Chapter 62

"Draco," I said as I walked into his room.

"Yeah?" he asked, sitting up from his bed.

"I just wanted to tell you I was leaving. Thanks for helping me," I said and he gave me a sad smile.

"No problem. You know that if you ever need me I'm here, right?" he asked.

"Of course...but you're making this harder for me. You keep saying we can hang out or I'm here for you but it just gives me false hope. Let's face it; will you honestly take me back? If you had to make a decision now?" I asked.

"I think I would want to take you back...but I'd have to have a slow recovery," he said carefully.

 "I thought so," I nodded.

"I'm not giving up on us though," he said.

"I love you Draco," I said quietly and he made a move to walk towards me, but I was already apparating back to the Weasley's.

I landed on my feet in the kitchen and Sirius looked at me.

"Hello Leah, how are you feeling?" he asked.

 "So much better," I smiled.

"Brilliant. Did you go to see young Draco?" he asked and I laughed a little.

"Not really...but I did see him," I nodded.

"How'd that go?" he asked in concern.

"Quite good in my opinion," I shrugged, brushing the few tears off my face.

"Well you seem so much happier," he smiled.

"I am," I sighed and Thane walked in, leaning against the door.

"We have to pack for Hogwarts you know," he said and I nodded.

"I know...do you have clothes and such?" I frowned.

"I got some clothes while you were 'asleep' for a few days. The school is providing me with books until next year," he said.

"Alright, well I'll summon my stuff over from the manor," I said, waving my hand as trunks full of clothes and hair supplies laded on the floor.

"We leave tomorrow morning right?" I asked, sitting down.

"Yeah," Potter said, walking in with a look on his face.

"I need to talk to you," he said and I raised my eyebrows.

"Alright," I said, motioning for him to sit.

"Alone," he said, looking at the others and I rolled my eyes, standing up to follow him. He brought me up to a room where this enormous hippogriff stood. I gasped and backed away as it looked at me curiously. I bowed and after a moment it bowed back, which was when I stepped forward.

"This is Buckbeak," he said and I nodded.

 "Hello Buckbeak," I said.

"Listen...not too long ago I had a dream about Mister Weasley. He was guarding some door, and..." he trailed off, running his hands down his face.

"There was a snake, and it felt like you were the snake," I said quietly and he looked at me in shock.

"They told you?" he asked and I shook my head.

"I had the dream too," I said.

 "You did?" he gasped.

"Yes, and I thought I'd killed him; I was terrified," I shuddered.

"So was I, but he's okay in St. Mungo's now. How did you have the same dreams?" he asked.

"I think it's just because Nagini and I are very close. Sometimes we can speak without even using Parstletongue," I lied and he bought it.

"Well, they think that Voldemort possesses me," Potter said, looking out the window. I looked at him waiting for him to say more, but I realized he wanted a reply.

"Oh," I said and he looked over at me.

"Does he...possess me?" he asked and I bit my lip.

"No," I said honestly, "I really don't think so. I mean, I have been out of it lately, so who knows?" I sighed.

"What if he is?" Potter asked, and then paled.

"I shouldn't be telling you all this," he shook his head.

"Do you think my father wouldn't tell me anyway?" I asked and he took a deep breath.

"Ron doesn't even want to be in the same room as me. Alone that is," he said and I gave what I hoped would be a sympathetic look.

"He'll come around," I said and he gave me a slight smile.

 "I hope so," he said.

"Ginny says if my memory isn't blacked out for periods of time, then I haven't been possessed," he said before I could leave.

 "She's right," I nodded.

"Then I'm not the weapon," he muttered and I froze, looking over at him.

"What?" I asked and his eyes moved sideways to look at me.

"Don't you know that Voldemort is looking for a weapon within the Ministry?" he asked.

"He's mentioned it, but I'm not on that mission so I wouldn't know," I lied. Potter thought he was the weapon?  What a self-centered git; I'm the weapon. He needs the prophecies to use against Potter and to ensure my alliance.

"Has he said what it is?" Potter asked and I frowned.

"No, unless I overheard and didn't realize it," I said.

"Alright... if you find out anything, will you tell me?" he asked and I smiled.

"Sure," I lied and he hugged me.

"Thanks so much, Leah," he said.

"So I've seen the younger Weasley's; are Percy, Bill, and Charlie coming?" I asked.

