The next morning when I woke up, the weather seemed rather neutral. Just cloudy and a little gloomy, but didn't look like much. Not as sunny and beautiful as yesterday, but I won't complain because I've got another show today! I went to the meeting area where I only saw Caroline, she didn't look too happy, almost sad. "What's going on?" I asked her. "Alex is gone," she let a tear slip. "What do you mean gone? What happened?" I got extremely confused. She handed me a note that only had a couple of words on it.

   That's very strange of him, well stranger than normal, I knew he was weird and somewhat mean to me, but this is different and I really don't know how to feel. "Why must my children always leave me so soon," she began sobbing. "Look I'm really sorry, but I have to get to the studio," I tried my best to escape in a way, but Caroline immediately stood up. "No you are not young lady, you have a lot of chores to do," she said sternly.

   "What how? I thought we didn't do chores in the morning?" I questioned. "Well now you do, go do the laundry, and I mean everyone's laundry," she pointed. "Bu-" "No buts!" She raised her voice. I sulked my way to each room to collect laundry. This isn't like Caroline, she's never acted the stern type. She never raises her voice. I didn't think she liked Alex that much. What makes this worse is I'll be late for the show! I might miss the show and be replaced at the last minute!

   But there was one choice that I had to make, something that in a million years I would never do. Sneak out. I was never that kind of child to disobey adults and just straight up leave, I'm too much of a goody two shows for that, but now I have no choice, I gotta do it. Once everything was in the washing machine, I quietly made my way back to my room to escape through the window. I'm so glad I had my room on the first level because it wasn't that high.

   Once I made it out, I sped my way to the studio, making sure I wouldn't get caught by anyone. Once I arrived, the audience were all in their seats waiting for the show to begin. "Lucille where have you been?" Wayne came up to me all fast like. "I'm sorry, problems at the house," I was so out of breath it was hard to talk. "We're so glad you're here though, we thought you'd miss the show," he got a little worried. "I would never miss this show," I breathed.

   Wayne took me to my dressing room where Drew, Ryan, Colin, and 3 other guys were there too. "Lucille!" Ryan noticed and came over to embrace me. "This is Jeff, Chip, and Greg," Drew introduced the 3. "Oh my gosh! I've seen you guys on the show before!" I got too excited. "We've seen you too and you're pretty good at the comedy game," Jeff complimented. "Thank you!" I had a huge smile on my face. "Was one of them going to replace me?" I asked Drew.

   "Well actually I invited them because Chip wanted us all to hang out at his place after the show," Drew said. "Really?" I looked over at him. "Of course! Everyone on this show wants to welcome you to the Improv Family!" He said. "You guys are honestly way too nice to me," I smiled again. "But you deserve it, anyway let's get on with the show," Drew headed out to his place in the audience, while a crew member attached my microphone. Jeff, Chip, and Greg watched from the side and the whole time they were cracking up with the audience.

   Wow, I make comedians laugh! Who knew? The cameras then turned off and we were done for the day. I wonder how Caroline is doing? Wait, I don't want to know because she'll be super furious when she sees my face in that house when I return. I started sweating and sort of heavy breathing. My heart was beating at an alarming rate.

   "Sweetheart are you alright?" Ryan came up to me and put both his hands on my shoulders. "Breathe, just breathe," he was trying to help. "I'm fine," I told him, but he knew something was wrong with me. "Now what caused that little panic attack?" He questioned. "I.." I trailed off because I couldn't find the words. "Ok, you don't have to tell me now, or at all for your liking, but you know you can trust me, we're all here for you when you need it," he said so soothingly that I felt so safe just being in his presence.

   "Hey guys you coming?" Colin called to us from the studio doors. "Yes we are," I grabbed Ryan's hand and we headed in Colin's direction. There were 3 cars and I went with Ryan, Wayne, and Jeff. I sat in the back with Jeff. He was such a funny character and honestly good looking too! I was so happy I finally got to meet him! We went into Chip's house and it was quite a nice set up. "Lucille," a voice next to me said. "Step into the middle." I knew it was Greg and smiled as I stood and walked to the middle of the circle we were all sitting in.

   "Prove to us that you are a member!" Greg continued. "What do I do?" I asked. "Slap Drew in the face," Ryan added quickly. I cracked up there because I didn't expect that response coming. "Hey!" Drew yelled at him. "You must do a hoedown for us and your topic is Improv!" Greg finished. Oh god, I'm bad at hoedowns and it's super easy to mess up. But then I heard the music and knew that it was now or never.

"I love improv, I think it's really sweet. There's nothing else I'd rather do, it's really hard to beat. Thinking of things on the spot really isn't easy. But most things Colin says are always quite cheesy." "Always quite cheesy!" The others sang with me while Colin cringed. Then they clapped and I took a bow. "Impressive, you really are one of us!" Wayne stood up to cheer. This moment honestly needs to last forever, I never want it to end! I never want to go back to that foster home.

   I mean I'll miss the others there, especially Samantha, she really felt like a little sister to me. But Caroline, now I'm scared of here. Unfortunately all good things come to an end and Ryan drove me back. "We'll see you next week for the show," he smiled. "Thank you Ryan," I said. "Lucille." "Yes?" I looked back to him. "If there's anything you ever need, here's my number," he handed me a tiny piece of paper. "You're the best," I told him and just had to hug him.

   Ughh he's so sweet! But my world went to darkness as soon as I went through the door. "And just where were you!?" Caroline got loud. I thought I was gonna have a heart attack right there on the spot. "Uh.." I couldn't speak, I was too frightened. "Get up to your room right now!" She yelled again. I ran right passed her to my room. She came behind me though and slammed the door shut. What I heard from the outside though happened to be multiple keys turning.

No. She didn't. She locked me in!
