Meeting the VKs

(Her bedroom^^)

Esmeralda's POV

"Mommy!" I call with enthusiasm and my mom turns her blonde head around. "Did you hear about the exciting news?"

My mother gave me a soft nod and smiled. "I did, Snowflake."

I giggled. "I can't wait to meet the villain kids."

I saw the nervousness in her eyes and she sighs. "I understand you want to meet new people, but be careful these are villains we're talking about."

"So? Just because their parents are villains doesn't mean they are." I reason with her. "Give them a chance."

My mother is very cautious of me due to her belief that I can't control my powers. I am the daughter of Queen Elsa of Arendelle and I inherited her beautiful ice powers. I have full control of my powers and she believes I can't control them at all, but I'm a teenager now and I can handle them. She hasn't seen me use my powers that much, I mainly use it to freeze small objects or food.

I know her story and what happened at Arendelle. My aunt, Anna, tells me the story all the time and I'm absolutely fascinated by it. I don't live in fear like my mother did, I gained the personality of Anna and try my best to stray away from living in fear.

Life is about taking chances and how can do you do that if you're scared of hurting others. You have a higher chance of hurting others if you're too cautious compared to living life and not be cautious at all.

My mother kissed my forehead. "I will, Snowflake, but if they hurt you in anyway..."

I laugh at her and roll my eyes. "You'll send Marshmallow after them."

She smiles softly at me. "That's right."

Living in Auradon, most kids don't have their parents living in the same place as them because they live in the dorms but I'm an exception. She lives in King Adam and Queen Belle's Palace with me because of her worry of me freezing the whole place and she wants me to live with her until she knows I can control my powers which I can control them. Very well actually.

I love my mother, but I wish she would stop worrying about me so much. I'm fine and I'm
not a child anymore.

Despite her living with me, I have my own room. Prince Ben is like my older brother and he isn't scared of my powers at all, he's fascinated by them. Everyone at Auradon isn't scared of me, even Audrey. She had her doubts about me, but she started to like them and now she's a friend. She is swallow and likes to make sure people know she is Ben's girlfriend, but she's nice.

Kind of.

"Can I go with Ben and Audrey to meet them?" I asked my mother with hope in my hazel eyes. "Please?"

"Alright." She agrees and I hug her tightly.

"Thank you, Mommy!"

I kiss her cheek before grabbing my gloves and running out the door.

Their was a huge celebration going on to invite the villains kids. Our band was playing, other kids were cheering and dancing, and overall it was a big deal.

I met up with Ben and Audrey, and Fairy Godmother was here as well, because she is always the one to welcome guests.

When the limo arrived I got excited and I remembered to put my gloves on. I didn't want to but my mother wouldn't be pleased if I didn't follow her orders.

The limo came to a stop and the driver opened the back seat to reveal two boys fighting over something.

"Ow! Stop! You got everything else! Why do you want whatever this is?!" The boy with white hair and had on a red, white, and black outfit yelled at the other boy. Said boy was on the ground trying to obtain the sweater from the older boy's hands.

"Cause you want it!" The other boy argued tugging on the sweater.

The band stopped playing at this and Fairy godmother stepped forward with a welcoming smile.

Ben, Audrey, and I walked forward to interrupt their argument.

"Guys, guys, we have an audience." The girl with the purple hair muttered and they stopped fighting.

"Just cleaning up." The older boy chuckles and pulled his friend up. "Get up!"

"Leave it like you found it!" Godmother sang. "And by that, I mean just just leave it."

The two boys tossed everything back in the limo and I got a good look at the four kids. Two boys and two girls, Ben told me their names and I believe Jay is the older boy, Carlos is the white haired one, Mal has purple hair, and Evie is the blue haired one.

I think I nailed it. I'm smart.

"Hello, foxy." Jay smirked and I saw him looking at Audrey. "The name's Jay."

Audrey gave him a laugh and he smiled at her slyly.

"Welcome to Auradon Prep!" Godmother welcomes, interrupting the awkward moment. "I'm Fairy Godmother, Headmistress."

"The Fairy Godmother?" Mal ask. "As in 'Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo?"

"Bibbidi-Bobbidi. You know it." Godmother remarks with a smile.