"Percy is in a huge fight with the family. Best not to talk about it," Potter said firmly and I nodded.

"Otherwise, Bill is here but Charlie is working," he said. We started walking down the stairs and I saw Ginny a little way down. I really didn't want to talk to Potter anymore, so I waved.

"Ginny!" I called and Potter groaned.

"FILTH, SCUM! BI-PRODUCTS OF DIRT AND VILENESS! HALF BREEDS, MUTANTS, FREAKS, BEGON FROM THIS PLACE!" a freaking portrait screamed. I covered my ears and glared at the ugly picture.

"Shut up you worthless portrait!" I yelled and she looked at me.

"THE DARK LORDS DAUGHTER IN MY HOME! YOU SHOULD ALL BOW IN HER PRESENCE; HOW DARE YOU BE SO DISRESPECTFUL!" she yelled and I grabbed my wand.

"Shut up or I'll ruin you," I threatened, and her curtains slammed shut.

"I see you've met Sirius's mum," Ginny laughed, walking upstairs.

"Unfortunately," I mumbled, walking downstairs quickly.

"Look what you did," Thane rolled his eyes.

 "Hush," I said coolly.

"We're visiting my father at St. Mungo's, would you like to come?" Ginny asked. Fred, George, and Bill nodded a yes to me and I gave a small laugh.

"Oh, sure," I nodded, and Potter gripped my shoulder meaningfully before walking ahead.

"You alright?" Thane whispered and I nodded.

"You look like you've seen a ghost," he chuckled.

"You'd know all about that," I teased and he smiled.

"Well, shall we?" he asked, gesturing dramatically and I rolled my eyes at him. We walked downstairs and took the car to St. Mungo's. I am thoroughly disgusted. When we finally reached St. Mungo's, we found Arthur in his bed with his half-eaten turkey.

"Are you alright?" Molly asked, and I saw the sheepish look on his face.

"Yes dear," he said a little too quickly.

"Oh hello, Leah...and young man I do not know," he smiled.

"Hello Mr. Weasley," I smiled tightly and Potter looked over at me hesitantly.

"I have something to tell you all," he said and I took a deep breath.

"Leah had the dream too," he said and everyone looked at me.

"You didn't say anything like Harry did?" Molly asked, horrified.

"I was in the insane ward; they wouldn't have believed me," I said quietly.

"Was that when I woke you up?" Thane gasped and I nodded.

"No wonder you were asking for your father," he muttered.

"Why were you asking for your father? You knew he was doing that?" Potter asked.

"I knew it was Nagini...I don't know I thought maybe father was there," I sighed.

"You would've been better off if he was," Thane whispered bitterly.

"Arthur," Molly snapped, breaking up our conversation.

"You've had your bandages changed. Why have you had your bandages changed a day early, Arthur? They told me they wouldn't need doing until tomorrow," she said and I shared a look with Ginny.

"Well, now don't get upset Molly, but Augustus Pye had an idea...he's the Trainee Healer you know, lovely young chap and very interested in...um...complementary medicine... I mean, some of these old muggle remedies...well they're called stitches, Molly, and they work very well on-on muggle wounds," he said and Molly looked enraged. Lupin wandered off to the other patient in the room and Bill went off to get a cup of tea; Fred and George happily joined him. Thane looked over at me as if to say 'what's their problem', and I realized he hadn't seen Molly angry yet.

"Do you mean to tell me, that you have been messing around with muggle remedies?" she asked, her voice getting louder with every word.

"Well Thane, why don't we visit Violet," I said, grabbing his arm and pulling him out. The trio fidgeted as we closed the door and I rolled my eyes.

"The insane ward is on the fifth floor, right?" I asked.

"Yeah, so let's go find it," Thane said and we started walking upstairs.

"So no one wants to be around Molly when she's mad?" he asked and I gave him a look.

"Did she look mad to you? I didn't realize," I said sarcastically and he chuckled.

"This is the third floor right?" he asked as we came to another floor.

"Yes, two more," I said as we made our way to the stairs again.

"Think she misses us?" I asked and Thane shuddered.

"She misses you, but not me. She figured since I talked to you while she was around that we were friends. That's not true, so finally after following me around, I told her off," he shrugged and I pushed his shoulder.

 "You're terrible!" I said.

