Rey's POV
I wake up to the alarm going off. It's four in the morning and the room is still plenty dark. Ben force switches off the alarm and we lay there in silence. Ben has an arm wrapped around me and my head in tucked into his neck.

He pulls the covers up more then searches for my hand. I find his and intertwine my fingers with his. I hear him sigh.

"I love you Ben."

"I love you more Rey."

"I have to get up."

"I know." He kisses my forehead. "Five more minutes."

"Isn't that my line?" I giggle.

"Shhh." He quiets me then strokes my hand with the arm that was holding me.

After a minute I miss the warmth of his arm. "Put your arm back I'm cold." I groan.

"Oh that's right, I have myself a little Jakku scavenger."

"And I have myself a personal heater, so do your job."

He let's go on my hand and rolls on top of me.

"Better?"

"You're crushing me." I groan out.

"You like it." He jokes and rolls off.

I pull the blankets off and stand realizing it really is cold in the room. I grab the blanket from Ben and wrap it around myself. "Hey!"

"You're the one who likes it cold." I walk over to the tempture gage and turn it up. "You going to help me dress or no?"

"Only if I get to help undress."

"Fine. Come on." I flip the light switch on for him.

"Ahhh." I look over and see him with his head buried in the pillow. I walk over and lay on top of him.

"What are you doing?"

"I thought you said you were cold."

"You're crushing me." He mocks me.

"You like it." I tease back. I ruffle his hair and get up. "I'm taking a hot shower, care to join me?"

"I thought you were going to change."

"Well I decided I want a shower now, but I guess I'll take it alone." I walk off and I hear Ben roll off the bed and hit the floor.

"Did you really push the pile of feathers under the bed?" He asks.

I laugh. "No." I totally did.

He groans and enters the bathroom as I turn the shower on.

I turn and toss him the blanket. "Here's the blanket you wanted."

"Jeez thanks." He walks out and tosses it back on the bed then comes back in. I walk over to him and pull his shirt off. I smile as I look down at his abs. I look up and see him smiling shaking his head.

"What?" I chuckle.

"You were totally checking me out."

"I have every right to."

I'm in my closet putting on some black cargo pants, Ben puts on my black tank top, then hands my tan shirt to go over it. I grab my saber and switch my crystal back in as he puts on a pair of match black cargo pants and a black tank top as well.

"What no tan shirt?" I split my lightsabers and attach them to my belt.

"No, that's your color."

I smile at him. "Is that a scavenger joke?"

"Nooo." He teases. I roll my eyes. "Ready?"

"Yeah." I frown. He grabs his lightsaber and attachs it to his belt. "Why do you need that?"

"Just in case."

"You're not going to stow away are you?"

"Wasn't planning on it, but thanks for the idea." He smirks.

I walk out the closet and into the living room. I grab my lightsabers and hold them out in front of me. I hear Ben walk in and he holds his out. "True crystal inside?" He asks. I silently nod and close my eyes.

"One."

"Two."

"Three."

We ignite and a familiar hum sounds the room. I slowly open my eyes and see the dark blue saber. It feels so right. I smile and close them. Ben follows my lead and we attach them to our belts again. "Ready?"

I smile and look around the room. "Let's get this over with."

"Rey?"

"Yeah." I look at him.

"Are you okay? You're acting like you're never going to return here."

"The future is unsure Ben." I bite my lip. "I know I have a chance of not coming back, just like everyone else."

"But not everyone else is a bad ass with a lightsaber." He walks up and wraps his arms around me. I sigh into his chest and take a deep breathe of his scent.

"Okay, I'm ready to eat breakfast for once."

We laugh and twine our fingers together. He holds the door open and we see Isabelle.

"Oh good morning. I came to inform Rey that there's a malfunction on your shuttle and Matt and I will try to fix it before take off."

"Ok. What's wrong with it?"

"Communication signal isn't working and the landing sequence is being faulty."

"Well that's a problem." I say and look at Ben who is gripping my hand tight.

"I want you and Matt to stay on the shuttle and an elite pilot to be on board."

"I'll tell General Organa of your requests."

"No, you'll tell her my demands. If she disagrees to them tell her she can forget about grandkids."

I look over at Ben who is dead serious.

It's an empty threat. He calms me.

