No PoV

It was a dark night -about 11:15 by the height of the moon- there was no light on the streets except for a few flickering light post, a black haired woman wearing a blue jacket and black pants began walking with haste as she was being followed, after about 5 minutes of walking she turned to a corner only to be trapped in a dead end.

"Finally... nowhere to run now little miss... now why don't you make it easy for us and just come without a fight ya?" A large man said as 5 other guys came into the alley.

The woman was still facing the wall, but she wasn't scared at all, she then grabbed her 'hair' and pulled it off revealing white hair underneath a black wig.

"Sorry fellas, but I already have someone." The 'girl' who was being followed turned out to be our local hero Nate McGarden wearing a female disguise.

"S**t it's the hero guy, RUN!" The leader yelled as they ran back to the entrance.

However their escape was cut off by a man wearing white and gold armour jumping off of a nearby building and landing infront of them blade drawn, this was Cross Knight The villain turned hero and is currently Nate's new partner.

"Sorry... but your days of ravaging innocent girls are over." Cross Knight said.

They then flinched and took a step back, however they heared the distinct sound of steam leaking from behind them as smoke rised, they looked behind and saw Nate in his Gorilla armour walking towards them.

"Great work Cross Knight... now -slams fist together- Lets show these 'boys' how a true gentleman should act." Nate said as he walked towards the men.

"With pleasure." Jaden replied masterfully twirling his blade.

After one hell of a beating

Nate was currently talking to the police while Jaden was behind him hiding like a small child during a family reunion.

"Thanks for helping us catch these creeps Steam Knight and to you to Cross Knight, good job." The police said as he gave them a thumbs up.

"Thank you officer, hey Jay come on say thanks." Nate said as he nudged Jaden.

"Uh uh t-thank you, i-it was a pleasure!" Jaden said as he bowed a 90 degree bow.

"Hahaha! He certainly changed and to think its only been 6 days since that day." The officer said.

Yes it already was 6 days after Cross Knight became Steam Knights official partner, but despite this Cross Knight was still shy and always hide behind Nate, some even commented that Jaden acts more like a sidekick rather than a partner which he happily accepted but Nate said he wasn't looking for a sidekick, he was looking for a partner.

"Ok so it's getting late, you should go to bed soon, you have school tomorrow." Nate said as he patted the slightly smaller boy.

"W-Why do I have to go to school, I'm Doc's assistant, I-I think I can manage not going." Jaden said nervously.

"Jay this isn't about how smart you are, this is about giving you a proper life, you can't just be Jaden the assistant or Jaden the real identity of Cross Knight, you have to be someone YOU can be proud of, so do just that, make friends, enjoy your new life, and most importantly find a girlfriend." Nate said.

"W-WHAT!?" Jaden yelled with a large blush.

"Yeah, I'd hook you up with my sister since you two are the same age but I think thats too much for you right now." Nate said while scratching his head.

"W-What are you saying Nate! I-I'm going home now! SEE YA TOMORROW!" Jaden said with a blush as he rode back to the lab.

Nate then smiled as he looked at his partner.

"Still just a kid inside... I hope people treat him nicely... well Levy's there so at least she can help him out." Nate said as he also rode off back at his home.

The Next day
With Jaden

"Do you have your book ready?" Alicia asked.

"Yes doc." Jaden replied.

"How about your pens and pencils?" She asked ine more time eying her assistant.

"Yes I got it all here, they're all in the pencil case Nate got me." Jaden replied.

"Ok... how about notebooks?" She asked.

"Got em all here doc." Jaden said.

"Ok good, now here is a little spending money ok, go buy some stuff at the mall with your friends when school is over." Alicia said.

"I don't have any friends though doc." Jaden said.

"Yet Jay, not yet." Alicia reassured her assistant as she fixed his collar.

"Doc I don't get it, I have an average IQ of 340 I don't need to go to High school." Jaden said.

"Yeah and I have an average IQ of 450 but I still went to school AND I had fun, listen to me ok, life isn't always about being smart or strong or anything else, its about making friends, and being surrounded by people who care about you." Alicia said.

"You sound like Nate." Jaden remarked.

"I know, now before you go there's something for you in the front, its from Nate." Alicia said.

