Tulpa

I fought the attacker as we wrestled on the ground.
"Shhh", he said releasing me and standing up.
"I saw you talking to the children about the woods."
"I can tell you all about the woods. Don't go inside."
"Yeah? Why is that?", I asked trying to catch my breath. And trying to move past him.
"You should listen to me. I've been here a lot longer than you have."
"That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Why would I listen to the strange man who lurks and watches children at the playground?"
"Just listen. Why doesn't anyone listen?", he asked annoyed.
"Alright. I'm listening", I said exhaling and being thankful that he wasn't Sam or Dean.
"Witches. Last winter solstice, they were burned on the trees that still stand in that forest. They said they would live on forever. Some of the townspeople dragged them there and burned them. The witches swore they'd get revenge. When there was nothing left but ashes, the ashes fell to the ground and became soil for the trees. And symbols remained carved into the trees as one last spell from the witches. Those three witches left behind a symbol on each of the three trees and with that symbol they have ever lasting life. Even dead, they're just as dangerous."
  "You're crazy", I said.
"Not as crazy as the person who dares to go in there", he said grabbing my arm.
"Don't touch me", I said yanking my arm out of his grasp.
"You've been warned", he said walking away.
  "Hey", I said.
He turned around and I punched him in the face. "I deserved that,", he said leaving and wiping blood from his lip.
I knew he wasn't crazy. But I had to pretend like I was a sane person. It's not like I could say, I hate witches. Every time I've dealt with them, they've been a pain.
There were still a couple hours until it got dark, but the playground and entire neighborhood seemed to be clear. "I ain't afraid of no ghosts", I said to myself. I took the first step into the forest and felt uneasy.
I didn't know where I was going, but it seemed like I did. It seemed like I had grew up in the woods. I walked until my feet couldn't hold me anymore. The trees and the sounds went away when I came to a big circle.
Moonlight was shining straight onto three massive trees in the middle of the circle of nothing.
They had to be the tallest trees in the entire forest. I was mesmerized. The trees were so beautiful to me that I would have worshipped them.
Then, I heard a sound. And I snapped out of it. "It's dark", I whispered. What the hell was I thinking. I didn't even remember how I got to this spot in the woods.
I looked at the trees. I was an ant in comparison. I copied the symbol onto my hand. The symbol looked familiar. But I was too scared of what it might be that I didn't try to remember it at the moment. I wanted out. I fell down and saw a blur moving in the woods. My eyes began at the ground and slowly moved up until I saw a pale face staring at me.
  "Damnit", I whispered.
  "Come", it whispered to me.
The wind blew and his arms seemed to stretch endlessly into the forest.
  "Come."
I stood and began to walk through the fog. I felt like I was being pulled to him. His arms stretched out to me. He was so far away, but I wanted to savor the moments that I was walking towards him.
I stopped walking. Tulpa. It's a tulpa symbol. The tulpa feeds off fear and belief. Without the symbol and the faith, the creature no longer exists.
"You're not real", I shouted as my head spun.
One of his arms grabbed my arm. It wrapped around my arm like a snake. The grip got tighter.
"Come", it said keeping its distance but keeping the arm around me.
I heard a snap in my arm. "You're not real. You can't hurt me", I shouted. It disappeared in the wind. Maybe he's gone now. Maybe all it took was for someone to stop believing in him. My arm began to color and it began to hurt.
I left the woods and rushed back to my hotel room. I got a phone call.
"Yeah", I said fighting back tears as I nursed my arm.
  "Hiya", Dean said.
"Dean. Not now", I said shoving a piece of cloth in my mouth and putting him on speaker.
  "We're getting closer", he said.
I screamed through the gag as I cut my sleeve off. "What is going on?", Dean asked.
I spit the cloth out and put ice on my arm. "If you must know, my arm is broken. I'm working a case."
"Well. Hopefully the monster doesn't kill you before we get the chance."
"You don't even know if I am bad. I'm not. I'm not some monster. And I don't deserve to die. But I'm guessing you're the shoot first, ask questions later type. Well, Dean. If you find me, you won't catch me. Goodnight"
"When we find you", he hung up.
I threw my phone on the ground and took pain reliever. I got out the over the shoulder cast that I had from when I broke my arm on a vampire case. I fell asleep fast after that.
I woke up to pounding on the door.
