Chapter 6: The Truth (Part 1)

Okay, I just wanted to fill in some things.

Theo's my OC. His full name will be revealed here, so just you wait!

He has dark hair with blue eyes, sometimes mistaken for indigo since it's kind of dark. His hair is somewhat messy. He's at least 5'8 foot with slender arms (HA! Slender!) and long legs. So others think he's a 6 footer while in reality he's really not. He's kind of a flirtatious but he's really a nice guy. I think that's all you needed to know, hehe.

(Fun fact: I forgot doing a "Blahblah blah...." ~whowhowho things that like that in the previous chapter. I think I'm going to edit that.)

On with the story!

"Well, it's been a while since I've seen someone like me but we're quite different too in a way, which is far more interesting than the book I'm reading!" ~Theo

"We're actually the same?"

"Wh-What?"

Theo grinned to the mirror, not looking back since he's driving. Savannah caught the look and turned to him, confused and curious, just like a cat. Theo laughed at the expression Savannah was making. He shifted gears once again, as he turned to a corner, still grinning like an idiot.

Pouting, she crosses her arms. "Hey, you going to answer my question?"

Stopping slowly in front of his house, he looked back, not turning off the engine yet.

"I asked first, for your information."

Savannah huffed but answered nevertheless, "I'm just like this. But right now," she smiles a little as she remembers something mysterious from Theo, "I'm a Creepypasta." She admitted, looking away from Theo, whom she expected to scream or laugh at her. Maybe laugh would be better than screaming.

"Heh, those Creepypastas still working? Shit, I'm going to get killed one of these days."

Looking back with surprise evident on her face, she tilts her head. "Wh-What? Y-You're not scared of me? Of the Creepypastas?" Theo shrugged and finally turned off the engine, climbing out of the car and opening the door for Savannah. Savannah looked at him, but he signaled her to talk inside his house. Nodding, she went straight for the door and went inside, Theo following after.

After the two had gotten inside, Theo spoke out, "Well, yeah, I'm not scared."

Savannah shook her head with a frown. "I don't get you. I can kill you right here, right now."

Theo went to the coffee maker, grinning. "You can't and you wouldn't." Savannah glared at him as she felt like being challenged by a human. The fact that a simple human could challenge her just made her annoyed, she hated that.

As Theo turned around to face her, something changed about his appearance.

She gasps.

"Wh-What...y-you're..."

Theo's grin never did wiped off of his face. His black ears twitched in as slow way as his tail moved back and forth in an amused way. His teeth, which she didn't noticed, grew longer, even longer than hers.

"W-Wait, wait, wait," she started, looking at him in awe as she continued, "Y-You're like me." The way she said it was like she didn't believe it, Theo didn't understand that. He was standing right in front of her, so what's with the doubting tone?

"Yeah, I guess," He said, looking at her with focused eyes. "But I guess there's a different thing too," Narrowing her eyes on the man she once thought was a human, she bit her lip from bursting words that will come out of her mouth in shock. Sighing, she sits on the dining chair, leaning on the table.

"And what's our difference?"

Sipping a little coffee, he hides a mischievous smile behind the mug. "You can hide your form from humans right? Even me." Savannah nodded in a slow way, as if trying to process where the conversation going and what's it about. Answering a dry reply, she says, "Yes.."

"But I can hide it any time I want, even from you Creepypastas."

Humming in a way she understood it, she nods. "So you mean," she licked her dry lips, "That I can hide this form from you and you can hide it from me any time you want, but you can see it when you're transformed?"

Shrugging, he snorts. "I think that's how it works, so yes."

Savannah shook her head, "I still don't get it." Raising his eyebrow, he smirks, as if stifling a laugh fit from coming out.

"You just said it."

"That was a hunch," Savannah said, grinning in a proud way. Theo shook his head, finally drinking the last drop of coffee. Laughing a little, he shrugs lazily and out the mug in the sink. He sighs as he leans on the counter, looking at Savannah. Her cat ears and tail disappeared and he guessed she just made it visible.

"Ahhhh, now I get it." He states in a bored tone somehow. Savannah rose an eyebrow.

"You're transformed all the time and can only make it invisible or visible if you want in front of a human but can't make it invisible to Creepypastas. While I, on the other hand, I'm not always transformed, only when I want to."

Savannah nodded, yawning. "All this thinking gives me a headache." Theo laughed, "Sorry." Savannah nodded and went to the couch, lying down as her cat ears and tail appeared again. Theo rose an eyebrow at this. Yawning again, she shifted, trying to find a comfortable position. Theo sat on the sofa across it.