"I really do not like her," he scowled as we reached the fourth floor.

"I like her," I said and Thane shook his head.

"I don't know why," he said.

"She's fun to be around," I smiled.

"In what world?" he asked and I laughed just as we reached the fifth floor. We walked down the hall and to the rec room where we found Lockhart, the Longbottom's, and Violet.

"Leah!" she yelled, running over and hugging me.

"How are you?" she asked and I smiled.

"I'm good," I said.

"I cannot believe Thane got out," she scowled at him and he gave her a smug smile.

"I hate you," she said and I laughed.

"Oh I missed you," I smiled, shaking my head.

"I missed you too," she smirked and I sat down on the couch, slouching out of Katarina's view as she walked by with Nicole. There's no way I want to see them again.

"Well why are you two here together?" Violet asked, sitting next to me.

"I'm staying with her since my parents aren't ever home. My dad works twenty four seven and my mother travels around the world trying to help homeless and confused muggle born wizards," Thane rolled his eyes.

"I'm not even sure where we live anymore," he shrugged and I gave him a sympathetic look.

 "I didn't know that," I said.

"There was a reason. So what about your mum, I haven't seen her," Thane said and I sighed.

"We're fighting right now...but I think I'm going to go talk to her soon," I said.

"Good, family is important. My mum is dead, but my dad visits me often," Violet smiled.

 "What about Luna?" I asked.

"Most of the time she's in school, but I get to see her sometimes," she said.

"Have you seen her yet? I really want to know how she is," Violet asked excitedly.

"I haven't been back to school yet. Speaking of which, I want to see my baby," I pouted.

"Your baby?" Thane raised his eyebrows at me.

"Hydra, my lovely, beautiful, amazing snake!" I said.

"Oh Jesus she has a snake," Violet muttered and Thane perked up.

"Do I get to see this snake when we go to Hogwarts?" he asked.

 "Yes," I nodded.

"Awesome," he smiled and I laughed.

"Are you two dating?" Violet asked, looking between us curiously and I winced.

 "No," Thane snapped.

"It was only a question," she said in surrender.

"Oh my God it's hot in here," I said and pulled back my hair. I rolled up my sleeves as well and started fanning myself.

"What happened?" Violet gasped, grabbing my wrist.

"Nothing," I said the same time as Thane said, "she and Draco broke up."

"I am so sorry!" Violet said, hugging me tightly. I smiled and hugged her back; my friends are really making me feel a lot better.

"Harry its professor Lockhart!" I heard Granger say and I groaned quietly.

"Don't let them see us," I hissed and Thane chuckled, sliding closer to Violet. I heard them speaking but blocked them out, putting my head in my hands.

 "You're so odd," Violet laughed.

"Leah?" I heard someone ask and I looked up to see Neville.

 "Hi," I said, standing up.

"How are you?" he asked, hugging me.

 "I'm alright," I nodded.

"Are you stuck here?" he asked, looking worried.

"No, I came to visit Violet. Are you here to visit your parents?" I asked softly and he nodded.

"Listen, I'm so sorry about that Neville," I said, half truthfully.

 "Thanks," he nodded.

"Well I've got to go...and could you not tell people about this?" he asked and I nodded.

"Of course," I said and he smiled.

"See you tomorrow," he said, slipping out before the trio saw him.

 "Leah," Granger smiled, walking over.

 "Oh...hello," she said to Violet.

"Hello," she said, raising her eyebrows.

"I'm Hermione," she said, holding her hand out. Violet looked at it distastefully.

"Charmed," she said and I stifled a laugh.

"Hermione this is Violet," I said and she nodded.

"It's nice to meet you," she said as Potter and Weasley walked over.

"Hey," they said to Violet and she looked at Potter.

"You're Harry Potter," she said and he nodded.

"Oh yeah...I am," he nodded. Violet gave him a sweet smile and I looked at her in suspicion.

"So, you say Voldemort's back?" she asked and he nodded slowly, to which she scoffed.

"You're as batty as they say," she sneered and I put up my hand.

"Don't mind her, she's insane," I glared and she gave me a cheeky smile.

"So were you two," she pointed to Thane and me.

"Actually, it was all a mistake since we got out," I said, and we made a face at her. She glared at us and stood up.

"Go, I never wanna see you again!" she joked and we laughed.

