Glen Lantz #1

Imagine you're new at your high school and you meet Glen Lantz.

*Requested by Urmotherohhhhh*

A week ago, you and your family moved into a new house on Elm Street. You didn't like the idea of moving to a new home and going to a new high school, especially since it was your Junior Year. But, then, you decided to give your new school a chance and you hoped that you'll meet someone there that will be your first new friend.

It was your first day of school as you walked inside the school, went to the office to get your schedule, and, then, you started searching for your first class, which was Social Studies. The bell rang and a crowd of students were quickly walking by you to get to their class. You tried asking them for directions to your class, but none of them were very helpful as they walked passed you. The bell rang again, indicating that classes were starting. But you were stranded by yourself in the middle of the hallway, with no way of knowing where your class was. You were lost. 'So much for the first day of school.' You thought to yourself, sadly, with your head down and you continued walking down the hallway.

Then, out of nowhere, someone accidentally bumped into you, unexpectedly. You looked up and saw a teenage boy that looked to be the same age as you. He was slightly tan with dark brown hair and dark brown hair. For some reason, you couldn't help but stare at his handsome face as he staring at you. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to run into you. I'm late for class and I didn't see you standing there." He explained. But you didn't respond back as you kept staring at him and your heart was fluttering like butterflies. 'Gosh, he's gorgeous.' He furrowed his eyebrows, in confusion.

"Are you okay? Are you new here?" He questioned. You, then, snapped out of your thoughts and you answered, "Um, yes—yes, I am. I'm new here and I'm lost. I don't know where my first class and I'm already running late." "Huh. Let me see your schedule." He said, and, then, you handed him your schedule and he looked over it. "Well, what a coincidence. I have the same schedule as you do." He told you, making you let out a sigh of relief. "That is a coincidence. But I'm glad though because I don't know where I'm going." You responded.

"Not to worry, sweetheart. I'll show you where our class is. Come on." He said, and, then, he gestured you to follow him and you walked right next to him to where the classroom was located. "Thank you so much for your help, uh—" "Oh. My name is Glen. Glen Lantz. What's your name?" The teenage boy named 'Glen' asked. "My name is (y/n) (y/l/n)." You answered. "Did you move here recently?" Glen questioned, curiously. "Yes, I did. My family and I moved here from Chicago." You said. "Chicago. Wow. Heard it's windy there." Glen said. You chuckled and said back, "It's not that bad actually. I love the cold weather there."

"How are you liking it here so far compared to your old home?" Glen asked. "Um, it's been okay, I guess. I miss my relatives and my friends back in Chicago. I haven't made any friends yet. Heck, nobody didn't even bother to help me find directions to my class." You answered. Then, you felt Glen's arm wrapping around your shoulders and you looked up at him. "Well, don't you worry about that because you've got yourself a new friend right here, (y/n). Since we've got the same classes, I'll help take you to your next classes and we'll have lunch together. What do say about that?" He said.

You couldn't believe every word that Glen had said. Not only was he helping you, but he was kind enough to tell you that he's your new friend and he invited you to have lunch with him. It went from being the beginning of the worst day to being the best day so far. "I would love that a lot, Glen. Thank you." You responded. "Perfect! We'll go down to the cafeteria together after our Biology class." Glen said, just as you both made it to the classroom for Social Studies.

So far, your first day of school has been great. Glen walked with you to each class you both had together and he would introduce you to the teacher before class started. Even your Social Studies let you and Glen off the hook after Glen explained why you both were late. He didn't have to do that, but he did it out of the kindness of his heart. You were very thankful that you met Glen earlier; not only for becoming your first friend, but for also being their for you throughout the first day.

It was lunch time as you headed down to the cafeteria with Glen. He saved a seat for you while he went to go grab a tray of food since you brought your own lunch. Afterwards, he came back with a tray full of food and he sat in a seat across from you. "How are you doing so far, (y/n)?" Glen asked. "Great, Glen. I'm having a great day with school already." You answered before you started eating. "Good. I'm glad, (y/n)." He said back, and, then, he started eating his lunch.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a teenage girl with brown wavy hair with a gray stripe on the left side of her hair showed up right next to Glen, with an angry expression on her face. "Glen!" She exclaimed, angrily. Glen nearly choked on his food and jumped out of his skin once he recognized her voice. He looked up and exclaimed, "Nancy!" "How could you, Glen? You promised me that you were gonna stick to the plan and you didn't do it!" Nancy complained. Glen groaned, in annoyance, and he put his hand on his forehead. You felt a little awkward watching what was happening in front of you.

