James POV:

I woke up hung over because of last night. It was crazy! Sirius and Marlene are in his room doing god knows what.
"SIRIUS" I call running into his room
"Yes" he says surprisingly full clothed and sitting oh a chair with Marlene on his lap
"What went on last night"
"We talked all night" Marlene says kissing his cheek
"Oh" I say surprised
"How's Evans" Sirius asks
"Good I hope" I say smirking
"You really do like her don't you" Marlene says shaking her head and giggling as Sirius kisses her nose
"I don't like her, I love her" I say as Marlene looks up at me, white as a ghost
"You what"
"I'm in love with Lily Evans and I have been since 8th grade" I say as Marlene gets up from Sirius' lap
"Have you told her that"
"She won't even say yes to a date Marls" I say flopping on the bed
"Do something cute" she says just before Sirius picks up his phone and leaves the room
"I'm thinking of driving to her house and taking her out surprisingly" I say throwing a ball to Marlene
"Do that, but make it sound less creepy" she says throwing the ball back to me
"That sounds good" I say getting up
"Well good luck big bro" she says hugging me
"Thanks baby sis"
"MAR" Sirius yells
"Yea babe"
"Let's go tell my mom and dad we're together" he says
"I still can't believe you live here and call the potters 'mom and dad'" said Marlene
"Yea well they're my family" he says
"I wanna see this show, let's go" I say as we all walk down the stairs
"Mom, dad Sirius has something to say" I say making way for Sirius and Marlene
"Mommy, daddy...I'm going on a date"
"With who honey" mom says smiling
"With the beautiful Marlene McKinnon" he says wrapping his hands around her waist
"And I'm going out with your son Sirius" she says kissing his cheek
"Euphemia, it's finally happening" dad says getting up
"You guys are so beautiful together, really congratulations" mom hugs both of them
"Ok I'm gonna go meet lily, later" I say grabbing my leather jacket and leaving

I park near Lily's house and go up to the door and ring the doorbell
"Lily I got it" I hear a girl say
She had blonde hair, dark brown eyes and the complete opposite of lily
"Hello, who are you" she kindly asks
"Hi I'm James Potter and I wanna talk to lily" I say
"Your Potter? Wow I've heard so much about you! Oh by the way I'm Petunia Lily's older sister"
"Can I pleaseeeeee talk to her" I say
"Ok cutie, LILYYYYYYYYYYYY" she yells
"Yes sissy" lily looks down from the top of the staircase
"Someone's here for you"
"Who" she asks
"It's a surprise" Petunia says waving bye to me and walking away
"James?" Lily asks walking down the stairs
"Yes beautiful" I say smirking
She was in her pink pjs with black polka dots, her hair was in a messy low bun, her feet were in fuzzy slippers and she was wearing the most beautiful glasses
"It's 11 in the morning Potter" she says
"I know, get dressed I'm taking you out to breakfast" I say leaning on the doorframe
"Excuse me?" She says
"I'm taking you out, go get dressed" I say
"This is not a date" she says confused
"Evans just go get dressed will you"
"Come in a sit on the couch" she says letting me in

As I sit on the couch waiting for lily, I see a middle aged woman coming near me
"Hi are you the guy lily always talks about...um pooter?"
"Hi I'm James, James Potter" I say charmingly kissing her hand
"I'm Elizabeth Evans, her mother" she says
"It's a pleasure meeting you Mrs Evan" I say
"What are you doing here" she asks
"I'm taking your daughter out to breakfast, not as a date though because she doesn't want to go out with me" I say laughing
"James let's go" lily says running down the stairs in a pink romper with cute white flowers
"M-Mom.." Lily stutters
"Lily honey be safe, not that you need it...you'll be safe with James" she says winking
"Lily have fun" petunia says kissing Lily's head
"Have fun where" a middle aged man asks coming out of a room
"Lily is going out with a boy" Mrs Evans says smiling
"I'm James Potter" I say shaking his hand
"I'm Allan Evans" he says smiling
"Lily talks about you a lot" he says looking at lily and winking
"LETS GO" lily says pushing me out of the door

"Where are we going" she asks getting into my 1977 convertible
"The diner down 7th street" I say
"Ok let's go then" is what I here as as I drive out of the parking spot I was in. We quickly arrive to the diner "Balthazar"

I quickly park, get out of the car and open the door for lily
"Thank you" she says with a smile
"You're welcome"
We go into the diner and sit down at a nice booth. We start talking about classes and our friends. Lily orders pancakes and I order eggs with bacon.
"I really like this place" I say as the check comes
"Me too" lily pulls out her green wallet with pink decorative flowers
"It's on me" I say grabbing the check
"Potter this is way too much" she says as I pull out my wallet and place a £50 bill on the check
"James" she warns
"Did you-" I say looking up at her surprised
"Potter" she fixes as she looks down
"Evans" I say just before I call the waiter and give him the check
"Here's another something" I say giving the waiter a £25 tip
"Thank you sir" he says giving us a smile and opening the door for us as we leave

"Lily I wanna tell you something"
"What is it" she asks
"I'm in l-"
"Don't you dare say to love me..you love the idea of me, not the real me. Don't lie to me" she interrupts

"Who said I'm lying Evans, I'm in love with everything about you. The way you light up at your friends successes. The way you love singing to yourself down your halls. I love the way you smile and push your hair back when your nervous. Lily you are the most amazing person and I'll never get over you. I love you" I say
"Potter don't"
"Don't what, love you? Kiss you? Well too late" I say crashing my lips onto hers. The most amazing sensation hit me! I felt like I'm melting. She dug deeper into the kiss and we stayed like that for a moment or two

We broke apart panting
"You love me?" She ask looking up
"With all my life" I say smiling at her
"Fine Potter, I'll go out with you" she says smiling
I kiss her softly once more
"That's good"
She kisses me again
"Very" she says making me laugh

I can't believe it. I take her out to breakfast and she actually loved it!

I later brought her home
"Thanks for today...James"
"You called me James" I say shocked
"Yes I did"
"You're welcome lily" I say
"You called me lily"
"Is that a problem"
"No I like it" she says kissing me
"YOU GUYS ARE ADORABLE" Petunia yells from the window
"VERY CUTE, IM ROOTING FOR YOU TWO" Mr Evans yells
"YOU NOSEY ANIMALS" Mrs Evans yells then looks out the window
"KISS HER" petunia yells again
And so I do with force and passion but I still managed to make it soft
"That's enough Potter" Allan said making us all laugh
"I'll see you at school Potter" she says winking and going inside

I race back home and up the stairs to see Sirius and Marlene cuddling in bed, watching "90210"
"Lily and I kissed and she agreed to go out with me" I say all excited
"WOAH" Sirius gets up hugging me just before Marlene jumps into my arms
"I'm taking you Remus and peter out right now" I say to Sirius
"Bye babe" he kisses Marlene and we leave