"Yeah, I always wondered what it felt like for Cinderella when you just appeared, out of nowhere, with that sparkly wand and warm smile." Mal explains and Godmother gives her a flattered smile. "And sparkling wand."

I rose my eyebrow at this but didn't question it. My eyes wandered to Carlos and I noticed the chocolate all over his mouth. He looked insanely adorable with all the chocolate covering his lips and I felt myself blush a little.

"That was a long time ago. And as I always say, "don't focus on the past or you'll miss the future." Godmother replies.

"It's so good to finally meet you all." Ben says to them. "I'm Ben."

"Prince Benjamin." Audrey corrects. "Soon to he king."

"You had me at prince. My mom's a queen, which makes me a princess." Evie tells them with a soft voice and curtsies.

"The Evil Queen has no royal status here and neither do you." Audrey informs her and I roll my eyes at her.

I wish Audrey acted like a Princess instead of just trying to look like one.

"This is Audrey." Ben introduces.

"Princess Audrey." She corrects. "His girlfriend. Right, Bennyboo?" She grabs his hand and he chuckles before turning to me and I smile.

"This Esmeralda, daughter of Queen Elsa." He introduces and he gently touches my covered hands. "Like her mother, she has ice powers."

"Hi, it's very nice to meet you." I greet and I saw Carlos staring at me. I blush and avert my eyes from him.

"Ben, Audrey, and Esmeralda are going to show you all and I'll see you tomorrow." Godmother tells the kids and she bursts through our arms to the villain kids. "The doors of wisdom are never shut! But the library hours are from 8:00 to 11:00. And as you may have heard, I have a little thing about curfews."

Little? That's an understatement.

Godmother walks off and the band follows her.

Ben walks up to the kids. "It is so, so, so good to finally me-" Jay punched his chest and Ben winces but smiles as Jay smiles. "Meet you all." He paused when he got to Mal and I noticed his stare at her. "This is a momentous occasion, and one that I hope will go down in history." He chuckles, noticing Carlos's mouth. "Is that chocolate? As the day our two peoples began to heal."

"Or the day that you showed four peoples where the bathrooms are." Mal remarks and I giggle.

"A little bit over the top?" Ben asks Mal.

"A little more than a little bit." She replies and they both chuckle.

"Well, so much for my first impression." Ben says.

"Hey! You're Maleficent's daughter, aren't you?" Audrey blurts out to Mal. "Yeah, you know what? I totally do not blame you for your mother trying to kill my parents and stuff. Oh, my mom's Aurora. Sleeping..."

"Beauty!" Mal finishes. "Yeah, I've heard the name. You know, and I totally do not blame your grandparents for inviting everyone in the whole world but my mother to their stupid christening."

"Water under the bridge." Audrey fake smiles.

"Totes!" Mal agrees and they both fake laugh until they sigh.

Water not under the bridge that's for sure.

"Okay! So, how about a tour?" I suggest wanting this awkwardness to leave and Ben agrees.

"Yeah? Auradon prep, originally built over 300 years ago and converted into a high school by my father when he became king." Ben explains as we walk ahead together. We stopped at Adam's statue that stood tall and Ben clapped his hands causing it to transform into the beast.

I jumped when I heard Carlos scream and jump into Jay's arms. I giggle at his reaction and smile.

"Carlos, It's okay." I assure him and Carlos looks at me. "Ben's father wanted his statue to morph from beast to man to remind us that anything is possible."

"Does he shed much?" Mal asks.

"Yeah, mom won't let him on the couch." Ben remarks and she gives him a weird look before we continue on.

Five minutes in and I already ship Mal and Ben better then Ben and Audrey.

We walk inside to where the dorms are

"So you guys have a lot of magic here in Auradon? Like wands and things like that?" Mal asks and we turned to her.

Obviously. I'm literally a walking, breathing magical human.

"Yeah, it exists of course, but It's pretty much retired." Ben says. "Besides Esmeralda, most of us here are just ordinary mortals."

"I don't use my magic that much anywag." I shake my head. "That's why I wear gloves."

Lies. I wear gloves because mommy wants me too.

"Who happened to be queens and kings?" Mal asks Ben.

"That's true. Our royal blood goes back hundreds of years." Audrey informs her, putting Ben's arm around her.

She's obviously jealous right now.

