She let him kiss her, and it felt amazing. Lana opened her eyes and felt mortified with herself.

Had she had a dream about Xerses? These tales were already influencing her horribly, and her body felt hot.

Xerses entered the room, she started and his hair was wet, no doubt that he had just finished bathing,

"Evening." She croaked out as her face filled with more color,

"What happened?"

More embarrassment filled her as she said, "Nothing..........."

Lana got up and began to leave.

"Did I dismiss you?"

She froze, "No...I apologize."

"Where are you going?"

"To have dinner before the kitchen is closed for the evening."

He nodded, "Go."

After eating in a haze, she walked back slowly to their room and walked in. Xerses looked at her and her mouth went dry.

She hoped that he would not ask, and he did not. He was just in a loincloth,

"You have to wait outside."

"Pardon?"

"I have a female coming to entertain me."

Lana could not believe it. "It's cold outside."

"That is your problem, not mine."

Lana wanted to cry and scream at the same time. How was she to survive this brute? This is not how she wanted to live.

"GO!"

She turned solemnly and sat outside, covering her ears, not wanting to hear what was going on in there.

Lana began to cry, thinking why she was here. What was she holding on for? Were they searching for her?

Even though they were, there was no chance that they could defeat the man who began her nightmare.

She sobbed,

Lana woke up when she heard the door opening and realized that she was freezing cold, walked back in.

She welcomed the warmth and sat on the chair by the furnace until she fell asleep. The following morning Lana got up, and the rain had not let up.

She stood up, "Morning."

She could see that Xerses was taking in her face, and it was splotchy. Everyone always said that she cried ugly.

"Rough night?"

He was taunting her. "No."

He did not respond.

"May I be excused?"

"For?"

"To bathe."

"You may leave."

Lana went out, she was fuming. Who did he think he was? Why did she have to report to him?

After bathing, and food she decided to go and visit Brytha, and need to be with someone kind to her.

When she got there, Lana spotted the girl and so did the girl.

"Lana."

"I thought I would come visit you."

"Come."
