mutter "Why wouldn't I be? I mean I do love you."
You eyes widen a bit, as you realize what you said.
"What was that?" Levi asks.
"N-Nothing!?' You stutter out.
"No, you said something, what was it?" Levi asks.
You sigh, as you say "Might as well get this over with, right?"
"What do you mean?" Levi asks.
"I like you!" You shout, as you press your lips tightly together, as your face burns a bright red.
"I see." Was all Levi said.
"Is that i-" before you could continue, you felt something soft touch your lips.
You eyes widen, before melting into the kiss.
"Hey guys!" Isabel shouts, and both of you pull away quickly.
"Uh, was I interrupting something?" She asks innocently.
But, as you said 'no', Levi said 'yes' at the same exact time.
Confusing poor Isabel, but she merely brushes it off, as she sits next to you.
Farlan then appears, and sits next to Isabel.
We converse for a little bit, before we all stay silent.
"I'm glad I put my trust in all of you." You say, as you stare at the stars.
"Yeah, I trust Big Bro, and (F/N)!" Isabel shouts as she leans back, and lets out a laugh.
"Yeah, so do I." Farlan states as he smiles.
"What about you Levi?" You ask.
"Fine, I'll put my trust in you guys." He says smiling.
Your smile widens, not only because of Levi's words, but because you get to finally see him smile.
----------------Time Skip------------------ "We can't see shit in this rain!" You hear Farlan shout.
"Yeah, (F/N), can't you do anything about this?" Isabel shouts.
"No, I can't, I'm not strong enough to deal with weather yet!" You shout.
"It's fine, we'll use this as cover to kill Erwin." Levi states darkly.
"Let me come with you!" You shout.
He only nods, as you and Levi start to head towards Erwin.
You and Levi look back to see that Isabel was waving at you, as Farlan keeps his gaze ahead, before being shrouded by the thick fog.
After a few minutes of riding, you come to a sight that resembled hell itself.
Bodies were strewn about, as well as a few severed limbs here and there.
You see a black flare go off nearby, and look to see half of a man crawling towards you.
"Ti-tan." Was all he said, before falling limply to the ground, dead.
You and Levi turn towards the path that he pointed and saw large hand and foot prints.
You and Levi race down the path, and as you were riding you past a severed arm.
'Please be alright, please be alright.' You chant in your head, but both yours, and Levi's horse had stumbled over a body, causing you and Levi to be thrown off.
But, when you looked up, your eyes widen, before you let out a blood cuddling scream.
Before you, was Isabel's severed head, her green eyes wide, and staring back at you.
You look up to see the beast before you.
It had something in its mouth, but as it looked at you, it spit it out.
You looked, and saw that it was Farlan's upper torso.
You screamed, as tears ran down your face.
But, as fog, once again obscured your vision, you saw that Levi was no longer beside you.
You look back at the titan, and saw him screaming as he slashed every part of flesh that his blades could pierce.
With one final war cry, he slashed the nape of the neck, ending the beast's life.
Levi stood beside you, and in front of Isabel's head, you heard his quiet sobs in the pouring rain.
You tilted your head down, as you clenched your teeth.
"Levi." You said, in a strained voice.
___________Levi's POV_____________
I heard (F/N) call our my name.
I turn my attention towards her, and saw her standing beside me.
"Do you want them back?" She asks, keeping her head tilted so that her (H/C) bangs cover her eyes.
"What?" I asked.
"Do you want you friends back?" She asks.
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"I can bring them back." She states.
"What!?" I yell.
She nods her head.
"What are you waiting for!? Do it!" I shout, as I grab her shoulders roughly.
She opens her mouth to say something else, but it soon snaps shut, as she walks over to the rest of Farlan's body, and carefully picked it up, before gently setting it down beside Isabel's head.
She then gently kneels down, and places one hand on Isabel's head, while the other is placed on Farlan's body.
She begins chanting something, and I see both Isabel and Farlan begin to regenerate their limbs back.
I stare wide eyed, as I see them be brought back to their original state.
Once the glowing disappeared, both Isabel and Farlan had their limbs back.
I quickly scramble up to them, and checked their pulses, while (F/N) stood up, and took a few steps away from them.
My eyes widen even further.
"Hey Levi?" I hear (F/N) call out to me, but for some reason she sounded weak.
I turn towards her, and my eyes wide in horror.