"Doug!" I turn and saw Doug, son of Dopey, walking down the stairs. "Doug, come down." Ben goes up to him. "This is Doug. He's going to help you with your class schedules and show you the rest of the dorms." Ben goes up to the kids, mostly Mal. "I'll see you later, okay? And If there is anything you need, feel free to..."

"Ask Doug." Audrey injects and Mal and her both laugh again until they sigh.

Jealousy.

Ben and Audrey walk away leaving me and Doug.

"See ya." I smile at them and made eye contact with Carlos, I saw him blush lightly and I blushed as well. I walk away after that and go visit my cousin Andy's room.

——

"Hey, Andy!" I greet as I open the door and I see him playing a video game.

"What up, couz?!" He greets, not turning his attention to me which I didn't care about.

"Just got back from introducing the villain kids to Auradon. What about you?"

He paused his video game and put down the remotes. "Were they nice?"

"Nicer then Audrey." I remark and he scoffs.

"Expected." He says and I lean on the table.

"How are things with Jane?" I ask with a cheeky smile.

My cousin has a crush on Jane, Godmother's daughter, and it's so obvious he likes her. Jane is my best friend but Andy begged me not to tell her at all. Jane is insecure about herself and doesn't think she's beautiful, but Andy adores her and wants nothing but happiness for her.

I saw his cheeks turn pink and he scoffs. "What? There is nothing going on with us."

"Yeah, okay, go tell your pink cheeks that." I fire back and he turns away. "Jane is a sweet girl and you never know if she'll like you back if you don't talk to her." He ignores me but I continue to berate him. "Anna found love in a snow covered forest with a man who had no interest in helping her. Kristoff just wanted to sell ice and instead he helped Anna save all of Arendelle."

Andy looks at me with a weird look. "What?"

I sigh and stand straight up. "I'm not making any sense I know, but what I'm saying is. Love can happen anywhere, Andy."

"You really are my long lost sister." He says and I giggle.

Andy always believed that I was Anna's daughter because of my personality, but that wouldn't be possible due to my ice powers.

"She's my aunt so I get my personality from somewhere." I shrug. "And don't act like my mother, I don't want you to be this scared to talk to a shy and sweet girl. Besides, Godmother likes you so you have a better shot."

He rolls his eyes and waves me off. "I'll do it when I want to."

"Fine." I shrug. "You never know if one of the villain boys will snatch her up."

His eyes grow wide and I giggle before I open the door to leaves "See ya."

"Don't say that!"

——

The follow day after school was finished, I was with Ben and Carlos. Carlos has been struggling with tourney and needed some help, so I decided to tag along.

No specific reason. Just because I think Carlos is insanely cute.

I have no shame in liking a villain. He seems like a nice person who's just misunderstood.

We were in the Tourney field and Carlos was on one side while Ben and I stood on the other.

"Okay, Carlos. We're gonna do some sprints!" Ben informs Carlos. "You ready?"

He nods and Ben starts the timer but Carlos was already running. I heard barking and saw Dude, our campus mutt, was chasing him down the field and Carlos was terrified.

Despite the yelling and horror screams from Carlos, he was insanely fast and sprinted passed Ben and I.

"Wow." I mutter and Ben and I look to see Dude chasing Carlos into the forest.

"Carlos?" Ben and I ask and then we realize what was happening. "Carlos!"

We follow Dude and Carlos into the forest and heard him calling our names with fear.

"Ben?! Esmeralda?!"

We found Carlos latched into a tree and Dude was barking at him.

"Dude." I say softly and the dog comes over to me. "Sit."

He sits and Carlos was petrified by the harmless animal.

"Guys, help me!" Carlos pleads. "This thing is a killer! He's gonna chase me down and rip our my throat! This is a vicious, rabid, pack animal!"

I glance at Dude who was panting and smiling at us. I pick up Dude and gave Carlos an odd look.

Vicious? He's viciously adorable.

"Hey, who told you that?" I asked him.

"My mother."

Oh, Cruella. Makes sense.

"Cruella?" Ben asks.

"She's a dog expert. A dog yellerer." Carlos says and he sees that I'm holding Dude. "Why are you holding him?! He's gonna attack you!"

It was sad to see Carlos so scared of an adorable creature. Cruella must be an awful mother to traumatize a boy like that.