He stops transforming and went back to normal. "Hey, don't sleep on me, I've got more questions for you."

Savannah groaned, turning her whole body to look to him, pouting. "What?" Theo sighed, frowning as he remembered the words spoken by _________. Looking back to the girl, he leans on, his chin resting on his palm. Licking his now dry lips, he gulped, his throat going dry too.

Sighing, his blue eyes gazed at blue-green ones.

"Why is _________ important to you?"

Savannah sat up abruptly, making Theo flinch a little and lean back on the chair. Theo furrowed his eyebrows as it matched with his confused frown. Savannah looked at him with a sadden look, making Theo panic. He doesn't like it when someone is sad. Especially Savannah.

"Hey, hey, it's alright.."

Glaring her blue-green eyes to the man, her teeth grew longer than she expected and her nails grew long too. Hissing in a cruel way, her eyes widened as she saw Theo not even flinching or getting scared by these actions. Theo simply had the calmest look on his face and smiled.

He smiled.

Her eyes softened and she went back to normal, mumbling, "Sorry."

Theo laughed, shaking his head. "Nah, it's fine. Your emotions are just taking control of you, I'm glad you didn't went over the board though." Savannah sighed and nodded, "I know we shouldn't do that, do don't lecture me about it." Theo grinned and leaned back on the chair, nodding in a way that irritated Savannah a little.

"Answer my question."

Savannah pouted at the straightforward request but nodded. "Well, we met a long time ago and we've been friends you know? When I heard she was missing, I grew greedy on finding her. Then, Slenderman just appeared out of nowhere--"

"Wait, Slenderman? 'The' Slenderman?"

Savannah nodded slowly. "Yeah...why? What about him?" Theo smirked and said to dismiss the idea, so he let her continue. Savannah shrugged it off, hoping when she come back to the Creepypastas, she'll have an answer from Slendy. Anyway, back to the point. Shifting to another comfortable position, she decided to sit beside Theo.

Theo signaled her to stay put while he makes orange juice. Nodding as she but her lip, her eyes light like a Christmas tree. Chuckling, Theo went to the kitchen and made orange juice. After a while, Theo came back holding two glasses of orange juice. She jumped and snatched the other one, gulping its contents.

Then, she continued.

"And then, he offered me to be a Creepypasta, I said okay. And that's where I found ________. I was really happy when I found her with her boyfriend--"

Theo spilt the juice, spitting it out in a rude manner. Theo looked at her, disbelief on his face along with gaping mouth. Savannah looked at him with a confused look before she processed what Theo's face meant. She laughed, the voice ringing in both Theo's ears. Suddenly, she grinned, her fangs showing a little.

"I want to surprise you who's her boyfriend, well, actually, fiancé! You'll know him because we're going to see him!"

Theo nodded, gulping all the orange juice in the glass in one drink. Putting the glass forcefully yet gently on the table, he turned to Savannah. Grabbing her hand as he pulled him up to stand, she didn't struggle one bit. He grins. "Let's meet him now."

Savannah nodded, somehow excited to bring the news to Jeff.

|TimeSkip|

"Okay....huh...haaaa...we're...here..."

Savannah giggled and jumped out of his arms, dusting herself for some reason. Looking back slightly, she saw Theo leaning to a tree, panting heavily than she expected. She grinned mischievously, pulling him by the arm as they went in the cabin's front porch. It looked more of a mansion, though, but Theo didn't even bother to ask.

Not even knocking, which Theo found quite rude, they went in. Theo's eyes widened at the sight of Creepypastas running around, playing, talking, reading, well, what they do in their spare time. Savannah looked around, her eyes glancing to everyone as if she's finding someone. Then, everyone stopped as they looked at Savannah with curious eyes that asked who was the man behind her.

At first, she didn't really want them to be introduced, but they're her only family.

Coughing to catch the others' attentions, she finally saw all of them looked at her weirdly. Slenderman appeared before her, seeming to be angry at her. Squeaking like a mouse would be, she hid behind Theo, whose eyes were fascinated on the tall man in front of them. Cowering in fear, Savannah tapped Theo lightly on the shoulder. As if knowing what that was, Theo looked up a to Slenderman, extending a hand to shake.

"The name's Theo."