"See you Violet!" I said and Thane just strolled out. We went back to Arthur's room where we apparated back to the house.

***

"We are going to miss this damn train," I muttered as we pushed through the people at Kings Cross.

"Where is platform nine and three quarters?" Thane asked as we reached nine and ten. I pushed him forward and pulled him through the wall where we almost ran into an elderly woman.

"Sorry," I snapped as Thane almost tripped over my feet. We brushed off our clothes and I shifted my trunk.

"Okay, this is our lovely train," I said, and Thane almost dropped his cat.

"Will you give him to me?" I said in exasperation and he passed Mort to me. I don't know when he got this cat, but all of a sudden he was petting it the other day.

"Leah," Pansy smiled, walking over. She stopped short and looked at Thane, and then back to me.

"Draco is going to flip," she said, taking us to the side.

"I didn't know he was getting out until he found me, and I wasn't just going to leave him all alone. Thane's my friend," I said and Thane sighed.

"I didn't want to cause trouble, but I mean... she was the only one I could go to for help," he said and Pansy nodded.

"Okay well...welcome to our crew," Pansy smiled and she gave him a hug.

"It's weird to think we added Ariana and Thane within a few days," she said and I nodded.

"It's so not our style," I said and we laughed. Someone passed by and knocked into Thane, sending his trunk and its contents to the floor. I stood there laughing as Pansy and Thane gathered the clothing and books. I looked up to see Draco walking up with a smile.

"Hi Leah," he said with a nod and I nodded back. Ever since we decided to be friends around one another, it's been easier but also slightly more heartbreaking. I'm not what I would call depressed, but I miss being able to call him mine. That and the fact I was nervous about his reaction to Thane.

"Hi Draco," I said and he chuckled.

"Why is Pansy on the floor?" he asked, and I suppose he didn't recognize Thane yet.

"It's where she belongs," I joked, but bit my lower lip with worry.

"About what you said before you left..." he sighed, running a hand through his hair.

"You don't have to continue that conversation," I shook my head, tucking a piece of hair behind my ear.

"I love you, too," he said, moving in and kissing my cheek before walking off. I stood there in shock as Mort started licking my face, and then I moved my hand to cover my cheek, as if he'd kissed me for the first time. I slowly looked down to see Pansy and Thane looking up at me, their faces mirroring shock as well.

"Are you back together?" she asked in bewilderment.

"No...I just...before I went back to the Weasley's I told him I loved him. He's confusing me so badly," I groaned, petting Mort.

"He didn't even see Thane," Pansy said, standing up and brushing off her clothes. Thane did the same and I sighed, feeling tears run down my cheeks.

"He still loves me after what I did. What the hell is wrong with me?" I asked and Pansy pulled me into a hug, being careful not to squish Mort.

"Nothing, it just means that this will all work out in the end," Pansy soothed and I whimpered like a scared child.

"Never," she said sharply, "resort back to hurting yourself. You're much too pretty to be scarred up, no matter what kind of emotional scarring you have. It isn't worth it, alright? Everything will be okay," she said as I took deep breaths to calm down.

"Yeah, you're right," I nodded and she pulled away.

"Good, now let's go get a seat on the train," she said, and we made our way on board, finding an empty compartment. Mort made himself comfortable on my lap and Thane laughed, shaking his head.

"I don't know why I got him if he's only going to cozy up to you," he said.

"I'm an animal person," I winked.

"She has an owl and a snake," Pansy snorted.

"Oh yeah, where is my Hydra? I know Alisana is in the owlery," I said.

"Hydra is curled up on your bed at Hogwarts. I left her with some food and water, don't worry," she said and I nodded.

"Awesome," I said, and then there was a knock on the door.

"Leah," Ariana said and I smiled.

"Hi," I said and she sat down next to me.

"I feel terrible about what happened," she said, running a hand through her hair.

"It isn't your fault, I told you. Riley was just a problem for me and I was upset that he was so close by without me knowing it," I explained and she let out a long breath.

"Thank God," she said, hugging me.

"I see you got out...but look at your eyes. Wow, that's crazy," she said, and then her eyes moved to Mort.

"Is he yours?" she asked and I shook my head.

"Mort is Thane's cat," I said nodding to him and she looked over at Thane.

"Oh hello; I'm Ariana," she said and he just stared blankly at her.