"He'll probably attack me with kisses but nothing else." I say and Dude licks my cheek causing me giggle.

"Carlos, you've never actually met a dog, have you?" Ben asks Carlos who was still latched to the tree for dear life.

"Of course not."

"Dude meet Carlos." Ben introduces, petting Dude. "Carlos, this is Dude. He's the campus mutt."

Carlos's body became less tense and he let go of the tree. "He doesn't look like a vicious, rabid pack animal."

"Because he's not." I say and Carlso climbs down the tree. He got closer to Dude and he smiles.

"You're a good boy, aren't you?" Carlos tells Dude before he pets him and I hand him Dude. I let a smile slip out at the sight of Carlos holding Dude. "You're a good boy."

"I guess you guys have it pretty rough on the island?" Ben asks them.

"Yeah." Carlos says. "Let's just say we don't get a lot of belly rubs.

Ben and I smile at that.

"Good boy." Ben pats Carlos' shoulder. "I mean you're a good runner. You're- you're fast, you know?"

I giggle at his words.

"Thank you." Carlso says and continues to look at Dude.

"Yeah." Ben says and he glances at me. "I'm gonna give you guys some space, yeah? You guys get to know each other and just, you know, come find me when you're done, okay? Esmera can stay with you if she wants."

I definitely want too.

"Sure."

"Okay." Carlos.

"See you later." Ben says before walking away.

"See you out there." Carlso says.

"Bye, Ben." I wave.

Carlso and I sit on the log and I ruffle Dude's head.

"Hi. Oh!" Dude licks Carlos's chin and I giggle. "Thank you."

"Isn't he the cutest?" I ask.

I was mainly asking Dude but I wouldn't get a response from him.

"Yeah, he's...adorable." Carlos hesitatingly agrees.

Dude licks my cheek and I kiss his head.

"I've known Dude since he was puppy." I tell Carlos who looks at me. His brown eyes were shimmering and they looked beautiful. "I helped Ben raise him."

I blush a little when I said that and Carlos smiles.

"Well, you did a good job." Carlos tells me and I smile at that.

"Thanks." I lean closer and pet Dude a bit more. I look up and saw Carlos's face was inches from mine, he saw it too and we both blushed.

We stared at each other for a moment until he lets a smile slip.

"You have beautiful eyes."

We both avert our eyes and I blush looking down.

"Uh...sorry...that-"

"No, it's okay." I stop him and look at Carlos, who was red in the face. "Thank you."

Carlos's face returned to his normal skin tone and we both chuckled.

"Anytime."

——

Later, I was with Jane in Mal and Evie's room. Jane's hair was different and she looked great, but I prefer her old hair. Andy loves her hair and I think he's agree with me.

"Mom said 'If a boy can't see the beauty within, then he's not worth it'." Jane rambles and she rolls her eyes. "Can you believe it? What kind of world does she live in?"

"Auradon?" Mal states doodling in her journal.

Jane sits next to me on Evie's bed and pouts. I rub her shoulder and was tempted to tell her about Andy's feelings. I decided against and remained quiet.

"Mal, do you like?" Evie asks her best friend, showing her the dress she just sewed.

"Yeah, it's cute." She glances at it. "It really brings out your eyes."

"I know." Evie smiles before continue to sew it."

"I'll never get a boyfriend." Jane huffs.

"Not with that attitude you won't." I comment and she glared at me for a moment.

"Boyfriends are overrated." Mal says.

"And how would you know, Mal? You've never had one." Evie questions Mal.

I don't need one, but I would like one. I want to cuddle with someone who is not made of snow.

Sorry Olaf.

"It's cause I don't need one, E." Mal remarks. "They're a waste of time."

Evie gasps, "I forgot to do Chad's homework!"

Now, that's not a boyfriend. That's what you call a Chad. A Chad is a user and a player who's self esteem is higher then his own grades and uses smart girls, like Evie, to raise them.

Evie rushes over to her bag. "Oh, no! No, no, no, no!" She sits down at the desk and gets out his homework.

"And that is exactly what I mean." Mal says.

"Yeah, if you're gonna date any guy don't choose Chad." I add on but Evie was too busy with his homework.

Reminds me of Aunt Anna and what happened with Prince Hans. Hopefully that won't happen here.

A knock was heard and I saw Lonnie walk in.

