Chapter 6

The next morning, I awoke to thunder, rain, wind, and basically any other kinds of bad weather. It kind of scared me awake because it was only 7:00. But I smelled something being made downstairs, so I decided to get up. Better being awake now than trying to go back to sleep with all the noise happening outside. I saw Ryan making pancakes in the kitchen.

"Morning Ryan," I said. "Hey Lucille, watch this!" He flipped the pancake from the frying pan quite high. Then it landed right back in the pan. He was quite proud of himself. "Finally! It has taken me months to finally get it to land back in here, usually it'll end up on the floor or on my face, I've been burnt by many pancakes," he laughed to himself. I laughed as well. "They must hate being tossed in the air," I remarked.

"Possibly, yet I keep doing it because I think it's fun, plus a bonus since my face didn't get burnt this time," he said. "But your hand looks like it is," I pointed as I saw his hand resting on the hot stove. "Huh, I never noticed that, yowww," he then lifted his hand and started shaking it. I took the frying pan from him and put it on the counter, then grabbed a paper towel covered in cold water to put on his burnt hand. "Well better your hand than your face," I laughed.

"I guess I have better luck with you here," Ryan smiled. "Do we have a show today?" I wanted to know. "Yes we do, but it isn't until later this afternoon, hopefully the weather will let up then," Ryan looked out the window. It was practically raining cats and dogs out there. "In the meantime though, what should we do?" I asked him curiously. "Well first I should finish breakfast, I actually wasn't expecting you to come down this early," he said.

"The thunder kind of woke me up," I said. "Ooh, I get that," he replied. A couple minutes of him trying not to mess up the rest of breakfast later, he finally finished and we ate. Of all the things he didn't burn, thank goodness it wasn't the food. I got dressed and then came back down to discover Ryan wasn't there. He left a note on the table that just said, "Will be right back."

Better kill some time by maybe exploring the rest of this house something. It was quite a huge set up and I doubt I've seen everything. I found a couple empty rooms that were mostly closed off and a few big places which I would assume were just storage rooms. There was this one room though that I stumbled across and it really made me smile.

A room that looked like a comedy set up stage. It had the little stage with a microphone on it, curtains on the side, chairs for the audience, and a little bar on the side with stools. This was honestly amazing. Ryan had his own little comedy club room. "I see you found my most favorite room in this house," Ryan snuck up behind me. I jumped where I was standing and almost fell. "Uh yeah," was all I could answer since I almost had a heard attack right there on the spot.

"Sorry about that," he laughed. "I just went to get something, or someone actually." "Who?" I asked. "Me!" Jeff came out from behind Ryan. "Jeff!" I said excitedly and ran up to hug him. "How was your first night here in the Stiles Suite?" He joked. "It was good," I answered. "Once the weather clears up, we were going to head to the studio together, we got a call that Colin got sick and won't be there today, so I'm taking his place," Jeff said. "Aw, I hope Colin's ok," I said a little down.

"Oh don't worry, he just has a cold from being out in the rain too long," Ryan said. "What was he doing out in the rain?" I got a little confused. "Heck if we know, he's Colin!" Jeff laughed. That comment caused us all to laugh right there. I was so happy that Ryan brought Jeff here. When you think about it, next to Ryan and Wayne, he's quite amazing at impressions and there's really no denying it! I've seen him do quite a lot of them when I used to watch Whose Line at my foster home. He wasn't on the show too often, but I'm happy now he is a recurring person like the others.

We did some comedy warmups on the stage in that room. We went one at a time while the others were sitting in the audience. Jeff and Ryan made me go first. Though with the warmups, we were mostly given scenes from a hat scenarios. Jeff decided to give me, "Weird famous last words." I had to think about this one, but then I had something. "I'm a comedia-" I cut out and died right there.

Ryan then said, "Rejected Jeopardy Categories." I had an immediate idea for this one. "I'll take giant human giraffes for 200 please," I cracked up. Jeff looked over at Ryan and also began laughing. "Very funny," he grinned. I bowed. Once we did a couple more of those, the time really went by fast, it was already 2:00 pm. We all got ready for the show. It was also just a light drizzle outside so that was good.

Jeff and Ryan came down in their suits, while I had on my favorite blouse with black leggings. Basically what I think as dressing up nice, which Ryan and Jeff liked. When we arrived at the studio, Drew and Wayne were there waiting for us. "Welcome to today's episode, I can guarantee this will definitely be a good one," Drew smiled at us all. We got out microphones on and the audience began filing in.

As I took my spot in the chair next to Wayne and Jeff, something caught my attention in the audience. I couldn't believe the people who had just arrived. It was my foster family!?
