The next day, Yeonjun wakes up with the most terrible headache he'd ever experienced in his 22 years of life.
Groaning, he sits up from the bed and takes a good look around his surrounding while also adjusting his sight. Cream colored walls with white huge curtains covering the windows greeted him in this fine afternoon. There's also a couch placed at the opposite corner and a table with some necessities neatly organized on top. A white wooden closet can also be seen pressed on the wall with a robe hanging on its door handle.
It took Yeonjun a whole 2 minutes to realize that this certainly isn't his room and once he finally returns back into his senses, he stands up too quickly he fears that his joints might possibly break. His action also results his head to hurt even more but he couldn't careless for that as of the moment. The main priority right now is for him to figure out where the actual fuck he actually is and how he should get the fuck outta there.
So, think Yeonjun you stupid piece of shit.
And as if on cue, his phone starts ringing frantically from the bed. He wasted no time in searching for it and throwing the pillow that was covering it away and picks it up.
"Hel-"
"WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU YEONJUN!? WHY DIDN'T YOU COME HOME LAST NIGHT!? I WAS WORRIED SICK! I CALLED YOU A MILLION TIMES BUT YOU PICKED UP JUST NOW!? WHAT THE HECK!?" Yeonjun pulled the phone away from his ear after being cut of from his greeting. He couldn't blame the other though since he knows he's at fault this time, he's probably just worried about him.
No he really is worried about him.
And now he's going to kill Yeonjun.
"I'm sorry hyung, I'll explain to you later, okay? But now I have to get out of here." He started walking out of the room after he made sure that he isn't leaving anything behind.
"What do you mean? Where are you?"
"I actually don't kno-"
"YOU DON'T KNOW!? YEONJUN I SWEAR TO GOD I WILL KILL YOU ONCE YOU GET HO-"
"I know. I know... just- you know what? I'm gonna call you later, alright? Bye Taehyung hyung."
"YEONJUN I'M TELLING YO-"
He sighs and puts the phone away in his pocket. He will worry about his cousin's lecture later but right now, he has to leave.
How did he even manage to get in here anyway? This place looks so unfamiliar to him. And even if he tried to remember what the hell he was doing last night he couldn't. All he could recall was him, sitting at the bar while he cries his heart out because of the break up.
Right, the break up.
Get your mind off it Yeonjun, please.
He successfully exited the place without bumping into anyone, which is good, for Yeonjun isn't in the mood to deal with any bullshits right now. He's still having a terrible hangover for fuck's sake, give him a brea-
Actually, no. Don't give him another break. He's done. He just went through it last night and look at him now, hopelessly walking down the hallway of an unknown hotel with his head hurting and his life on the line once he finally reaches home.
So, no. Don't give him a break.
At last, Yeonjun finds an elevator and he swiftly went into it. Luckily, there's no one in there so he could use his time alone to contemplate his life decisions. You know, the usual "what the hell were you thinking" and question all the other dumb shits that went wrong in your life because of your own stupidity.
What a great way to spend time, isn't it?
The elevator door opens and Yeonjun went out to go to the receptionist. He may be an idiot but he's not an asshole to just leave things unpaid.
"Uhm... excuse me, miss?" Yeonjun calls out, wanting to get the staff's attention and just get this thing over with.
"How may I help you, sir?"
"I'm here for payment."
"Sure! Just give me your room number and card sir and we're done."
Yeonjun frowns. He forgot to look for the room number and he doesn't have the card with him.
Why am I so dumb?
"I'm afraid I don't know my room number." he scratches his nape and gives an apologetic smile.
"Ah, that's fine sir. Just give me the name it's under from?"
"Oh.... uhm... under the name Choi Yeonjun?"
If this doesn't work, I'm walking out of here whatever.
The staff types away on her computer searching for his name, making Yeonjun feel a little nervous as she presses down on the keyboard.
"It seems that the person you're with already took care of everything, sir. The card's been returned too, no worries." the staff then smiles at him.
Yeonjun wouldn't deny that he's surprised. He did not expect things to be taken care of already, he's actually expecting things to be put on his responsibility but he's thankful he doesn't have to deal with this anymore.
Atleast whoever he was with was thoughtful enough to do this.
Yeonjun then said his thanks before leaving.
___
Opening the door to their house, Yeonjun was greeted with a pillow hitting his head without even having to step a single foot inside.
There at the doorway, stood his fuming older cousin who lives with him while their parents are out of the country doing whatever business it is they are doing.
"What a nice way to welcome your favorite human being home." Yeonjun sarcastically said. Rolling his eyes at Taehyung as he walks pass him towards the living room.
"You disrespectful brat! You do not just walk pass by me like that! Incase you've forgotten, you still have lots of explanation to do!"
Massaging his temples, Yeonjun turns around to face his cousin who followed him all the way from the doorway to the kitchen while scolding him like there's no tomorrow. He's still dealing with a migrane here, can't he be just a little bit considerate and scold him later? He can even yell at him as much as he wants but now is not the time.
"Hyung, please. You can nag at me as much as you want and curse me out if you wish to, but please do it later, okay? My head still hurts and I haven't even have any proper meal yet."
Giving in from the younger's request, Taehyung forced himself to delay his anger for later and made Yeonjun sit down at the dining table as he prepares food for him.
Now that Taehyung decipher his cousin's condition, he does looks like he's so exhausted. His eyes are dull and puffy, a sign that he's been crying, and he keeps on massaging his head that Taehyung can't help but feel bad even though he's still mad that Yeonjun did not bother to tell him what he was up to yesterday.
As for Yeonjun, he's thankful that his hyung listened to him and spare his life some time but now that he's sitting there without anything to distract him, his mind wanders off to that someone that made his heart hurt in ways that he couldn't comprehend.
It's even worse than the migraine he's experiencing.
"Here, eat this and then rest. But remember that you still owe me an explanation. I'm not letting you off that easily." Taehyung said that cut him off from his thoughts.
Before Yeonjun could say his reply, a doorbell just had to interrupt them.
"I'll go get it. You eat there."
And with that Taehyung left him to dwell with his thoughts once again.
But you know what? Those thoughts could wait, his stomach couldn't.
Without wasting anymore second, he started to dig in and swears he can cry as the food touches his mouth.
Yeonjun continues to eat rather aggressively, but hey you can't blame him. He hasn't eaten anything since last night. And with just a blink of an eye, he's already close from finishing everything Taehyung made for him.
But who says Yeonjun can finish eating peacefully?
"Yeonjun."
Taehyung came back with a stern look on his face, holding an envelope on his right hand while the other is on his hips, making him look even more serious.
"What now, hyung?" Yeonjun said as he puts another spoonful of rice into his mouth.
"Why is a marriage certificate mailed in here and why is your name written on it?"
And you could say that Yeonjun started choking to death.