"From Nate?" Jaden said as he walked out of the lab.

He was then met with a beautiful white and gold Kawasaki Ninja zx6r.

Jaden then slowly approached the bike and saw a letter on top of the gas tank, Jaden carefully picked it up and opened it, he then saw that it was a hand written letter from Nate.

Hey there bud hope you like my gift for you also don't worry I made this bike from the spare parts from my bike, I custom painted everything and asked a... friend to retrofit it with the best stuff, and don't bother returning it to me, I already have a Kawasaki ninja too and my Enduro as a spare, also I Noticed that your bike was in desperate need of a replacement so consider this your new official rider bike, good luck and have fun.

"That boy, well are you gonna give it a go?" Alicia asked.

Jaden simply nodded as he hopped on the bike, placed his white and gold helmet on and placed the key in the ignition, he revved the bike a few times before riding off to school.

At school

Jaden arrived ahead of time and oarked his new bike in the motorcycle parking area, he also placed his helmet on the lockers that were there, after he secured the locker he walked towards the main building to receive his schedule and class.

After walking around for about 3 minutes Jaden finally arrived at the principals office where he was handed his schedule and classes, he then walked towards his class and saw that there was no one there, so he slipped in and saw a desk near the front with a small paper with his name on it indicating it belonged to him.

Jaden then sat quietly as he began fidgeting with his hands, suddenly the door to his class opened to reveal a beautiful white haired girl with sparkling blue eyes, the boy with black hair and red eyes couldn't stop looking at her beauty but knew he had to look away, so he turned his head down and avoided her gaze.

'Oh man oh man oh man! Of all the classes why did it have to be her class, this is so gonna be awkward!" Jaden thought.

Unbeknownst to him the white haired beauty was also staring at him, but for a different reason.

Flashback

"Listen to me Levy, I asked the principal to put Jay in your class, so I want you to try and be his friend, get him to open up." Nate's words rang at her.

"Bro you do realise that he tried to KILL you, right?" Levy said.

"Listen he was being manipulated and controlled, he doesn't even know if his family -his REAL FAMILY- is alive or not, so don't blame the victim ok." Nate said.

"Fine, if you say he is nice then I'll try." Levy said.

Flashback end

'Easier said than done bro, I don't even know what to say to him.' Levy thought as he looked at the boy 2 seats infront of her.

Levy was about to say something to Jaden but was interrupted when a few of her friends walked inside the room and began talking to her.

A few minutes later the class was now complete and the teacher began the class.

"Ok everyone I would like to introduce you to a new student, Mr. Montreal if you may." She said.

Jaden begrudgingly stood up and walked towards the front of the class where he began to introduce himself... although a bit nervously.

"H-Hi... ummm m-my name is Jaden M-Montreal... I-It's nice to meet you all." Jaden said.

"Jaden here scored a perfect 100% in the exam and he did it all in under 30 minutes, I hope you all follow his lead and study, now Ms. McGarden I leave Mr. Montreal in your care." The teacher said.

"Yes maam." Levy replied with a smile.

"Ok now go bacl to your seat Mr. Montreal and lets begin class." The teacher said.

Jaden simply bowed and returned to his seat as hehung his head low.

Break period

It was now their break period and everyone was piling put of the class to head to their different destinations, bit Jaden only sat firmly in his seat as his head hang low, however he saw someone beside him at the corner of his eye, he lifted his head and saw Levy -Nate's younger sister- standing beside him with a smile.

"Hey there, so lets go, I'll take you on a tour of the school." Levy said with a smile.

"U-Ummm o-ok." Jaden said shyly as he stood up and followed the white haired girl.

While they were walking Jaden kept a 1m distance from Levy as she showed him all the places in the school, although Jaden didn't really need to since he managed to memorise the school map already, he just didn't want to be rude, especially to the sister of his personal hero.

"And that's it for the tour, do you have any questions?" Levy asked.

"N-No... t-thank you." Jaden said as he bowed.

Suddenly the bell rang signifying that fhe break is now over and the students should return to class.

"I-I'm sorry you didn't get to eat because of me." Jaden said.

"Thats fine, we still have lunch later and besides I don't usually eat anything at this time of day, I usually just go for strolls around the garden." Levy said with a smile.

