Within 30 minutes the trio reached the Malhotra Mansion, Kartik parked the car in the driveway while Ahaan carried Ishqi in his arms and they entered the house. Kartik saw this as an amazing opportunity to get Ahaan and Ishqi to spend some time together, he knew there were some misunderstandings in Ahaan's heart that only drunk Ishqi could clear. 

Kartik (inner voice): Mouka accha hai..Dono ke dono ziddi hai, full senses mein Ishqi toh kuch boley gi nahi- but agar nashe ki halat mein ussne ek baar bolna start kardiya toh bhai ko sunna hi pareyga....Last time jab Ishqi drunk thi toh ussne bhai ke liye aapni feelings confess kardi thi, kya pata iss baar woh Dadi ke baare mein bhai ko saab kuch bata de, and she previously stated that she has proof as well so bhai ko iss baar Ishqi ki baat manni hi pareygi. 

Kartik: Bhai, mein bohot thak gaya houn so I'm going in my room to sleep. Aap aur Ishqi bhi jaa ke soe jao-

Ahaan: But Kartik- he tried to object 

Kartik cut him off, "Okayy byeee, kuch chahiye ho toh call me" he said while heading upstairs into his room. 

Ishqi was still in Ahaan's arms, "Chaliye na" she said while gaining consciousness- 

Ahaan: Kidhar jaana hai tumein?

Ishqi facepalmed herself, "Uffo Ahaan, aap bhi na--- Itna late hogaya hai toh obviously room mein hi jaana hoga na- 

Ahaan: Ishqi- mein tumhe Sonu ke room mein chod deta houn, aaj raat tum wahi pe soe jao-

Ishqi: Nahiiii, she whined, "Mereko aap ke saath jaana hai, pleaseee" she pleaded- 

Ahaan sighed, "Fine, let's go"- They headed upstairs and went into Ahaan's room. He laid her on the bed, "Tum soe jao Ishqi, I'll stay here and keep a watch on you"

Ishqi: Uffo Ahaan- mein inn kapro mein nahi soe sakti and waise bhi mujhe abhi nahi soe na-

Ahaan: Kapre? Ladkiyon ke kapre toh nahi hai mere paas- Aur Sonu ki closet mein sirf formal clothes hai- 

Ishqi: Kapre toh hai na aap ke paas....Hathiye, she said while getting up from the bed- She walked over to his closet and took out a sweatshirt. "I se Ishqi, I se intelligent" she chuckled and went inside the restroom to change. 

After a few moments she came out of the bathroom, Ahaan had changed into a t-shirt and sweatpants as well. He turned around and looked at her, he was mesmerized by her beauty. She was so simple yet so beautiful. 

Ishqi giggled, "Aise zoom karke kya dekh rahe hai" she stumbled and Ahaan immediately darted towards her and protectively caged her in his arms. "Kya kar rahi ho Ishqi, chot lag jai gi" 

Ishqi: Aap lagne deinge? 

The innocence and desperation in her simple question left him bewildered. Ahaan looked away and released her from his hold, "Ishqi you're not in your senses, tum soe jao before you say something you'll later regret"

Ishqi: Nahiiii, mujhe neend nahi arahi... 

Ahaan: Ishqi pleaseee, he grabbed her hand and practically started pulling her towards the bed, she yanked her arm and in a tug of war both of them fell on the bed. Ahaan was on top on Ishqi, his hand was under her head to ensure she doesn't get hurt. They shared an intense eye-lock. Ishqi smiled, "Woh hua na?" she asked-

Ahaan was lost in her eyes, "Kya" he replied-  

Ishqi: Dil mein, aapke dil mein bhi kuch hua na?

Ahaan realized their proximity and got up while Ishqi sat beside him on the bed. Their hands with tightly encased in each other's. "Boliye na" she said- 

Ahaan stayed quiet, "Aap issilye chup hai kyunke aap jaante hai ke humarey beech abhi bhi chemistry hai"- Ahaan looked into her eyes and saw nothing but longing and love....Ahaan could feel his brain taking a backseat, the steering wheel was now in the hands of his heart. 