Ben's POV
It's after breakfast and I'm walking with Rey, Finn, Poe, Phasma, Johanna, Sassy, Emi, Jess, and Snap out to the Launch Zones

We come to Launch Zone 1 and run into BB8, R2D2, Morgan, Alexa, and Courtney.

Poe let's go of Finn's hand and Finn's smile fades and he puts his hands in jacket. Rey nudges him and smiles. Poe starts talking to BB8 and Morgan.

Mom comes up out of nowhere and grabs me and pulls me off. I drag Rey with my tight grip and refuse to let go.

"Why are you making demands?" She shouts at me.

"Because Rey's ship is safe and I refuse to lose her!" I yell back.

"Did you have a vision Ben?"

"No, but if she's going without an elite pilot and the technicians then I'm going and taking R2 as well as BB8."

She sighs. "Fine. Follow me." She walks over to the group of people we were just with.

"Johanna."

"Yes General?"

"You are to take over Rey's shuttle and fly to Endor. After you drop her Rey and Emi's squad fly to Endor's moon where I will be nearby and we'll have a plane on standby for you to join the fight."

"Isn't that my plane?" I ask.

"You can have their shuttle." She eyeballs me.

"Deal." I nod.

Rey squeezes my hand and gives me a small smile.

I smile back.

"Pilots prep your plane, droids to station, again, pilots prep your plane, droids to your station." An overhead speaker calls out.

BB8 beeps happily and Rey crouches down and I release her hand finally. "I hope so too." She smiles. He beeps and I crouch down as well.

"Go get'em pal." BB8 does a little droid dance like he did at the ball.

"Yeah maybe we'll have a ball again." Rey tells him.

"Then you can wear one of your other  bowties." I tease and stand up. He pulls out a metal rod of some sort and pokes me. "Ow."

He beeps goodbye to Rey and gives Finn a thumb up. It's like their thing now I guess. He rolls off and Finn looks at Poe who finally stops talking to Morgan. "Well, let's kick some ass." Poe smiles.

"Poe wait." Finn rushes out then looks down at Poe's lip.

Poe looks at Finn then at his lips and gives a slight nod. Finn cups Poe's jaw and kisses him passionately.

Rey's face lights up and Sassy smiles and not wickedly for once.

"Ready R2?" Alexa says. He beeps back and rolls off.

"Wow R2 isn't with a Skywalker?" I ask.

"Oh the tragedy!" Alexa sasses back and has a fake heartache.

"Last call for prep, again, last call for prep." The speaker urges again.

"I should probably get going." Finn and Poe break apart and say simultaneously.

They laugh. "I'll see you when I return." Finn smiles.

"I'll see you from the sky." Poe smiles and kisses Finn's cheek.

"Okay we have to go and so do you guys." Phasma tells us.

I slide my hand into Rey who loops her other arm into Finn's.

We walk over to Launch Zone 2. I sigh  and look at Rey's shuttle, my mom is talking to Matt and Isabelle. I look down at Rey's hand and remember our conversation yesterday about having someone.

"I'll be right back Rey. Stay put."

"I won't leave without a goodbye kiss." She smiles, I smile back and kiss her cheek.

I walk over swiftly to my mom.

"Mom, I need to talk to you." I say as I put a hand on her shoulder.

"Here." She slides off her ring from my dad.

"What?"

"You have my blessing Ben. Do it." She puts her ring into my hand.

"How did you know?"

"I'm your mother Ben. I supposed to be able to predict you." She smiles. "Go. I'll watch from here."

"Thank you mom." I embrace her. "Aren't I suppose to ask someone permission to marry her?"

"Finn's her best friend. Ask him for his blessing. I bet it'll also strengthen your friendship."

"I think you may be right mom."

"Of course I am." She smirks. "Now go."

I slide the ring into my pocket and walk back over to our shrinking group consisting of Rey, Finn, Johanna, Emi, and Phasma. "Finn." I say putting a hand on him. "Can we talk?"

"Yeah, sure." I guide him off away from Rey. "What's up?"

"I want your permission to ask for Rey's hand in marriage." I bite my lip and look over at Rey and back. "Finn, may I have your permission to marry your best friend Rey?"

He looks speechless. "I... I don't know... I don't know what to say... I... ugh..." I can feel my heart sinking. "Yes, Ben. Yes!" Finn smiles.