Slenderman crossed his long arms, raising an eye ridge. Savannah whispered something, oh so softly that only Theo's sharp hearing could. Sighing a little, Theo coughed and put the extended arm to his side, doing what Savannah said, he says it again but this time different.

"My name is Theodore Simon Fox. But just call me, Theo. I am 27 years old, and a cat like Savannah. Pleased to meet 'The' Slenderman, heh."

Savannah looked at him, first time hearing his full name from his lips. She didn't know this since they didn't really have time to do so and since she became a cat, how the heck would she ask. Shaking off those thoughts, she looked at Slenderman, determined.

Slenderman sighed, nodding. "You're like Savannah, you say?" Theo nodded, "Apparently." Slenderman took off his gaze towards the boy, looking towards Savannah, who was still behind Theo, fearing something will happen. Shrugging, he nods again. And finally, he disappeared, making Savannah let out a sigh of relief which she didn't know she was holding.

"Oooooh, didn't know you were 'Theodore'!" Savannah spoke out, laughing half-heartedly because of what happened a while ago. Theo shrugged but rose an eyebrow at her. "You didn't really ask, you know." Savannah rolled her eyes, mumbling, "Whatever." to him as the Creepypastas went to them, somehow enraged, which made both of them confused.

Jane glared at Theo. "Why does Savannah has bandages all around her body?"

Savannah pouted, looking at her body and the bandages were still there. Sighing, Theo looked at Savannah, as if asking something they could only understand by eyeing each other. Laughing Jack didn't laugh and it was creepy, creepier than his normal laugh. Theo sighs yet again as he spoke oth the truth.

"Well, she got into an accident. I hit her with a car accidentally and--"

"OH, WE'RE RIPPING YOUR ORGANS OUT." Eyeless Jack shouted. Savannah bangs her head on the wall, annoyed. "Let the man finish for glob's sake!" All of them went quiet and Theo looked at her gratefully while Savannah just nods, letting him continue in silence.

"And then I treated her, she's fine now. So yeah. I think that's all."

Grinning, Savannah stood up. "Not really, I have great news guys! But first, where's Jeff?" Theo looked at her weirdly with a hint of confusion. "Jeff the Killer?" Theo asked, pulling her and tugging her a little on the arm. Proudly nodding, Savannah's grin didn't wipe off. The door opened, making them look back to see who they were talking about.

"Heard my name," Jeff breathed, smiling as he saw Savannah. "Hey, I've been finding you, where have you been?" He asked, making Savannah jump in excitement. When she couldn't stand it, she hugged him, making him off balance, and almost fall. This made Theo frown as thoughts of confusion swirled in his mind.

"I've found her! I've found _________!"

"WHAT!" All of them shouted, Slenderman even appeared to had shouted too.

Putting the pieces together, Theo finally understood. Jeff pushed back Savannah quite roughly, which Theo caught her just in time as she fell. Savannah looked up at Jeff, a frown and with knitted eyebrows. Jeff gazed down her, surprised as his mouth was gaping. Jeff couldn't believe this. Pulling her up with his help, Theo glared slightly at Jeff. Savannah's ears were flattened and her tail hung low between her legs.

Jeff dismissed it. "Are you sure it's her?"

Savannah nodded, a warm smile on her face now. "Yes! Yes! Right, Theo? Theo is her best friend! And it's lucky I saw her and had met him that time!" She said, her eyes bright with glee, her ears twitching once in a while, and her tail swishing back and forth in delight yet again. Jeff turned his gaze to the man, called, "Theo", he didn't know if he could trust this guy though.

As if reading his mind, Savannah spoke up, "Don't worry, you could trust him. He really saved me when I got into an accident." Jeff looked back at her, bewildered at the news. Theo just nodded, seeming off.

Jeff sighed. "Does she know me?"

Theo was now the one speaking, "About that," he gulped, hesitating whether to tell his best friend's fiancé the news, because he knew it'd hurt him. Continuing was the only way, "She went into coma about six months ago and she couldn't remember a thing. All she knows is that the one who brought her to the hospital is her 'mom' and 'dad.'"

Jeff looked sadden, and he collapsed on the couch, looking up to the ceiling in a cold way.

"Ugh, please don't tell me she completely forgot about me.."

He couldn't cry in front of his family, really. Savannah frowned, her ears stopped it's twitching and her tail stopped swishing back and forth like it did a while ago. Nudging with her elbow, Savannah looked at Theo with pleading eyes. Theo didn't know what to do, they had only met just now and he didn't think of any encouraging words until he remembered something.