"Hey guys, I'm Lonnie." She greets and Mal and Evie didn't respond. "My mom's Mulan."

Evie dropped the bag on the floor, indicating she wasn't listening.

"No? Anyways, I love what you've done with Jane's hair and I know you hate us, and, well, you're evil." Lonnie explains and Mal smiles. "But do you think you can do mine?"

"Why would I do that for you?" Mal asks her with a cheeky grin.

"I'll pay you fifty dollars." Lonnie offers and this strikes Evie's attention.

"Good answer." Evie says taking the bag of money. "I need to buy more material. Let's see, I'm thinking, we lose the bangs, maybe some layers, and some highlights."

"No, no, I want it cool." Lonnie denies and looks at Mal. "Like Mal's."

"Really? The split ends too?" Evie asks with disbelief and Mal glares at her. Once Evie waves the bag at her, Mal groans and rolls out of the bed. She grabs her spell book and opens it.

"Okay..." She points to the spell. "Beware, forswear, replace the old with cool hair." Mal closes her book and uses her finger to make Lonnie's head go to the right, then left, then up and then down. Mal lifts her head and Lonnie's hair was completely different. Her hair was longer, it was lighter, and it had loose curls at the bottom.

It looked beautiful. I mean Lonnie was already beautiful, but the hair suited her well.

Lonnie walked over to the mirror and we followed her. Lonnie was speechless by her hair.

"I know, I know." Evie sighs. "It looks like a mop on your head. You know what? Let's cut it off, layer it-"

"No, no, no, no, no, no!" Lonnie frantically stops Evie. "I love it!"

"You do?"

"It's just..." Lonnie began and my eyes grow wide when I saw her rip her skirt.

"Now I'm cool." Lonnie smiles and I scoff.

"Like ice." Mal says.

I should've said that. Would've been more cool for an ice princess to say that.

Jane stood in front of the mirror and she rips her dress. I bit my lip, knowing how Godmother will feel about that.

Jane immediately gasps at what she did. "What did I just do? Mom's gonna kill me."

Evie laughs and I giggle.

"I'm not ripping anything." I shake my head and fold my arms. "My mother wouldn't be happy."

——

That night, I went outside and stood at the cliff that viewed the Isle of the Lost. I've never been there but I know it's completely different then how we live here I'm Auradon. Prince Hans lives there and so does my Great Aunt Ingrid.

(Great Aunt is a father or mother's aunt. Elsa and Anna's Aunt is Ingrid)

I never met Ingrid but I was told she was a woman who killed innocent people so she wouldn't be viewed as a monster. People saw her as a monster because she killed others, not because of her powers.

My mother isn't a monster and I'm not either. My mother thinks I can't control my powers that well, but I can and I'm very good at using them. I won't sent off an eternal winter like she did.

Esmeralda:
The snow glows white on the mountain tonight
Not a footprint to be seen
A kingdom of isolation
And it looks like I'm the queen
The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside
Couldn't keep it in, heaven knows I've tried

I looked at my gloves and tugged at the fingers.

Mother always told me
Don't let them in, don't let them see
Be the good girl you always have to be Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know
Well, now they know

I ripped off my gloves and sent a blast of ice at the ground. A jagged like sculpture formed along the cliff.

Let it go, let it go
Can't hold it back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn away and slam the door
I don't care what they're going to say
Let the storm rage on
The cold never bothered me anyway

I sprayed snow around my feet and blow it all away from me. Snow floated down on top of my head and I caught a snowflake in my hand.

It's funny how some distance makes everything seem small
And the fears that once controlled my mother can't get to me at all
It's time to see what I can do
To test the limits and break through
No right, no wrong, no rules for me
I'm free

Let it go, let it go
I am one with the wind and sky
Let it go, let it go
You'll never see me cry
Here I stand and here I stay
Let the storm rage on

My power flurries through the air into the ground
My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around
And one thought crystallizes like an icy blast
I'm never going back, the past is in the past

I used my power to make it snow on top of the area I standing on and I felt the snow hit my nose. It wasn't cold at all.

Let it go
The cold never bothered me anyway
Let it go, let it go
And I'll rise like the break of dawn
Let it go, let it go
That perfect girl is gone
Here I stand in the light of day
Let the storm rage on

The cold never bothered me anyway