"You almost gave me a heart attack."  I breathe out.

He places a hand on my shoulder. "You better take care of her."

"I will, but I need a favor."

"Of course I'll be your best man."

"Umm Finn that's not what I was going to ask."

"You're not picking Sassy are you?"

"What? No." I laugh. "I'll have to discover the best man thing with Rey, but of course I think you have a pretty good chance of being my best man. I mean you don't see me talking to anyone else right?"

He laughs. "No I guess not. What do you need?"

I detach my saber and hand it out to him. He looks down at it then at me.

"Protect Rey please on Endor." I turn the saber handle towards him, so I know he'll trust me.

He takes the saber. "I will."

"Hide it from sight, I don't know what kind of black market the Ewoks have and make sure Rey doesn't lose hers either."

Finn laughs and tucks it inside his jacket. "Well let's go get you a fiancé."

We walk over and I look over my shoulder at Mom. She nods her head in reassurance. I smile and give a slight nod back. I turn back and smile at Rey.

I walk up to her. "Hey beautiful."

"Okay were going to go say our goodbyes by the shuttle."

"Aren't we all flying together?" Finn asks.

"Yeah, my team is flying in with yours, but I would rather have a more private, less rushed goodbye." Phasma says and pulls Johanna in by the waist.

"Why is everyone actually like we're never going to see each other again. We are going to kick First Order ass! Even you know that Phasma, you to Ben. You used to complain about how much we failed you."

I smile. "Okay true that, but we just..."

"Finn we never know when our time is to go and when we will say our last goodbye." Phasma interrupts.

"Yeah." Rey says and looks down at her feet. "Sometimes we never even get to say goodbye."

I engulf her into a hug and everyone joins in a group hug.

"Special units report to your shuttle, again, special units report to your shuttle."

I hear a few sighs among mine as we break apart.

"Okay guys." I say. "I'll see you all when you return." I try to smile truthfully.

"Yes sir." Phasma jokes and puts her arm around Johanna. I smile and shake my head. Phasma leads Johanna and Finn off. Finn nods at me.

"I'll be right over." Rey calls out.

"Won't leave without you." Johanna shouts back.

"I wish they would." I say to Rey.

"Don't do it."

"Don't do what?"

"Don't ask me."

"Rey." I breathe out heavly. "How did you know?"

"I put two and two together. Talking to your mom, talking to Finn, me about to head off into battle."

"Why not?" I ask confused and biting the inside of my lip.

"Because now is not the time to ask. I'm sorry Ben. I do love you though."

"I love you too Rey." I lean down and kiss her.

Passionately. Hungrily. Tenderly.

I hear someone clear their throat and we break away.

"It's time." My mom tells us.

Rey's POV
I sigh and cling on to Ben's hand. I begin walking to the ship with Ben and Leia.

"Last call, again, last call for special units." The speaker announces.

We stop just outside the ramp. I hug Leia. "Thank you."

She nods. I smile and look at Ben.

The thought of leaving him behind is killing me.

The thought of not staying is killing me.

"Ben I love you and I'll see you as soon as I return."

"I love you too and I'll be waiting for you."

"Samantha to General Organa, come in General." Leia's comm-link interrupts us.

"This is General Organa, copy."

"Your ship is ready to land, do you give clearance for landing."

"Yes, give Chewbecca full clearance." She clicks the link. "Sorry contuine."

"If anything happens, let me know."

"I will Ben."

"Even if Snoke is just there on the planet?"

"Yes."

"Okay. Well you should get going." Ben says.

Just then the Falcon begins to land next to us and I hug Ben burying my head into his chest. I feel his hand rest on one of my three buns trying not to mess them up. It's nearly impossible. If a Jakku sandstorm can't, I don't think Ben's hand could.

I hear the ramp begin to lower, followed by Chewbecca's roar. I break away from Ben and nod to him.

"Rey." I look at Leia. "May the force be with you."

I nod and turn sliding out of Ben's hand as I go up the ramp. I look down at Ben.

"I love you." I tell Ben.

"I know." Leia smirks and walks away.

Ben smiles. "I love you more Rey."

The ramp begins to close and I walk further in the shuttle. I feel the shuttle rise and with that we take off.