"Thane?" I frowned, but he didn't move. After snapping my fingers at him a few times, he blinked and moved his gaze to me.

"Kendra Dumbledore has a message for you," he said and I raised my eyebrows.

"'Leah is in danger.' It's the same message over and over from almost everyone," Thane said and Ariana was giving him a look of confusion.

"Thane can talk to the dead," I said and she paled.

 "Wow," she whispered.

"Anyway, hi I'm Thane," he smirked and Ariana blushed. Hm, interesting.

"Well, aren't we all having fun now? What's this about Leah being in danger?" Ariana asked, pulling her gaze away from Thane.

"I have no idea, he keeps getting that message. Apparently it is what it is; I'm in danger," I sighed.

"Well you need to get out of danger," Pansy said sternly.

"She's in danger again?" Blaise asked, walking in and kissing Pansy quickly.

"Ugh, no one wants to see your disgusting public displays of affection," I gagged and Thane chuckled.

"Oh and what about your PDA with Draco?" Ariana smirked and I gave her a tight smile.

"Those won't be happening anymore," I said as the others fell silent. Ariana was about to say something when the compartment door opened and in walked Draco. We all leaned back from the conversation and fiddled with something around us such as a trunk in Ariana's case, Mort in mine, Pansy and Blaise turned to each other, and Thane played around with a book of his. I saw Sapphire and Damon pop up as well, but they sensed tension and shot me a quick wave before leaving.

"Hey guys," he said, looking at all of us, and we all mumbled 'hello'. He looked at me in confusion and I dropped my gaze to Mort guiltily. Even though I wasn't watching Draco, I immediately felt his tension.

"What are you doing here?" he asked between clenched teeth and I looked up slowly.

"I'm uh, going to school," Thane said and Draco's gaze moved from Thane to me, and back to Thane.

"You're supposed to be at St. Mungo's," Draco sneered and I stood up.

"Draco..." I said, putting a hand to his arm, but he brushed me off.

"He was staying with you, wasn't he?" he asked, and I saw hurt clear in his eyes.

"No...well...yes, but it was technically with the Weasley's. I was out of it and I didn't really interact with anyone," I sighed.

"She was knocked out for almost four days," Thane muttered and Draco's angry gaze moved from him to me, only it turned from anger to concern.

"You were passed out even before you came to the manor?" he asked and I bit my lip.

"Well it was from hunger and blood loss basically, and the only reason I was out for four days was because I hit my head on the tub," I said, and he put a hand to my cheek before stiffly pulling away and sitting on the other side of Ariana.

"You don't belong here," he pointed an angry finger at Thane.

"Look mate, I never meant to hurt you guys that way. I was completely unaware of how close you two were," he said apologetically.

"What happens in St. Mungo's stays in St. Mungo's?" Draco mocked sarcastically and Thane sighed.

"Was she not trust worthy enough to tell you? She was obviously upset beyond compare, so give the poor girl a break!" Thane said, growing impatient.

"Do not tell me what to do! How are you all okay with this guy?" he asked the others in anger and they shared looks.

"We've accepted that he really didn't know how hurtful it would be to the both of you," Pansy said and Blaise nodded. Ariana sighed and scratched Mort behind the ears.

"I have no idea what's going on so..." she trailed off.

"We'll tell you later," Pansy said dismissively.

"Leah," Draco winced, looking at me.

"He isn't a bad person; he just made a bad decision. Kind of like me," I said quietly and I tasted a tear on my lips, which meant I was crying once again.

"Leah..." Draco whispered and I just looked at the floor.

"Please, I hate it when you cry," he said softly and Ariana took my hand reassuringly.

"Listen," Draco sighed, "you did make a bad decision...but Leah...I just... you know that I just need time," he said and I looked at him.

"Are you going to say that every time I see you? I don't want to keep hearing that," I said, anger threatening to seep into my words.

"What do you want me to say?" Draco frowned.

"Nothing about the matter until you've made your decision!" I snapped and then closed my eyes at his expression.

"I'm sorry, I'm just stressed out," I said and I almost felt him smile.

"Alright, fine, the matter is dropped. So, who's ready for Slytherin to beat Gryffindor ass in Quidditch?" he asked and I opened my eyes with a smile.

"I am because I missed our first match. I am so thrilled!" I said excitedly and Blaise laughed.

