Arabella's POV

I just left Mary's house to go find Henry and go with him to the Man Cave. It was Halloween and I was dressed at Poison Ivy while Mary is Harley Quinn. I was gonna be a ghostbuster with Henry, Charlotte, and Jasper, but I decided to play a villain that has the same powers as me instead.

Mary decided to come with me, because she wanted to see my dad and I was hesitant on letting her go. I told her she wouldn't be allowed in the back and that Jasper could help her find a wig that matches Harley Quinn's hair. Gotta keep her distracted while I'm down in the Man Cave.

I've mentioned the thought of telling Mary our secret to my father and he's never denied it. He wants to tell her, because he really likes her and her and I are really close. They aren't dating, but my dad is thinking of asking her out very soon and I will be over the moon when they start dating.

I'll finally have a mother figure in my life.

Mary made her way to the store, while I approached Henry's porch and he was standing there in his ghostbusters costume.

"Hey, babe." I greeted and he turned to me with wide eyes and an open mouth. "What? Do I have something on my face?"

"Uh....uh...." He trailed off and inched the back of his neck. "You look.... like a plant."

I chuckled at his reaction, "yeah, that's what I am. I'm Poison Ivy, the villain."

His face was completely red and I giggled, "I see that."

I walked up to him and shut his mouth, "shut your mouth, you'll catch flies, darling." I grinned and grabbed his hand, before I pulled him to the store.

"I have a hot girlfriend..."

I blushed, "I heard that."

Henry and I walked into the Man Cave together with the pumpkin carved like my dad's face in it. Mary obviously stayed up in the store, so Jasper can help her find a wig to wear.

"Alright, let's make this quick, Mary's upstairs with Jasper trying on wigs." I mentioned and my dad perked up.

"Mary's here?" He asked me and I nodded with a smile.

"Yep."

"Who is she dressed as?" He asked me.

"Harley Quinn." I told my dad and he smirked.

"Nice."

I rolled my eyes, "here's your stupid pumpkin."

"It's not stupid." My dad remarked as Henry showed my dad the pumpkin.

"Here you go, man." Henry smiled as my dad took the pumpkin.

"Aw, yes, I am handsome." My dad smiled, "anyray, Charlotte's worried about a bunch of missing dogs or something."

"It's a bunch of missing kids." Charlotte corrected.

"What? A bunch of missing kids? That's way more serious!" My dad exclaimed with worry and dropped the pumpkin, breaking it.

"Dude, I worked all day on that." Henry protested and I rubbed his arm.

"There's always next year, honey." I assured Henry as he took my hand.

"Hey, they're talking about it on the news." Charlotte mentioned and turned on the news.

"Happy Halloween, Swellview." Mary Gaperman greeted.

"Halloween? Or Hallo-Missing Tweens." Trent corrected.

"It's both, Trent. Today is Halloween and it's making some kids in Swellview to say Boo-Hoo, cause they're missing." Mary continued.

"That's right, Mary, they're gone." Trent agreed, "so far, ten children have disappeared... without a trace. Unless you consider the puffs of smoke, the screaming, and the eye witness accounts of a terrifying monster appearing out of no where a trace." The four of us shared a look, "if you do, then all of those things are traces."

"Ten kids, that's a juggler's dozen." Mary remarked.

"That's right, Mary." Trent said, "the big question is... who's gonna be eleven?"

After the the news broadcast, Charlotte began to go over who's been taken by the terrifying monster on a map and it was a little boring not gonna lie. I was resting my head on Henry's shoulder and his head was on top of mine as we listened to Charlotte.

"There, there, there... and there, there, and there." Charlotte pointed to specific locations on the map of Swellview. "Those were the ten places the kids were last scene. Does anyone else see a pattern?"

I looked at the map and visualed a weird 'X' shape, but my dad spoke first.

"I do." My dad said before getting up and switching places with Charlotte.

This should be good.

"This...is the pattern." My dad began as he drew a squiggle over the board and I mentally groaned.

"Uh...." the three of us trailed off as he continued his line all over the board.

"Dad, I don't think that's it."

