31 | IM AFRAID IM NOT PART OF THE STANDARD

eeeee!! hi, I've been kinda dead in wp for the past days and there's not really a solid reason for that :))

so this cover is an entry for laurie's 3rd contest and our prompts are about phobias. the one assigned to me was that

at first I just thought of doing a ghost in the mirror type of graphic but I thought that was too basic so I researched about that phobia for a bit. from that I found two main reasons of people's fear of mirrors. ONE,, they are self conscious and they see themselves twisted in the mirror and whatnot. TWO,, it's about the paranormal.

between the two, I leaned towards the first one because I also saw that there is another phobia relating to those of ghosts :D

I tried incorporating mirrored imagery through some parts of the typography while her reflection in the mirror appears twisted and that is how she sees herself even if she looks completely normal to show how this fear works for them. I didn't really want this cover to be horror-esque, instead I opted for a sadder vibe that the audience will feel empathy to those suffering from this.

on another topic, TODAY IS JENO'S BIRTHDAY!!

this was a quick edit I whipped up earlier and uploaded on instagram :)) I just decided to put this up here alongside since I've been trying simpler editing styles similar to this aesthetic as I find them really pretty! esp after seeing similar styled edits in instagram ^-^

33 | CREEPING SNAKES TICKLE ME

this was the only edit supposed to be w/ the catoptrophobia cover but the publishing got a bit delayed ^^

this was my first time trying to add tattoos to anyone but it went surprisingly well XD. its not the best (as it is clearly obvious it was plastered on) but it didn't exactly look too out of place either so all in all I think this counts as a good attempt.

I also darkened his lips a bit as I wanted to make it look like a something I saw on instagram and that could use a bit Kore practice :)) I'll do that soon tho!
