Hello fellow  earthlings! lol How is everyone today? I am stoked to be back in school and our teachers are equally ecstatic too. I can tell that they all missed us so much that on our first day, they all showered the class with pop quizzes and assignments. The amount of home work we have to do is enough to cause a short circuit in Nathan's brain rendering his facial expression in a permanent bewildered and baffled look!

Anywho, the reason why I am here writing a blog is because I have been summoned again by Marykelly to help her with her mail correspondence and I can't wait to tattle about it to you all. For those people who are living under a rock, she is one of Lakeview High School's famous alumni and author of the book series The Star Crossed Starlings which is one of my favorite books along with Tolkien's Lord of the Rings and Stephen King's IT.

I received an emphatic email from her during my Math class with Mrs. Spengler. The subject read URGENT in big bold fonts. It perked my curiosity so I decided to open the letter and read its full content. Unfortunately, I got caught by my math teacher using my phone in class and I nearly got detention but as luck would have it, Mrs. Spengler is a Star Crossed Starlings fan! She hosts a podcast together with another teacher, Ms. Deveraux discussing everything under the sun and she devoted two episodes of their show dissecting Star Crossed Starlings and how the book influenced non readers to read. So yeah, the moment she found out it was Marykelly who sent the email, I was instantly exonerated from detention.

Once school was done, I skated straight to her house in warp speed. She lives two streets down from where I live so it was no hassle at all. Nathan wanted to tag along so I let him join me so, while I made myself cozy in front of her bad ass Alienware gaming computer, waiting for the programs to load, my buddy Nathan is busy digging Marykelly's garden for earthworms. I forgot to tell you, we are going fishing with my honey sugar sweet, Raven and Mariella tomorrow at Lake Shimmer that's why  Gollum was very busy worm hunting.

Being Marykelly's unofficial personal assistant, she gave me access to most of her social media accounts. From her Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest what have you... I have free reign. When I am on her computer, she allows me to manage her twitter feed too. She lets me reply to her followers, re-tweet her updates and news about her appearances and book tours and occasionally posting comical tweets.

She does gets a sizeable amount of mail both snail and electronic. I sort her tangible letters first by state and for overseas fans, by country of origin before I check her inbox which contain hundreds of unread messages.

I looked through her list of mails and successfully found what I was looking for. The note looked like a chain letter with a title Tag You're IT and its consisted of six questions that I have to answer.Jesus Christ! Another pop quiz! Will this day never end?

After a cursory read, I learned that the letter sender is also a writer like her and based on my google research, he wrote a heart warming story about a human turkey buzzard?! WTF?! Oh sorry I stand corrected, its a bird hybrid of some sort and its narrative ain't  fluffy at all. This is one serious science fiction, fantasy,  adventure story.

Marykelly didn't give me any specific instructions on how to reply but I gave my very best to answer the questions as honestly as I can. I will only tell the truth, write the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help me God. Before I pressed send, I had Kelly check what I wrote and she gave it a tick of approval. She did order me to delete the phrase I love you and I miss you from the post script...ahaha! She said and I quote "What are you thinking? Are you out of your mind?! Delete that or I will break your fingers!" CLASSIC!

1. The Meaning behind the twitter username

I am a Harry Potter fan and my Scribbling_Myrtle username is my salute to my fellow Ravenclaw and student ghost, Moaning Myrtle. I do have a lot of nicknames online especially back when I used to be an avid gamer.

(That is so true. The woman has many aliases you will think she is some kind of spy!)

2. Favorite Book

I love George RR Martin's A song of Ice and Fire series, JK Rowling's Harry Potter, James Owen's The Chronicles of Imaginarium Geographica.

(Hmmm, that's actually a good question. She loves books, I can tell you that. She has a bookcase overflowing with reading materials from different genres. She has books on ancient weapons, siege craft and castle defenses, artbooks from Assassins Creed, The Song of Ice and Fire, Harry Potter, Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time etc., UFOlogy,  Cryptozoology and the list goes on. It's funny how she delves on fantasy, history, the uncanny and yet she writes comedy.

She has a couple of Tolkien books even though I know she has a hard time reading Tolkien's writing style unlike me. I don't want to toot my own horn here but I can read and write Quenya and Sindarin, Elvish languages created by Tolkien himself..

Oh my God, I just remembered something worth mentioning. I forgot to include her all time favorite book in the list! I am talking about The Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. Yes folks, both MK and Jet are Twihard fans ..lol While my corpse-like emo friend Jet sided with the Vampire, Marykelly opted to be with the Wolf pack or the shape shifters. OMG, right? lol I saw a copy of the new book, Midnight Sun on her bay window. It's actually not a new story. It's still the same story of Bella and Edward in Twilight but this time the POV was focused on the vampire Edward where as in the Twilight series, it's mostly from Bella's point of view. I swear to God, the book is dictionary thick and yet Jet read the whole crap in one sitting. If only he showed the same interest when we were asked to read and do a report on Homer's Iliad then he would have gotten an A instead of a measly B).

3. What is your icon/background

My background is a picture of me on skates taken at Santa Monica Beach while my profile pic is a picture of myself with a skateboard.

(Just like Raven, she is an inline skater. The only difference is Raven uses an aggressive skate so she can grind and do skate tricks while MK owns a pair of urban skates).

4. What books do you write/ if you write

I write teen comedy and my stories resonates the Seinfeld pitch --- the story about nothing.

(She particularly love this reply. I have to give credit to Nathan because when it comes to UFO and aliens, my buddy Nathan is our Fox Mulder. I was running out of quirky stuffs to write so I asked Nathan for help. Instantly, he wrote something that totally reflected Kelly's love for the bizarre and the unknown).