"Uh, are you sure?"

"It looks like you're just..."

The three of us began to talk over each other as he made incredibly confusing lines over the board and I wanted to kick myself knowing I'm this man's daughter.

After a minute or two, the board was completely covered by the red line my dad created and the three of us were so done with him.

"...and then finally as you can see, the pattern is clear." My dad smiled as he finished and I hung my head in disappointment. "Boom."

The three of us stood up and I sighed.

"Or." I said and went over to the board, clearing the lines and drawing two lines to make an 'X.' "It's an 'X.'"

"I'm not seeing it." My dad shrugged and I reached my hands out, wanting to strangle him. Henry grabbed my wrists and pulled me away from him.

"How are you...ugh never mind." I groaned and leaned into Henry's side with him wrapping his arm around me.

"I did it! I made a device that can find all of those missing dogs!" Schwoz, who had a black wig on and a button up shirt on, ran out with a small device in his hands.

"Not dogs, it's kids." My dad corrected.

"Oh...well this thing is worthless." Schwoz mentioned.

"Actually, my neighbor's dog is missing, so can we-"

Charlotte paused when Schwoz threw down the device, breaking it.

"I guess not." Charlotte shrugged.

"Hey, sweet stoom." Henry smirked at Schwoz, "who you suppose to be?"

"Oh, I am Steve." Schwoz smiled and we were confused.

"Steve Gilderslien, my friend from college, he looks just like this, see." Schwoz pulled up a picture of Steve on the monitor and the four of us smiled at the picture of him.

Ah, I see it now.

The elevator doors opened and Jasper ran inside.

"Guys, guys, we have a super serious emergency!" Jasper exclaimed, but his lip was bruised causing him to talk funny.

Schwoz laughed, "Jasper, you sound ridiculous!"

I giggled softly.

"Yeah, why are you talking like that?" Henry asked him.

"I smashed my face in the door of Junk-N-Stuff when I tried to run down here to tell you that Bella's tutor, Mary, disappeared!" Jasper ranted on and my eyes grew.

"What?!" My dad exclaimed.

"What do you mean disappeared?!" I asked with concern.

"A monster snatched her and then vanished with a bunch of smoke!" Jasper explained.

"What?!" Henry asked.

"Exactly! I can't understand a word you're saying." My dad remarked.

"He said a monster appeared in a puff of smoke and snatched your girlfriend." Henry told my dad and he spoke up.

"No, she's not my girlfriend." My dad countered, "not yet, at least."

"Just like those ten kids!" Charlotte exclaimed.

"But Mary's not a kid." I reasoned.

"Maybe she got mistaken for a kid." My dad said, "I means she's not that tall and you put her in a costume..."

"Okay, I get it." I sigh, "but I guess that makes her eleven then."

"Exactly." Jasper said, "the strangest thing."

"Come on, Hen, we've got to find Mary." My dad told Henry.

"But how, we don't know where this monster went, we have no way of knowing." Henry protested.

"Hey, guys, check this out." Charlotte cut in.

"Not now, Charlotte." My dad said, "we have to start looking for her."

"But we don't even know where to look." Henry reasoned, "nobody does."

"I think I know where she is." Charlotte mentioned.

"Where?!" My dad exclaimed and went up to her with Henry.

"Remember earlier when we figured out that if you plot the locations where all those kids disappeared on the map, then it creates an 'X?'" Charlotte explained.

"Well, I saw a different shape, but go on." My dad chimed in.

"Yeah, yeah, so?" Henry asked her.

"Look where Junk-N-Stuff is." Charlotte told us and the five of us looked up at the ceiling. We didn't see anything and were confused by what she meant.

"On the map! Look where Junk-N-Stuff is on the map!" Charlotte snapped and we nodded with realization, looking at the map.

"You should be clearer!" Schwoz mentioned and she glared at him.

"Junk-N-Stuff is also on the X.'" Charlotte said, "and check out what's in the middle of the 'X.'" Charlotte tapped the center of the 'X' and the location was called Evil Science Corp.

"A place called Evil Science Corp." I said and my dad laughed.

"I don't like the sound of that."