"O-Oh ok." Jaden said.

"We should get back to class, come on!" Levy said as she ran towards the boy and held his hand as she dragged him along.

"I noticed you kept a distance away from me, this is just to make sure you don't do that anymore." Levy said as Jaden covered his blushing face as they ran to class.

Unbeknownst to the two of them there were 3 guys looking at them with fire in their eyes as they gritted their teeth in anger.

In Gym class

Currently Jaden's class were currently having their gym class, the boys were doing athletics while the girls were going gymnastics, Jaden was currently under a tree while hugging his knees as he just looked at his class while he waited for his name to be called.

"Ok, next up... hey new kid your up!" The male teacher called.

Jaden then got up and walked towards the teacher.

"Huh... I was expecting... I dunno... more... considering you are Steam Knights partner and all... no offence of course." He said.

"None taken." Jaden said as he walked towards the shot put and threw it.

It then landed with a thud as Jaden managed to throw it... 20 ft away from him... which isn't really that good for someone his age.

"Ummm... is that all?" The coach said as the other guys in his class snickered at his strength, 'Is this really the dude that almost beat Steam Knight? Pathetic.' They all thought.

"Y-Yes." Was all Jaden managed to say as he went back to his spot.

"Well ok, ummm next!" The coach said.

Jaden was now sitting at the bottom of the tree while staring off into space, however someone tapped his shoulder causing him to return to reality, he looked to his side and saw Levy, her hair in a low ponytail and her forehead was covered in sweat from the gymnastics she's been doing.

"Are you ok?" She asked slightly worried.

"Y-Yeah... I'm fine." Jaden replied.

"Can I sit here?" Levy asked.

"S-Sure." Jaden said as he scooted a bit.

"Thanks... so... are you ok... no one is bothering you right?" Levy asked.

"N-No... besides I think they are too scared of me to actually try anything... they still think I'm the same murderer from a few months ago." Jaden said with a sad look in his eyes.

"Well... I don't think that." Levy said.

"Did Nate tell you to say that?" Jaden said as he hugged his knees.

"Yeah... but... after seeing how sad and hurt you looked... I realised something... maybe my brother was right... maybe you aren't the same guy back then, so give yourself a chance since I am giving you that chance as well." Levy said as she stood back up.

Jaden just looked at Levy with a confused look before Levy walked back to the girls.

"Give myself a chance huh... easier said than done." Jaden said.

A few hours later
Lunch break

Jaden was now in the cafeteria of his school where he was sitting alone minding his own business as he ate his bread along with his water, however 3 tall shadows casted over Jaden causing him to look up, he was met with 3 taller guys wearing varsity jackets, al of them were cracking their knuckles.

"... I feel like I saw this on a movie once, the bullies loom over me and tell me to stay away from a beautiful girl or something." Jaden said slightly nervous but trying hard not to show it.

"Glad your on the same page punk, now listen stay the hell away from Levy if you know whats good for you, she's my girl got it." The leader said.

"She doesn't belong to anyone, not me and especially not to you." Jaden said.

The tall guy then grabbed Jaden by his colar and lifted him up.

"Oh yeah! How would you know!?" The guy angrily said.

"Because She isn't just a pretty face you can stamp on, she is a person, she can choose who ever she damn wants... besides Nate would probably beat the ever living daylight out of you if you come near Levy!" Jaden said.

"You prick!" He yelled as he punched Jaden in the face causing him to stagger back.

"Come on fight me! Show us your true nature you murderer!" He yelled.

Jaden looked at the older boy with a glare as he curled his hands into a fist ready to beat the shit out of him, but he remembered what Levy told her earlier.

'Yeah... but... after seeing how sad and hurt you looked... I realised something... maybe my brother was right... maybe you aren't the same guy back then, so give yourself a chance since I am giving you that chance as well.' Levy's words rang into his head as he closed his eyes and calmed down.

"Thats all in the past now... I am here to redeem myself... I don't care what you all think of me... as long as there are people I can save... then I don't care what they label me as." Jaden said confidently.

"So you won't fight?" The leader said.

"No." Jaden said.

"Then this will be no fun." The leader yelled as he threw a punch.

