Phil slowly opened the door. " Y....Yes?"

" Are you Phillip Lester?"

" Yes sir?"

" Do you happen to know anything about breaking into a young lady's house?"

" No sir. You see, she's my ex because-"

" Well, that would make sense. Try to get beck at her I assume?"

" NO! She's trying to get back at me!-"

" Enough. We're taking you to the station until we have further evidence. Though I clearly see enough. What with all your fingerprints and everything. "

The police looked over Phil's shoulder. " What do you want boy?"

Dan swallowed, but then stood taller. " Sir, this girl's other boyfriend broke into OUR apartment and took my phone to try and frame me for doing something to Phil. "

The police scratched his head. " Really? What's the kid's name?"

" Tyler Olward. If you need any evidence, it's on my phone. I didn't delete the messages in case something happened like this. She's been trying to do stuff to Phil ever since. "

The police looked back and forth at the two boys, then sighed. " Your name is?"

" Daniel Howell."

" Right, Daniel Howell, let me see your phone. I'll need it for evidence. And Phillip, don't leave the country or anything, understood?"

Phil swallowed. " Yes sir. "

Phil looked at Dan. " I'm glad you're my best friend, because it means that I will never be alone. I will always have someone to be beside me at my worst times. "

Dan's eyes watered. " Thank you Phil. "