"Well, I guess not really,"

Jeff looked at him, his blue eyes somehow turning into black ones in hatred. "What do you mean?" He spat, annoyed. Theo shrugged it off, knowing what he's feeling now somehow.

"Just a while ago, we talked about something she's been wondering about. She said she saw the news about a girl missing who has the same name and eyes like hers. And then, the same hair since now she knows her hair was just dyed not permanently and wasn't natural,"

Slightly glancing at Savannah, she gave him a confused look, catching him. Grinning a little, all of them sat down as Theo will continue his story of what ________ had talked about in Starbucks, when Savannah was just "Kitty." Sitting close to Savannah, he breathes heavily, a sign that he'd continue the story.

"Savannah probably didn't heard this but, she said she had dreams. But it felt like it really was real and wasn't only a dream. The dream was about her getting married to a guy.."

All of them muttered something, like a curse. Savannah sighed sadly, remembering the day the wedding was ruined because of those guys. Gritting her teeth and gripping the soft fabricated sofa, she looked down on the ground, glaring her blue-green orbs on it. Her hand, which was formed into a fist now, felt someone touched it. Looking up slowly, she saw Theo smiling. Her head turns back to their hands, which were now intertwined.

Blushing, she looked away. Jeff smiled a bit at the two.

"And then the wedding got ruined by an explosion, blurry faces were seen but all she could remember was the name 'Jeff'."

Listening intently, Jeff smiled a little bit more because of that and hope was coming back. Savannah gripped on Theo's hand, worried. Theo grinned, assuring her it'll all be fine and they're gonna get their _________ back. A tint of red went to her cheeks, but she smiled nonetheless.

"Alright, we're gonna get her."

Savannah looked at him and jumped abruptly but it didn't surprise Theo.

"No! At least not yet. We need her to remember first by giving her signs, I wouldn't want her being scared."

Theo licked his dry lips and shook his head. "She knows Creepypastas but she thinks you guys are only fiction." All of them frowned at that as the memories scribbled their way in their heads, making them more determined to get ________ as soon as possible. Savannah sat back down, sighing as she looks at Theo.

"Theo,"

"Hm?"

"Are you sure?"

Laughing a little bit, Theo nodded. Giving her a nip on the nose, he walks away and went with Slenderman in the kitchen, hoping to help them to make dinner. Her face heated up and she felt numb all over. Jeff looked at her as they were the only ones left. Chuckling, Jeff was going to be not by a pillow, which is thrown aimlessly so he dodges it with ease.

"Hey, what do you feel?"

Savannah looked down, still blushing. "Um, embarrassed but happy and I feel numb."

Jeff laughed. "You know, some say that you're inlove when that happens unlike the heart beating so fast and your knees going jelly." Savannah didn't look at him this time, probably embarrassed at what he said. Jeff grinned and went to her side.

"Hey, just be careful, I don't want you being broken hearted when _________ comes back."

Smiling, she mumbles a "Thank you and I will."

Jeff smiled sadly, "Of course, always."

|To Reader-chan|

"___________?"

"Yes, mom?" You said, not even turning around from your (gadget). You heard her ascending the stairs but you could careless as you continue looking for posts.

"What is that?" You heard a voice behind you and you flinched, finally turning around to see your mom, you sighed in relief.

"Just posts of Creepypastas, I love them!" You exclaimed and didn't hear your 'mother' reply as you heard her descend the stairs. But after a while, you heard banging and the footsteps raging as they walk up the stairs. You looked back and saw your 'mother' holding a bat, frowning.

"You even found that again? I guess I'll make you forget about them, again."

Your eyes widened as your head and the bat collided with each other. She swung it another time, this time more gentler. You looked around, your vision getting blurry and your head stinging with pain as you spoke, "Why.."

She grinned devilishly, hovering you.

"Because you'll be one of us, but not yet."

Quickly, the world faded and you were seeped in by the darkness.

The last thing you muttered was, "Jeff.."

"_________..."

Blinking, you quickly closed your eyes. You groaned, feeling yourself getting a head ache.

"Oh, she's alive, thank you doctor!"

Squinting your eyes for you to get used to the light, you smile a little as you saw your 'parents'. Clutching onto your 'mother's' shirt, you smile but then frowned as the your head hurts. Worrying, they quickly shift you to a comfortable position, in which you slept in.

"She'll be one of us. Don't worry, you won't have to do that again."

Sighing, the woman nodded, her brown eyes staring at the girl coldly.