I see (F/N) give my a close eyes smile, as she says "Did I do good?"
But, when she said this, blood started to flow out of her closed eyes, nose, and mouth.
She coughs blood, before falling backwards.
I quickly scramble up, and dash over towards (F/N).
I hastily cradle (F/N) in my arms as I state on in horror.
"Levi." She says weakly, as she lazily tilts her head to the side.
"I can't see you. Where are you?" She asks, and my heart begins to break.
"I'm right here!" I shout as I look over her body, trying to find any physical wounds, only to find none.
"Levi, it hurts." She mutters, as she coughs up more blood.
I hear groaning coming from behind me.
I turn my head, and saw that both Isabel and Farlan were sitting up, grabbing their heads with one hand.
"What happened?" Isabel asks as she turns her head to find me.
"Levi!" She shouts, before scrambling up, and coming towards us.
Her eyes widen, when she sees who's in my arms.
"Wh-What happened!?" She shouts frantically.
"Ti-tan." Was all (F/N) manage to say in between her heavy breathing.
"Farlan!" She shouts as she races back to Farlan, and drags him towards us.
"Do something!" She pleads, as tears start to form in her eyes.
I see Farlan's eyes widen, before looking away.
"I can't." He states, his voice shaking.
"What do you mean you can't!?" Isabel shouts, her voice cracking.
"She's suffering from major internal bleeding. At least that's what it looks like." He says.
"Isabel, Farlan?" (F/N) calls out, barely a whisper.
"I can't see you anything, where are you guys?" She asks, as she looks around, but her once shining (E/C) orbs, are dull.
"We're here!" They both shout.
"Thank you......for everythi-ng." She says, stopping for a second to grunt in pain.
"I-Its no problem, we were so happy to have you around." Isabel says, forcing a half smile.
"Le-vi?" She calls out to me.
"Y-Yeah?" I ask, my own voice cracking.
"I....lo-ve.......you." She says, and that's all she says.
I feel her go limp in my arms, as her dull lifeless eyes, stare into nothing.
My breathing hitches, as I stare as (F/N)'s lifeless body.
I couldn't do anything, as I took in uneven breaths.
"This is.....all my fault." I mutter.
"What was that?" Farlan asks.
"Nothing." I say emotionlessly, and I soon hear the sound of hooves against the dirt.
I look up to see Erwin.
---------------Time Skip-------------------
I agreed to stay in the survey corps, and Isabel, along with Farlan joined me.
I became a Lance Corporal, and both Isabel and Farlan were in my squad, as well as a few other people, not to mention that damn titan shifting brat, Yeager.
But, today was different, it was (F/N)'s death anniversary.
I had permission from Erwin to have the day off, as well as Isabel and Farlan.
All three of us, go behind the old HQ, and head to a large tree, at the base of it. A grave with (F/N)'s full name on it in cursive letters.
We didn't want to burn her body, so we had it buried here
"Hey (F/N)!" Isabel shouts.
"It's been a while hasn't it?" Farlan asks, chuckling a bit.
"Hey, stupid brat." I mutter as I state down at the grave.
"You know, we all miss you." Farlan states.
"Aw, really?" A familiar voice says behind me.
We all turn around, and see (F/N) standing there.
"(F/N)!" Isabel shouts as she races to (F/N) to hug her, but she goes through her, landing face first on the ground.
"Sorry, but I'm not alive, I'm only a ghost, that also means that I don't have much time to talk to you." She says, as she rubs the back of her head nervously.
I click my tounge.
"I see you still have the habit of clicking your tounge Levi." She says, giggling a bit.
I clench my teeth as I try my best not to cry.
"I wanted to tell you guys, that I'll always be watching you, and protecting you guys in my own way. Even if you can't see me, I will always be there. Especially with you Levi." She says giving my the familiar closed eyed smile she would always do.
"Thank you Farlan and Isabel for being my friends, and thank you Levi for loving me." She says as she begins to fade.
"Never forget. I will always love you Levi, and I'll be there whenever you need me." She says, before completely disappearing.
"I love you too, brat." I mutter under my breath, and I felt a warm breeze envelope around me, and I could've sworn that I heard (F/N)'s laugh being carried on by the wind.
I smile as I say, "Let's head back."
Farlan and Isabel smile as they nod their heads, as we begin to head back to the large castle.
All three of us, smiling along the way.