"Neither do I, do you think that's where Mary and the kids went missing?" Henry asked Charlotte.

"I don't know, but it seems like a good place to start." Charlotte shrugged.

"Yeah, let's go, let's go!" My dad rushed Henry, who chuckled.

"Okay, okay, let's go save your girlfriend." Henry smiled.

"She's not my girlfriend." My dad protested and I grinned, "well, not yet at least."

I hope Mary's okay. She's probably somewhere dark and horribly and scary.

Third Person POV

Mary Carman appeared in bright and colorful room with the monster as she screamed with fear.

"Hello again, friends!" Kevin, the monster, greeted all the kids in the room.

"Hi, Kevin!" The kids greeted and Mary was very confused.

"Is everyone having fun?" Kevin asked them.

"Yeah!"

"Great!" Kevin smiled.

"What's going on?!" Mary asked Kevin with fear

"What's your name?" Kevin asked Mary and she raised an eyebrow, "I'm sorry, I accidentally mistakenly you as a child because of your costume."

"Uh, Mary." She replied, "and it happens quite often actually.

"Hello Mary, and welcome to my world!" Kevin smiled as he skipped by her.

"What do you mean 'your world?'" Mary asked him.

"I'll tell you." Kevin said as a child in the back began to strum their guitar. "For the longest time, I've lived by myself in this beautiful world, I was very lonely."

The kids 'awed' at him and Mary put a hand on her heart in sorrow. She felt bad for the creature.

"Then, just yesterday, a doorway opened from your world into mine, and now I can bring friends into my world!" Kevin chirped as he cheered and hi-fived a few of the kids.

"But, I like living in my world." Mary protested, "this place seems like fun, but I like my home. Also, what's this floating stuff?" She shook her face when a piece of cotton candy floated onto her nose and she titled her head, "cotton candy?"

"That's right, it snows cotton candy here." Kevin smiled and pointed to a bench, "and that bench is made out of fudge!" The girl sitting on it stood up, "it's a little messy, but it sure tastes good."

"If this place is so great, why'd you kidnap me?" Mary asked him.

"I'm sorry, I thought you would like it here." Kevin apologized, "but if you want to go back to your world, you can go right through that whimsical portal."

Mary turned and looked at the mysterious portal inside the doughnut.

"I'd stay if I were you, Ms. Carman."

Mary turned and saw Oliver dressed as a woman with white hair and a blue suit, carrying a waffle on a stick. Oliver is one of Mary's other students/clients.

"This party is lit AF." Oliver continued, going up to her. "Which stands for 'lit and fun.'"

"Oliver?" She asked as he took a bite of his waffle.

"Happy Halloween, who are you supposed to be?" Oliver asked her.

"Harley Quinn." Mary told him and he nodded.

"Oh, yeah. I saw Bella post a selfie of you and her on her Envygram." Oliver mention, "pretty hot."

"Oliver!" Mary scolded.

"I was talking about Bella." He quickly stayed and Mary huffed, folding her arms. "Well, I'm former First Lady, Barbara Bush."

"You know what?" Mary smiled, "this place seems like fun, I'll stay and eat some candy."

The room cheered as Mary clapped happily.

"GO BARB! GO BARB! GO BARB! GO BARB!" The crowd cheered as Oliver break danced in the center of the room. Mary looked over and saw a giant jelly doughnut had flown through the portal and she picked it up.

"Look everyone! A giant jelly doughnut!" Mary smiled and everyone cheered.

"Doughnut tiiiiiiiime!" Kevin sang and everyone cheered once again.

Outside the portal, Captain Man and Kid Danger stood there worried about the noise coming from inside the portal. Ray was worried something bad had happened to Mary and wanted to get her out of there.

"What's that sound?" Kid Danger asked Bill Evil, the CEO of Evil Science Corp.

"We assume it's the sound of the terrified people being tortured by the monster." Bill assumed and Ray clenched his fists.

"Have anyone of you actually gone through the portal to see what's going on in the other dimension?"

Bill chuckled, "no, no, that is way too scary! We hear a lot of screaming coming from that thing."