Jaden didn't even move as he was prepared for the beating, however the guys fist stopped a few inches away from Jaden's face, the guy and his 2 other friends along with Jaden looked back and saw a sketched hand grabbed the guys elbow stopping him from hurting Jaden, they followed where the hand came from and saw Levy holding a open sketchbook with a frown on her face.

"Please leave my friend alone." Levy said as she walked closer to him.

"L-Levy my angel, please go out with me!" The man said as he knelt on the ground.

"-sigh- I'm sorry Senior Max but I don't like you, besides big brother already told you to stay away from me, remember?" Levy said.

"Your stupid bro-" He was cut off by Levy slapping him with her sketch and sending him flying off to a nearby wall.

The boy looked up and saw Levy with a horrifying glare.

"Call my brother stupid again and see what happens you low life... now... do me a favor and scram." Levy said.

The boy and the 2 other guys with him ran out of the cafeteria while screaming, Levy then returned to normal as she gave Jaden a smile.

"You ok?" Levy asked.

"Y-Yeah... thank you f-for helping me." Jaden said.

"No problem... Hey it's still luch time, mind if I join you?" Levy asked as she showed Jaden her packed lunch.

"I-I'd be happy to." Jaden said, smiling for the first time.

Time skip end of school

Jaden was currently on his white and gold Kawasaki Ninja ridding towards the gate when all of a sudden he saw Levy standing near the gate looking left and right while looking at her watch, Jaden then decided to stop beside her and ask if she was ok.

"Are you doing ok Levy?" Jaden asked.

After 30 minutes of pestering Jaden during lunch he finally agreed to call her Levy instead of Ms. McGarden.

"Yeah, but my brother hasn't come to pick me up, he is usually on time, I'm just worried about him, I've been calling him for about 10 minutes but he wouldn't answer." Levy said.

"How about I call him, we have a different phone that we contact each other with, maybe that will work." Jaden said.

"Will you? Thanks then, I appreciate it." Levy said.

Jaden took out an old Nokia 6085 and dialed Nate's number.

After about 3 rings Nate finally picked up.

'You Jay whats up, is there an emergency?' Nate asked.

"No, but Levy is here waiting for you, she said she's been calling you, but you wouldn't answer your phone." Jaden said.

'What... oh crud I'm sorry, my phone was on silent and I was too busy taking pictures of the stream and plant life here that I didn't notice the time, oh man, listen Jay can you do me a solid, can you take my sister home, I need to return to the publisher before I get back.' Nate said.

"W-What b-but I-" Jaden said with a blush but was cut off.

'Thanks bud, I owe ya bye!' Nate said as he hung up the phone.

"Hello? HELLO!?" Jaden said.

"Is something wrong Jaden?" Levy asked.

"N-No, Nate is ok, he was just too engrossed in his picture taking that he lost track of time, he told me to send you home." Jaden said.

"O-Oh... ummm... y-you don't have too, I-I can take the bus." Levy said with a slight blush.

"N-No, Nate will kill me if I do, h-here's my helmet, wear it and hop on." Jaden said as he handed her his helmet.

"But what about you?" Levy asked a bit worried.

"Don't worry I'll be ok, I've ridden a motorcycle before, amd besides you don't live that far away, I'll be fine." Jaden said.

Levy nodded with a smile as she hopped on Jaden's bike and hugged him close.

However as soon as she did her face began heating up as a blsuh formed on her face, also unbeknownst to her Jaden was also blushing madly but stayed calm.

""Why am I blushing!?"" Both teen thought.

But before the both of them can continue Jaden decided to ask Levy if she was ready to go.

"Y-You ready?" Jaden said nervously.

"Y-Yeah!" Levy replied as Jaden took her back to her home.

With Nate and Seraphine

Nate closed the flip phone ending his call with Jaden as Seraphine laued her head on his chest.

"Are you playing cupid now Nate?" Seraphine asked.

"Me! No! What made you say that?" Nate said over dramatically as both him and Seraphine were on a bench near the park overlooking a beautiful scene.

"I don't trust that look." Seraphine said.

"Hahaha trust me... those two are perfect for each other." Nate said as he layed his head on Seraphine's head but not before kissing her forehead.