"I fell asleep, Nancy!" "And you shouldn't or else he's gonna kill you!" Nancy said. You were starting to feel a little uncomfortable being around Nancy since she sounded crazy or something. Glen, then, got up from his seat and stood in front Nancy and said, "Listen to yourself, Nancy! You haven't slept in days! You're exhausted and you're probably seeing things that aren't there! You kept me up late last night with you calling me constantly to make sure that I wasn't sleeping and I was almost late for school this morning!"

Nancy glanced at you for a moment, with a hint of jealousy in her tired-looking eyes, and looked at Glen again before she questioned, with her arms crossed, "So you didn't give me a ride to school because you decided to hang out with this girl?" "No. Like I said, I was running late for school this morning thanks to you and (y/n) is new here and I offered to help her know where to go around here since we have the same class schedule and I invited her to eat lunch with me." Glen explained. "Doesn't seem that way to me." Nancy sneered back, making Glen groan in annoyance.

It was getting very awkward and uncomfortable even more that you packed up your lunch and left the table and the cafeteria. 'Perhaps I shouldn't have been with Glen if I had known he had a girlfriend.' You thought to yourself.

"(y/n)! (y/n), wait!" You heard Glen call out from behind. You stopped and turned around to see him running towards your direction. He stopped next to you and said, "Hey. I'm sorry that you had to see that  awkward conversation between me and Nancy." "It's okay, Glen. I shouldn't have been in the way with you and your girlfriend." You said, and you were about to walk away. But Glen stopped as he put his hands, gently, on your shoulders and turned you so that you were facing him. "You're not in the way between me and Nancy. She shouldn't be acting like that if I'm helping a new friend. I promise you, (y/n). What's going between me and Nancy has nothing to do with you. Okay?" He said. You thought about it for a moment and, then, you nodded back in response.

"Wanna go back to the cafeteria?" Glen asked. "Is she still there?" You questioned. He shook his head and said back, "No. She stormed off afterwards." "Good. I don't want to deal with her bringing me into the conversation." You said, while you were walking back to the cafeteria with Glen. "Is she alright if you don't mind me asking?" You asked. "Honestly, she hasn't been herself lately. She hasn't been the same person that I've been with for almost two years for the past week." Glen answered.

"Is she going through something?" You asked, curiously. "Apparently, she's been having nightmares of this serial killer named Freddy Krueger who wears these gloves with razors on them and he somehow kills victims in their sleep." Glen responded. "Oh, my God." You muttered at the thought of a serial killer in your nightmares. "I guess he's been trying to kill her in her nightmares. She stays up late at night and last night she convinced me to stay up with her 'so that we don't get killed' if we fall asleep. She told me that we would call each other every hour to make sure that we were awake. But I end up falling asleep and nothing happens during the night, yet I still couldn't get any sleep because she kept calling me throughout the night where I ended up unplugging my phone. Now she's mad at me because I didn't stick to the plan." He explained.

"She sounds like a crazy sleep deprived person." You said. "Yeah. She does. I mean, there are times that I hoped that she was gonna get out of this and be her old self again, but there's still no progress." Glen said. "Do you...still love her?" You asked, hesitantly. You noticed that Glen was deep in thought after you asked him that question and, then, he answered, "I do love her. But I feel like it's getting complicated because of how she's been lately." It kind of hurt to hear that he still loved Nancy. But at the same time, you could tell that he wasn't happy.

As soon as the two of you reached the cafeteria, without thinking, you held Glen's hand, making him stop in his tracks and look at you. "If you ever need to talk about something, you can always talk to me." You said. He smiled and gently squeezed your hand, which made you blush, before he responded back, "I will. Thank you, (y/n). You really are a wonderful friend." You nodded and, then, you both went back to the same table from earlier and finished eating your lunch.

