Power Miners
Earthquakes have shook the entire country for days at a time, with no one to tell what was going on at the surface, a team had decided to take their investigations down below. They called themselves the Power Miners, led by Doc Aiza, they tunneled right to the end of the earth's crust to finally uncover the truth about the sudden quakes. "Whoa, it's like there's an entire underground city down here." Rex Stein remarked. "You think we might be able to find life down here? I mean aside from just worms or bugs."
"That is highly improbable, Rex. There isn't enough oxygen for anyone to reside down here, unless this is some sort of highly advanced race that can survive without it." Brian Desroche, or Brains as Rex calls him, informed.
"Well how do you explain these building things around here?"
"Most likely an ancient city that was buried overtime, although how it got this deep below the earth is still a mystery to me."
Duke Arenas, the veteran miner, wanted to get a closer look. "I think I saw something move over there!"
Doc shot up, "something moving? All the way down here? There aren't any other teams drilling this far into the earth's crust."
"Hey if we found something, pictures would be worth millions, right?" Rex got his own drill and a stick of dynamite, then he was on his way to whatever Duke saw.
"Rex, wait up!" The rest of the team gathered their equipment before rushing to catch up. "Wait, shouldn't one of us stay behind in case something happens to our vehicle?" Brains asked.
"No, splitting up is the last thing we should do in an unknown area. Besides, we require your knowledge of the earth, Duke's strength and my leadership skills to find Rex. If he's lost we won't have anyone to repair our equipment." Doc insisted.
So turning on their headlamps, the trio took their first step into the underground caves. Rex could be heard closeby, followed by loud footsteps and an unfamiliar cackling. It didn't sound human, but that was impossible. "Hey guys! You'll never guess what I managed to find!" The mechanic exclaimed. "Come on! I guess I did manage to find life down here after all."
This got Brains' attention. "That can't be possible, the pressure down here must be getting to him." As the scientist approached, he bumped against something soft and jiggly, or rather someone. "Rex?! What happened to you?!"
Rex just belched, waddling to face his much thinner teammates. His belly was so huge it hung over his waistband like a flabby apron, with a large pair of moobs rolling downwards. His thunder thighs swayed with each step he took, it was almost hypnotic watching him jiggle. Finally his helmet cracked from his double chin and puffy cheeks. "I just touched some gemstone thing and then before you know it I look like a blimp!"
Snickering could be heard from the other caves, followed by crystals being tossed out towards the Power Miners. Rex squeaked as he started to swell even further, his belly now flopping onto his team. Doc would have remarked about him needing a diet if his own belly didn't start swelling as well. He groaned as the cave became a tight squeeze from four fatties bloating together, he grew to the point where his own bloated body was peeking out under the already enormous Rex.
Duke and Brains were puffing up quickly as well, squishing against Doc as they continued to expand. They groaned the more they squished each other, Rex was twice as huge as his team, with how much his teammates were growing he was sent rolling onto his back. "Ack! Um, I'm a little stuck here!" He squeaked, he flailed his flabby, stubby arms as he was helpless on his back.
It didn't take long for Doc to catch up, his outfit straining until it tore right off. He moaned as he belly bumped the mechanic, falling over onto his butt as the crystals kept expanding them. "What is going on? This is like something out of a horror movie!"
"I-I don't know, but I have a feeling it's connected to the earthquakes." Brains yelped. "How will we get back to the surface now?"
"Grrr, I know I'd like to roll over and crush the one responsible for fattening us up!" Duke snapped. "So why don't ya show yourself?!"
Bad idea. Loud footsteps stomped their way, the blobby team flailed some more in an attempt to roll away. A large rock monster stormed right in, covered in green crystals, hissing at the team. "I take it this creature is the leader of whoever lives down here." Brains mumbled. "What do you have to gain from this?"
The monster just roared, followed by smaller rock monsters cackling at the humans' misfortune. "Hey! How about you quit it?!" Doc snapped. Without thinking he thrusted his flabby body right at the largest rock beast. "Uh, I guess I'm still sort of mobile."
Rex used Doc's own arm fat to hoist himself upwards, jiggling uncontrollably as he stood up. Once Duke and Brains were up, they were ready to deal with the rock monsters. They belly bumped the smaller ones out of the way while Doc handled their king, grappling under its arms and tossing it onto his flabby buttcheeks. Then he squished his cheeks together as tight as he could to crumble the giant rock monster. "Well, this is definitely an unorthodox way of dealing with beasts." He joked.
The Power Miners with their newfound girth were able to fend off the monsters. "Ha! I bet now they'll think twice before causing earthquakes!" Rex exclaimed. "Uh, but I think now we're the ones causing them."
There was another issue, how could four 800 pound men fit back on the drill that sent them down? "Uh, I'll call up someone to pull us up. And they'll have to use thick nylon ropes too."
Needless to say, everyone was shocked to find the Power Miners now too fat to take a single waddle without needing to take a break. Although it only made them more irresistible for the public, everyone wanted to give Rex's belly a good squeeze while some would crawl under his flab rolls to curl up and get comfortable. Brains should have been nicknamed Booty from how thicc he got in such a short amount of time, of course he would constantly have to try and get Rex to stop slapping his cheeks just to watch him jiggle like jelly. "You can look but only touch when we're alone, okay?"
Duke was so heavy he now needed a belly wheel to waddle without tumbling into a roll, he used the depowered crystals to build them as any other metal would be immediately crushed under his blubber. Doc finally, despite being the leader, was only the second largest behind Rex. He was going to keep fattening up just so he could show that he's the one in charge, for some reason he just wanted to keep on growing after his experience with the rock monsters. "Did you see how I dealt with that Crystal King? Heh, sounds like the name of a villain of an underwhelming series finale. I just tossed him right over my head! Heh, well if we ever have to deal with anything worse, I think we'll be ready with our girth."
"Oh please, I managed to belly bump ten monsters out of the way while you weren't looking!" Rex retorted.
"And I squished a dozen under my massive rear end." Brains added, giving his own butt a slap. "See? There's your proof right there."
"Ugh, all this talking is making me hungry. Let's waddle to the nearest diner and get some grub." Duke finally piped up.
As they waddled off, that same shadowy figure watched from afar. They took one of the fattening crystals and rushed off without a trace.