"She's going to be the winning player," he predicted.

"I've always wanted to watch Quidditch," Thane mused.

"Oh it's a lot of fun. Come to the next match with me...I mean us!" Ariana corrected herself quickly and Thane smiled slowly.

"Okay, I'd be happy to go with you Ariana," he said and she blushed again. Pansy and I shared a look and I winked.

"Well if you two wanna be alone," I said, and the four of us stood up.

"Sit down!" Ariana hissed, pulling my arm. Pansy and I started laughing and Blaise and Draco shared a look.

"So I'm assuming you play Quidditch, Draco?" Thane asked and Draco seemed to clench his jaw before answering.

"Yeah, I'm the seeker," he said, sounding friendly as can be.

"Leah, you play too, right?" he asked and I nodded.

"I'm a chaser; I was in Mungo's when we had our first match," I said.

"Let me guess, the first day in Mungo's was your first match? Oh god, and all you had was Violet," he shuddered.

"Oh shut up, you love Violet," I teased and he gave me a horrified look.

"When one is talking about me, 'love' should never be associated; especially not when speaking of Violet," he shuddered.

"I used to think a Riddle couldn't love," I sang.

"Yeah, she loves us," Pansy gestured to everyone in the compartment.

"And she loved Barty and Alex as well!" Thane smirked and I gave him a sad smile.

"Yeah, and I wish Barty was still here," I said quietly.

"Barty loves you Leah, you know that," Draco said and I nodded.

"As for Alex, good riddance," Draco wrinkled his nose.

 "Draco," I scolded.

"Sorry but he was taking you away from me," he said and it fell silent for a moment.

"Well we probably could've found a way around that," I shrugged, so things weren't too awkward.

 "Such as?" Draco chuckled.

"Oh well we had that brilliant pregnancy plan," I laughed and Pansy, Blaise, and Draco joined me.

"Yeah because talking about that did us good; you almost died!" Draco laughed.

"It was all her fault!" I smiled, nudging Ariana.

"I am really sorry about that by the way," she said sincerely.

 "It's fine," I shrugged.

"Wait...what?" Thane asked and I smiled at him.

"We joked about me getting pregnant so I didn't have to marry Alex. Ariana went and told my father and he legitimately almost killed me," I said.

"Holy shit," Thane said and I nodded.

"It was intense," Pansy and I said together.

"Whoa we're twins!" we sad again and we pointed at each other.

 "Fuck off!"

"You're such an ass!"

"Oh my God!" we said and then we all fell out laughing.

"Pansy is my sister by the way," I said to Thane.

"Oh! How is mum?" I asked and Pansy turned serious.

"She misses you a lot Leah. When you lost your memories and still didn't want her, she lost it big time," she said and I winced.

"I'll have to go see her; I'll see Mikey too!" I smiled.

"By the way Draco, I hate you," Pansy glared.

"Why?" he asked, furrowing his brow.

"You killed my father, not Leah. What a douche bag move letting her cover for you," she said angrily.

"What was I supposed to say?" he asked.

"Oh I don't know maybe 'no Leah's just covering for my sorry ass, I killed him!'" she snapped.

"I was just protecting her! He was torturing her," Draco almost yelled.

"She can take care of herself!"

"She needed me and I was there!"

"Where were you the past week?" she screamed, and they both fell silent.

 "I wasn't by her side...and I should've been," he said after a while.

"Yeah, you should've been. You should have been more understanding instead of screaming at her. You knew she lost weight already, so why would you be such a dick? She admitted what she did and you just went along being all pissy. Were you there when she was tearing herself apart at Mungo's? Were you there when she was ready to kill herself? No because you were only aware of your own pain and didn't realize that she was worse than you were. Do you not see how much of a terrible boyfriend you were? All of those acts add up to being ten times worse than that one little thing she did to you. After all the times you've pissed her off and she fought with you, she took you back, and when she messed up, you tossed her to the side like last night's trash. So not only are you a murderer, but you can't be there for the girl you supposedly loved when it matters most," Pansy ranted, and our compartment fell completely silent; Mort was even looking at Draco in silent expectance. Draco was gawking at Pansy, at a loss for words. His mouth was slightly open and he was more pale than usual. After a while, Ariana cleared her throat and stood up.

"We're here," she said, and everyone unfroze, quickly gathering their things and moving out.
