“Please just let me borrow it–”

“No.”

“I'll come back quic–”

“No.”

“Then drive me–”

“No.”

“Then let me borrow i–”

“No.”

“Why not?”

“Because I said so”

“Soobin, come on! Just this once–”

“I said no.”

Yeonjun huffed, “Fine!” he glared at Soobin's back and pouted with his arms crossed. The younger male wasn't even sparing him a single glance as he was too engrossed at the folders laying bare at the study table he was currently working at. Soobin would've probably snapped at the elder and yelled at him to shut up and leave him alone but he was actually starting to get used with the male's antics and learning that he can really be annoying at times.

Scratch that. Yeonjun is annoying most of the times.

Especially when he wants something.

And like what Soobin stated, he was learning, and one of the things he learned was that Yeonjun will eventually stop when ignored. And that's exactly what he's gonna do since Yeonjun would most likely start pestering him again in 3.... 2....1–

“Listen, Soobin– just give me your car keys and you won't hear me talking anymore.” The brunette tried to bargain, walking over to Soobin's left side but the busy male turned to his right.

“Okay, if you don't wanna stand up I'll get it myself. Just tell me where it is.”

He went to Soobin's right side this time but the younger turned once again, acting as if he was getting a much needed document and there was nobody talking.

Yeonjun then noticed what he was doing and move side to side to confirm his conclusion and as expected, Soobin turned away from where he was each time.

Now finally understanding what the other was trying to do, he groaned. “Are you serious? You're ignoring me now?”

With a final exasperated look of disbelief at Soobin's figure, Yeonjun was about to leave when an idea entered his mind. He went back and scanned the room with a smirk plastered on his lips. He then proceeded to execute his plan, skipping his way towards Soobin's wardrobe and intentionally made his search loudly.

“Since you apparently can't see me anymore, I'm gonna mess up your things, ha!”

That mocking statement almost made Soobin turn to stop him but he was quick to remind himself not to fall for the elder's trap.

Yeonjun gazed at Soobin, waiting to get a reaction but there was none, so he began to act even more obnoxiously.

“Ooohh, how about I steal one of these!” He said loudly, still waiting to get a reaction but the guy just continued doing whatever he was doing, making Yeonjun annoyed.

“I'm really stealing it!”

“What a lovely shirt! Too bad I'm tearing it.”

“Should I set this wardrobe on fire?”

“Uh-oh, I peed on your clothes, whoopsie.”

Soobin took a deep breath. He was trying to hard to contain himself and not give Yeonjun the satisfaction of getting what he wants.

But what the fuck? Was he actually doing what he said he was doing? In that case, Soobin would never turn around and witness a mess.

On the other hand, Yeonjun was fuming. He tried so hard already but his efforts were wasted. He felt like exploding and punching Soobin in the face and stealing his car keys while he's busy dealing with the pain.

But then again, he was never a fan of violence so he resorted to his final move— that being him stomping his way out of Soobin's room like a kid who just got lectured and yelling, “Fine! I'm suddenly a ghost and became invisible! I hope you drown in paperworks!”

Soobin heaved out a sigh he didn't know he was holding once Yeonjun left and reluctantly turned on his seat, expecting to see his room to be trashed and about. To his surprise, Yeonjun did not actually do anything and left his things unharmed, making him feel relieved and a little guilty?

Nah. Soobin? Guilty? Pfft. Never.

___

It wasn't until around noon when Soobin finally got up from his seat and left his room to go downstairs in the kitchen. His stomach growling and demanding for food. He confidently made his way into the dining area, expecting to see cooked food since Yeonjun usually left him some but to his dismay, there was nothing aside from a tray of fruits. His eyebrows furrowed to their own accord and he began searching the kitchen, thinking that Yeonjun probably placed them in the microwave. But again, there was none.

He searched the pantry, checked the cupboards, looked in the fridge but there weren't anything. Not even left overs that Soobin wondered what happened to the groceries they bought about a week ago.

Pursing his lips into a straight line, Soobin suspected the lost of food to be Yeonjun's doing. This was probably his plan to make him agree to whatever he was pestering him about earlier.

With an irritated mind and growling stomach, Soobin made his way to his pursuit— that being finding Yeonjun and where the fuck he had all the food hidden.

He roamed around the house, looking inside each room desperately but there weren't any sign of a brown haired male. It caused him to think that Yeonjun really did what he said and stole his car keys and left Soobin there to starve and rot.

