So, it's been forever since I've done a real one shot, and I finally wrote something. It's a bit of an au because I sorta forgot how Zari's tricking the Legends went down until after I finished it. So...eh.

Mick hung back as the Legends headed out, following behind that new chick. This was the first real job he had done since Leonard had...
He shrugged it off. He shouldn't be thinking about the past right now. That's how things got messy.
Still, part of him could imagine Leonard -- and part of him hoped he would -- popping up around the corner, smirk plastered all of his stupid smug face. Probably saying something dumb, like, "Did you really think you could pull off a heist without me?"

Mick scoffed at the thought. No. The truth was, he really didn't think he could pull off a heist without him. Maybe that's why imaginary Leonard had returned for a split second.
Mick rolled his eyes, aggressively shoving the heat gun into its holster. Dumb bastard. He wasn't doing this. He wasn't about to go all soft just because he was a little nostalgic. Nope. He wasn't even going to miss Leonard at all.

He didn't deserve it. Because that's what he got for trying to be a hero and getting himself killed. That's what he got for leading Mick on to this stupid time machine and leaving him stuck with all these hero types and making them both better men. He was such a bastard.
Mick grunted, following the others and shoving the thoughts aside.

And throughout the whole thing he pretended not to see imaginary Leonard, following him around and making snide comments the way Real Leonard use to.

Reminding him to stay sharp and to expect the plan to go south. All that annoying crap Real Leonard did. Whatever. He didn't pay him any attention anyway. Why should he? He'd died.

Maybe if the idiot would have bothered surviving and being real then Mick would have been more inclined to listen to what he had to say.

Still, it almost made it feel like he was there...