More screaming came from the portal and everyone leaned back.

"See, there it is again." Bill pointed out and shivered, "it's terrifying."

Inside the portal, everyone is playing dodgeball with jelly doughnuts and having a great time.

"I've never had a jelly doughnut fight before!" Mary giggled with joy.

"Oh, Mary, your smile is so infectious!" Kevin smiled, "you truly embrace your inner child."

"I love it here, Kevin!" Mary beamed.

"I'm so glad!" Kevin exclaimed, "I love you all! FRIENDSHIP FOREVER!"

Everyone cheered for Kevin.

Outside the portal, the screams have gotten louder and everyone assumes that the children and Mary are being tortured.

"You hear that?" Henry asked his boss, "we've got to go in and save them."

"Yeah, yeah, you do! Go ahead!" Ray pushed Henry forward, and Henry gave him a look.

"Wait, what?" He asked.

"You heard the scientist, only one person can go through the portal." Ray informed Henry.

"We have never said that." Bill chimed in.

"Alright fine!" Ray reluctantly agreed, "we go in, we kick some monster butt, we get the kids and Mary, and we get out of there."

Henry nodded, "sounds good!"

The superhero duo dived through the portal after that. Inside, the children and Mary were groaning and moaning from all the jelly doughnuts they ate as Kevin was cleaning them up.

Captain Man and Kid Danger climbed inside the room and Mary stood up at the sight.

"Get the kids and Mary!" Captain Man shouted at his sidekick.

"Would you like a hug?" Kevin asked them.

(Every day of my life I need one. I'm such a mess🥺😭)

"Die, you foul beast!" Captain Man scolded and ran and attacked the monster as Kid Danger escorted the kids out of the room. Mary jumped at the action and watched Captain Man attack the sweet monster.

Kid Danger grabbed Mary and pushed her through the portal.

"No, wait, stop!" She cried.

"I'll get you out of here!" Kid Danger yelled as she was pushed through.

Captain Man grabbed Kevin and shoved him to the floor, knocking over the candy cart. Kevin tried to block himself with a doughnut beanbag chair, but Captain Man grabbed the chair and threatened him with it.

"No, no, it's just jelly!" Kevin objected, pointing to his own face. "From the doughnuts!"

Captain Man snarled at him, "spare me your lies, you foul creature!"

He grabbed Kevin and flipped him onto his back. Kevin went to sit up, but Captain Man punched him in the face.

"Die! You monster!"

"Let me explain!" Kevin protested as Kid Danger successfully escorted all the kids and Mary out of the dimension.

"I said stay down!" Captain Man yelled as he punched him again and Kevin screamed.

"Captain Man let's go!" Kid Danger yelled and Captain Man walked over to him

"Wait!" Captain Man protested.

"Wait for what?" Kid Danger asked.

"We have to close this portal, permanently." Captain Man said.

"Well, how are we gonna do that?" Kid Danger asked him.

"With this!" Captain Man called and pulled out an explosion seismic charge, "an explosion seismic charge!"

"Alright! Just make it quick!" Kid Danger rushed him and dived back through the portal as Captain Man set up the charge on the portal.

Kevin stumbled to his feet and Captain Man turned to him.

"If I could just explain myself-"

"SILENCE!"

Captain Man punched him, before he dived through the portal and Kevin fell back into a chair.

Outside of the portal, Mary stumbled out with a bunch of blue goo all over her body. Kid Danger came out next with the same stuff on his body and then Captain Man stumbled out after him.

Mary touched her clothes and wig and grimaced.

"Ew." She muttered to herself.

"Nice work." Kid Danger smiled at his boss.

"Thanks." Captain Man said and they looked at their goo covered bodies.

"What is this stuff?"

"Some kind of inter-dimensional goo." Captain Man exhaled with exhaustion.

"Captain Man! Kid Danger!" Mary began.

"Oh, no need to thank us, pretty lady." Captain Man winked and Mary blushed, but was still upset with them.

"Thank you?" Mary questioned, "that monster was nice, he was just lonely and wanted some friends."

"Yeah, we could've left at anytime." A teenage boy added.