Oh right, his car keys were tucked safely on his back pocket.

He groaned the same time his stomach let out another protest as he climbed up the stairs. It continued to ache out of hunger that Soobin decided to just give up and resort into ordering Chinese takeouts.

To be honest, it made him feel stupid for not thinking about that sooner and saving his energy.

However, before Soobin could touch the telephone and make a call, a black door at the end of the hall caught his attention. He swore he never noticed that there before considering his room was in the other way so he did not really bother going into that direction that much.

Now that he thought about it, he still haven't explored the entirety of the house despite of being there for weeks now. He mostly spent most his times on his room, the study and in the kitchen only— heck, he hasn't even been into Yeonjun's room. Not even once.

With that in mind, he pondered for a minute if he should go and check what's behind that door or just let it go. But there was something alluring about that door that made him drawn into it, not to mention his overwhelming curiousity that made him step forward and at last, hold the handle.

It was cold and new beneath his touch, almost making him retract his hand and change his mind to walk away. Nonetheless, he slowly turned the knob, resulting the door to slide open but Soobin halted the movement when he heard low murmurs.

He pressed his face against the doorframe and frown, trying to listen attentively to the voice but all he hears were muffled noises and some shuffling and a sudden–

“What are you doing?”

Soobin felt his heart dropped into his stomach as he jumped backwards, startled from the abrupt presence he did not expect.

“What the fuck? You almost scared me to death!”

“It wasn't my fault you were hiding there!”

“I wasn't hiding!”

“Then what are you doing?”

“I– I don't know.” said Soobin, now finding the floor very interesting because wow– when did this tile became so shiny?

Yeonjun narrowed his eyes at the male in front of him for a moment and remembered his denied request so he glared at the oblivious boy and returned back into the room.

“Whatever just leave.”

And Soobin did.

The opposite.

He followed the older male inside and glance around the room only to found it empty despite of it being spacious. He doubted it to be the basement though, since they already got one downstairs so he guessed it was an extra one.

“Why are you here? There's basically nothing aside from that chair.” said Soobin, pointing at the lonely chair placed at the corner.

“And?” replied Yeonjun. Not even sparing a glance at Soobin as he walked towards the window, pulling the curtains open while he was at it.

The other male squinted at the sudden brightness, raising his hands to shield his eyes because he ain't turning blind right now.

“I was just asking. Am I not allowed?”

Yeonjun ignored him and pulled the curtains close again since he too, found it to be a wrong move and it hurt his precious eyes.

He dramatically sighed and caressed the velvet curtain, “If it wasn't for that cold-hearted, work-engrossed, boring man this room wouldn't be so dull.”

Soobin raised a brow as he watched Yeonjun continued with his little show.

“I really do feel sorry for you, room. I just want to turn you into something so you don't have to be called just a "room". It's like a person without a name. You don't have any identity, I feel so bad for you but that cold-hearted, work-engrossed, boring man doesn't. Because he only cared about the papers.”

Yeonjun spoke like he was mourning someone dear to him when he was actually just speaking to the room. Soobin stood there, unimpressed.

“Are you not so subtly indirecting me?”

“Oh I don't know. Are you perhaps the cold-hearted, work-engrossed, boring man?”

“There's literally just the two of us in this house.”

“Really? Well the–”

“Alright. Fine. You win.” Soobin glared at the elder who stood there blinking innocently.

“I won? What do you mean I won?”

Rolling his eyes, Soobin brought out his car keys and jiggled it. “We're going wherever you want to.”

Wait. The fuck? That sounded like I'm willing to go anywhere with him. Wrong phrase! Wrong phrase!

While Soobin had his internal crisis, Yeonjun was trying so hard to contain his grin. To cover it, he forced out a cough and walked ahead.

“Well, if you insist.”

He was about to walk out the door when Soobin grabbed his arms and stopped him. Yeonjun did not expect that so he was left a little stunned but it would be a lie to say that he was the only one surprised. Soobin was actually questioning himself right at that moment. Because what the actual fuck am I doing? Soobin you better have a good fucking explanation.

Oh right, it's because I'm just hungry.

“I'm hungry.”

Say what?

Yeonjun looked at him baffled. Soobin was mentally dying from embarrassment.

“I– there wasn't any food. I looked everywhere.” he removed his grip and awkwardly rubbed the back of his head.

“Oh,” said the elder. “did you check the storage?”

“The what?”
