The relationship you had was bittersweet, a mixture of laughters and fights. Well, mostly fights. All your opinions and views clashed, your attitudes contradict, and your feelings weren't mutual. You liked him, but you were not sure if he felt the same.

A tsundere boyfriend is cute. But sometimes, they're just a total pain from the behind..

The buzzing of your phone pulled you out of your thoughts. You composed yourself and looked around, some of your classmates had already gone out to look around the booths set outside the campus lawn. It was Valentines Day, and the Student Council had made some changes of the School Tradition. And one of them was making Valentines Day an official event. Classes were shortened and majority of the whole student population were busy celebrating the said occasion. Well, except maybe those single kids who didn't have a partner.

And you, darling, was on top of the list.

No boyfriend..

From a bad break-up..

But okay with it.

Who cares about relationSHITS anyway? They're not meant to last forever. You're not going to waste anymore strength and effort for something that doesn't last a lifetime.

You're done being the only one holding on. For once, you wanted to just sit around, have fun, and make the most out of your life. With no boyfriend to think about, and no tsundereness to deal with.

From: Takao-kun

Subject: Oy!

Message Body: Hey, [Name]-chan. Where are you? I've been looking all over for you. Meet me outside the basketball gym. I have something very important to say.

You frowned, a little bit worried and concerned about the important matter he wanted to discuss. You immediately fixed your things and headed out to meet Takao.

"What the hell?" You immediately blurted out as soon as you reached the gym where Takao was waiting. With Midorima. "You said it's important?"

"This is important. A matter of life and death." He said with a grin, grabbing your left arm. "Just trust me with this, I'm sure you're gonna thank me after."

Your eyes widened when you saw the handcuff dangling around Midorima's wrist. It was already too late when you realized what Takao was planning to do, the shackle was already enclosed around your left wrist. You were already handcuffed with Midorima.

With your ex-boyfriend..

"WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS, TAKAO-KUN!" You screeched, trying to pull your arm free, unintentionally pulling the green-haired-megane-creep closer to you. "SET ME FREE!"

Instead of listening, Takao pushed Midorima towards the door. And being chained to the creep, you were dragged along. You nearly stumbled forwards if only Midorima hadn't caught you just in time before you fell to the gym floor. You heard Takao's chuckle first before the gym doors closed with a loud click.

You immediately pulled away from Midorima and tried banging the door, however, minutes had already passed but there was no response from outside. You roamed around the gym in search for an exit, with Midorima tagging along of course, but everything was closed.

There was simply no exit.

You were stuck there in that place with a creep for who knows how long.

You groaned miserably and sat on the floor, crossing your legs in an Indian-style sitting position. Your arm hunged in the air as Midorima stayed standing next to you.

"That Takao! Where did he get this handcuff anyway?" You grumbled, fuming with anger.

Midorima positioned himself at your back and sat down, mimicking your position with his broad back leaning against yours. "He borrowed this from the Love Chain Booth-nanodayo."

"And you're okay with this? I can't believe you didn't even say anything, Shin. You could have stop him and-"

"I shouldn't have to." He cut you off.

"What?" You bellowed. "You should have! Don't tell me this is okay with you?"

He let a short moment of complete silence passed by before he answered. "Yes."

You froze. You blinked your eyes once, twice, thrice. Did you hear the right thing? Did he just say it was okay to get stuck there with you?

Wtf?

Impossible..

"Actually, I asked Takao to do this-nanodayo."

You gasped and immediately turned around, but Midorima was quick enough to turn your back again using his free hand. "The fuck, Shin! What are you doing?"

"Doing the one thing that I should have done before-nanodayo. Getting you back." With what he said, your breathing hitched and your heartbeat became louder. You slowly shifted your body to the side to take a look at him. But just like before, he made sure you wouldn't see his face again. "Don't turn around and look at me. I need to finish what I'm going to say without stuttering-nanodayo."

Your brows only furrowed even more. "I don't understand you."

"Your eyes are so beautiful. That's why your gaze always makes me so nervous."

Your mouth hunged open in shock. So that was why he would always stutter whenever you two talked before, he couldn't even make a decent eye to eye contact with you. That's why he would avoid your stares, which at that time you thought he was looking at something else much more important than you.

"W-why are you saying this now, Shin? It's been a month."

"I can't stop thinking of you-nanodayo." He jerked his head back a bit and leaned it against yours. "I'm sorry I wasn't brave enough. I shouldn't have let you go."

Your eyes widened in shock. E-Eh?

Midorima and you broke up in your third month of being in a relationship. He became even more distant, he started avoiding you and it was painful. You were in the same class but you couldn't even at least talk to each other. You cried every night, you didn't know the reason why he suddenly changed.

To you, it was okay for him to stutter than hearing nothing from him at all. It was okay for the both of you to fight than seeing him avoid you and talk to other people but you. It was okay dealing with his one of a kind attitude than to deal with nothing at all.

Midorima Shintaro took you for granted. You loved him, but you guessed the feeling wasn't mutual at all. So you ended whatever connection you had after that agonizing days of misery.

You didn't know what to say for a moment. Hearing his voice, feeling his warmth, knowing that he was close to you and yet not seeing him.. It felt strange, especially when he sounded so different. Desperate and sincere. The longing in his voice was evident and it made your heart ache.

"Why did you change, Shin? You treated me like I was dirt." You asked in a low voice, tears were threatening to fall from your eyes.

"I didn't know how to contain my feelings-nanodayo. I couldn't say that I was jealous about your closeness with Takao." He admitted, voice restrained. "I was jealous everytime you talked to him, everytime you smiled at him. I knew it was wrong, Takao is a friend, but I couldn't stop it. The feeling would bubble up within me like a volcano ready to erupt."

Your mouth hunged open in shock. AGAIN. You let out a quick sigh of disbelief and ran your free hand through your hair. You couldn't believe it. So all those times he was just jealous and he didn't even tell you.

Wow. Just wow.

Tsundere's are amazing as shit. (Sarcasm intended.)

"You really are a creep, Midorima Shintaro." You said with a scoff.

Minutes of defeaning silence passed by before you felt him shift his position behind you, he turned around then wrapped his arms around you, leaning his face against your back. You nearly fell forwards because of surprise, but he hugged you tight so as not to let you get away too. "Shin.."

"I want you back-nanodayo." He cooed, voice shaky and filled with utmost longing.

Hot tears streamed down to your cheeks as your lips curled up into a smile. You needn't pretend anymore, now's the time you had to be true to yourself. "You never lost me anyway.." You paused for a second then continued in a softer voice.. "I still love you, Shin."

His grip tightened and he nuzzled his face on your neck, breathing in your scent and feeling your own warmth pressed unto him. "I didn't know you're this small-nanodayo."

You grinned and dragged his arms more closer around you. "You only hugged me once before."

You felt him stiffen up. "Just once? I thought it was twice?"

"You ran away the second time, remember?"

"I did?"

"Shut up. Of course you did. Takao-kun even saw it." You retorted, annoyed.

You heard a low chuckle from him before he motioned his head closer to your face. "Look at me, [Name]."

You complied and glanced at him. You met his beautiful bespectacled emerald eyes, his perfect nose and his lips which was curled up into a gentle smile. "W-What?"

He pressed his soft lips against your left cheek and whispered,"I love you."

..and this time, without stuttering.