A month had gone by since you started school and became friends with Glen. Being friends with him was wonderful; he's been walking with you to each of your classes, even though you already knew where to go since your first day, he helps you with your assignments and homework, and he would invite you to eat lunch with him as well. The more you hung out with Glen, the more intense your feelings for him were getting. At first, you thought it was a one day crush because of his good looks and his kindness towards. But, then, you realized that it was love at first sight, which explained why your feelings were growing more intense.

You still kept them to yourself because you didn't want to lose your friendship with Glen and also not get in the way of his relationship with Nancy, who was still acting crazy and was still treating Glen horribly. Whenever you saw the two of them together, she would always start an argument with him and put him down for no reason. You felt bad for Glen as he always looked sad after she would walk away from him. He hasn't said a word to you about he was feeling with his relationship with Nancy, but you knew that deep down, he wasn't happy.

It was around the afternoon as you were in the library working on some assignments for your classes. Then, out of nowhere, you heard a familiar voice say, "Hey, (y/n)." You got spooked for a second until you looked up and saw Glen standing next to you. "Oh. Hey, Glen. You always find pleasure in surprising me out of nowhere?" You said. "Maybe. Anyway, the reason why I'm here is because I have something to tell you, (y/n)." Glen explained. "What is it?" You asked. "It's—uh—I...need your help finding a book for a book report in our English class." He told you, somewhat hesitantly.

You furrowed your eyebrows, in confusion. "Book report? We don't have a book report in our English class." "It's for extra credit." Glen added, quickly. You were still confused by his actions and for a so-called book report. But you got up from your chair and questioned, "What kind of book did you have in mind?" "I'll show you." Glen answered, and, then, he took your hand and walked very quickly towards the back of the library.

Once the two of you ended up in the last aisle that was in the very back of the library where no one could see you both, you looked at Glen, who seemed a little nervous. "Um, there's some books up on the top shelf that I can't decide what to choose. Could you look up there for me please, (y/n)?" He asked. "Um, sure, Glen." You said, and, then, you looked up at the books lined up at top shelf. They weren't even literature; they were foreign language textbooks. You began to slowly turn your head back to face him before you started to say, "Glen, these aren't for—"

But before you could say anything more, Glen immediately pressed his lips against yours. He placed his hands gently on your cheeks and started kissing you desperately, but tenderly as if he's been waiting a long time to do it. You were completely taken by surprise when he kissed you, but you melted into the kiss for a moment until you quickly pulled away and looked straight at him.

"Glen, what are you doing? You're in a relationship with Nancy." You said. He sighed, sadly, before he responded, "That's what I was gonna tell you, (y/n). I broke up with Nancy yesterday night. I couldn't deal with her treating me horribly anymore and her craziness. She's been stressing out and I haven't been getting that much sleep because of her calling me in the middle of the night." "Aw, I'm sorry, Glen. I completely understand and you didn't deserve to be treated like that by her. But why did you kiss me?" You asked.

"That's what I was also gonna to tell you too. I've been hiding my feelings for you because of my relationship with Nancy. But since the day I met you, I couldn't stop thinking you and your beautiful face and your kind words. You're nothing like Nancy and you're the only one who has made me feel happy again whenever I was with you." Glen explained. You were completely flabbergasted after he said all that to you. It was exactly what it was like with you and your own crush just happened to feel the same way towards you.

"You really mean it, Glen?" "Every word, (y/n)." Glen answered. Then, without hesitating, you wrapped your arms around his neck and you pressed your lips against his, with Glen kissing you back and holding you close to him. It felt wonderful to kiss his soft lips, especially when it was your very first kiss.

All of a sudden, you both heard someone clearing their throat, making you and Glen pull away from the kiss and look who it was. It was the head librarian and she was wearing a green and red striped sweater and she had a sinister expression on her face. "No kissing in the library, you two, or I will give you detention!" She warned you and Glen. "Uh, y-yes, Mrs. Graves!" Glen said, and, then, he took your hand and the two of you ran past her.

"She's so strange and she gives me a psychic vibe." You commented, while you grabbed your stuff. "Yeah, I know and that sweater doesn't suit her at all." Glen said. Unbeknownst to you and Glen, the librarian turned her head completely around and watched the two of you walking out of the library, with a deep sinister demon-like chuckle and a razor gloved hand rising up.