"We wanted to stay." Mary mentioned.

"Uh....." Kid Danger trailed off.

"That is new information." Captain Man mentioned.

"Hey, uh, dude, how long did you set the timer for the seismic charge?" Kid Danger asked Captain Man.

"Uh...." Captain Man began and inside the portal the seismic charge exploded, causing Kevin to fall down and everyone on the other side yelled, moving back.

The portal began to disappeared and Kevin gasped.

"No, no, no, no, no..."

The portal completely vanished moments later and the one on the other side was gone as well.

Kid Danger hit the wall and cleared his throat, "that's a solid wall, dude."

"You're welcome." Captain Man smiled as he and Kid Danger walked out of the room.

"Happy Halloween, everybody."

"Hey, has everyone seen that Barb guy?" The teenage boy asked and Mary lowered her arms.

Moments later, Mary got a text and she pulled out her phone to see it was from Bella.

Bella🌸: I've got some explaining to do.

Mary was confused and called Bella as she left the room and she saw Captain Man, Kid Danger, and Bella standing there. Bella was now covered with goo thanks to the superheroes hugging her when they saw her.

"I need to tell you something." Bella told Mary and Captain Man and Kid Danger stood there with nervous looks. "Actually, we all need to tell you something, right guys?"

"Yes...we do."

"That's correct."

The boys laughed nervously and Mary was very confused by all this.

"Tell me what?"

Man Cave

The boys and Bella had lead Mary to the store and went down the obnoxious elevator that Mary absolutely hated. The doors opened and inside stood Jasper, Charlotte, and Schwoz all with smiles in their faces and Mary was absolutely amazed by all this.

"Woah!" She gasped at all the technology and just the place itself. "What is this place?"

"This is the Man Cave." Kid Danger told her as he and Captain Man walked ahead of the girls. Mary stood by the elevator with Bella, who was smiling from ear to ear.

"The place wear Captain Man and Kid Danger work?" Mary asked and the boys nodded as they each removed their masks.

"That's right."

"Mmhm."

"But... why am I here?" Mary asked and Bella looked at her.

"Because it's important you know the truth and who my father is and who I am." Bella explained, "I care about you too much not to tell you."

Captain Man turned around without his mask off and Mary's eyes grew. "Hey, it's me, Ray."

Kid Danger turned around, "and me, Henry."

Mary was shocked and Bella smiled at her, "wait, what? You're...you are..what the..."

The boys nodded with a smile and Mary looked at Bella. "And you're..."

"I'm Captain Man's daughter."

"No way." Mary chuckled with shock, "this is insane!"

"You gotta promise not to tell anyone." Ray told Mary and approached the woman, "I only told you because you care about my daughter."

Bella nudged his arm and Ray blushed, "and I may or may not care about you... a lot."

Mary blushed at his words, "well, I care about you too. And I won't tell anyone, I promise."

"Good."

Bella gave her father a look and he cleared his throat, "and there's something I've been meaning to ask you."

Bella's eyes shined with delight and Henry chuckled at his girlfriend's face.

He loves seeing her so happy.

"Yes?"

"I haven't know you for a long time, but I really like you and I adore the way you are with Bella." Ray began and grabbed her hands, "so, do you wanna be my girlfriend? I'm okay if you say no, but that would be the first time somebody rejected Captain Man and that would just be bad for me-"

Mary kissed his cheek and Ray's eyes grew with his face heating up.

"You talk too much." She giggled, "I'd love to be your girlfriend, Ray."

Everyone awed at the couple and Bella looked like she was about to explode from happiness.

Ray smiled at his daughter, "go ahead."

"YAYYYYYYYYYY!"

The Ray/Mary ship has sailed everyone! I repeat the Ray and Mary ship has sailed!

I changed my idea of how Mary found out about the secret, because I'm an anxious person and couldn't wait any longer. But don't worry Mary and Bella's story has just started and season 5 will include mother/daughter moments, some unexpected twists, and I have a reason on why they both got covered in the goo from the portal. Of course, I can't tell you yet🤭

Everything is not what is seems between these two girls.