Ahaan: Jaanta houn Ishqi- In fact, chemistry nahi hum dono ke beech aur bhi bohot kuch hai, something that can't be described...but uss saab ke saath saath there is a wall in between us. Humarey beech ki misunderstandings and choices ki wajah se hum humesha alag hi rahe ge-

Ishqi: Humara pyaar toh untootable tha na? Phir aapne kuch misunderstandings ki wajah se mujhe apni life se kaise nikal diya? tears emerged in her eyes-

Ahaan: Misunderstandings nahi thi woh Ishqi- Tumne meri mom ka saath diya jab ke tum jaanti thi how much I hate that woman, tumne mere se itni baari baat chupai aur meri Dadi per jhoote ilzam lagaye-

Ishqi: WOH JHOOT NAHI THE....Aapko woh jhoot laage kyunke mere paas uss waqt koi proof nahi tha...Meine aapse thoda sa trust maanga tha par aapne mujhe woh nahi diya. Aapne toh meri baat hi nahi sunni...Homebreaker ka tag de ke mujhe aapni life se nikal diya, she started sobbing- 

Ahaan: Tumne meri baat ko nahi samjha....You knew how much I loved Dadi and yet you still blamed her for heinous things-  

Ishqi: There's a difference between loving someone and worshipping them. You claimed to love me as well Ahaan, was that love fake then? Did you ever really love me? tears flowed down her face- 

Ahaan: Ishqi- how can you even think that- his eyes filled with tears- 

Ishqi: You promised that you'd try to look at things from my point of view before reacting but you didn't even listen to my explanation...

Ahaan: But you betrayed me Ishqi....you broke my trust...you broke my heart..Do you even how much my heart pained when you left me-

Ishqi: I never left you Ahaan, you asked me to get out of your life-

Ahaan: And you listened to me?! 

Ishqi: WHAT WAS I SUPPOSED TO DO? Beg you to stay with me? Betray your mom even after knowing about Dadi's misdeeds-

Ahaan: You should've never gotten involved in this Ishqi- Why did you???

Ishqi: BECAUSE I LOVED YOU... I could't see you getting manipulated by Dadi every single day, I couldn't see her using your immense love for her own benefit, I couldn't see you hating the mother who tolerated hell for her children- I did all this because I CARED FOR YOU AHAAN- she was bawling her eyes out- 

Ahaan: I CARED FOR YOU TOO ISHQI...I COULD NEVER PICK SIDES....Somewhere in my heart I knew that if I listened to your explanation I would have to choose between you and Dadi...She's done a lot things for our family Ishqi, she raised me and Sonu when my mom left, I owe her big-time- After all this I decided it was better if some things were left unsaid- 

Tears were escaping Ishqi's at a rapid speed, Ahaan couldn't see her in this condition, he too was crying. They wiped off each other's tears. 

"I'm sorry, please don't cry" they said in unison and a faint smile appeared on both their faces-

Ahaan slowly scooted closer to Ishqi and gave her a soft yet secure hug, he caressed her head while she wrapped her hands around his nape. After a while of peaceful silence Ishqi said, "Aapko pata hai meine aapko bohot saara miss kiya.." they parted from the hug. 

Ishqi: Mein na aapse bohot zyada gussa houn lekin phir bhi...she paused, "Jab aap mujhe aise dekhte hai, tensely...toh mere dil mein kirmich ki ball tap se tapah kha ker uchal jaati hai" she giggled- 

Ahaan diverted his gaze from her eyes, "Tum yeh saab issiliye keh rahi ho because you're drunk...Abhi thodi der pehle toh mujhe as a stranger treat kar rahi thi aur abhi mere se larh bhi rahi thi-"

Ishqi: Idhar dekho, she turned his face towards herself, "Aap ne bhi toh mujhe kitni dafa past yaad dilane ki koshish ki, agar mein apni feelings ko overtake karne deti toh bohot garbar hojati. Aur mein aapse larh nahi rahi thi, aapko saach realize karane ki koshish kar rahi thi kyunke mein jaanti houn aap ke saath galat horaha hai, aapki dadi aapke emotions ke saath khel rahi hai toh- Yeh jaante hue mein kaise chup rahoun?"

Ahaan: Tumhe kya farak parta hai Ishqi? Tum toh move on kar chuki ho na- Aab tum konsa mere se pyaar karti ho-

Ishqi: FARAK PARTA HAI...Mujhe bhi aur aap ko bhi- hum dono jaante hai ke na aapne aur na hi meine inn 8 saalon mein move on kiya hai...buss aap mein accept karne ki himmat nahi hai- Aur mein aapse pyaar nahi karti? Aap mujhse pyaar nahi karte...meine khud aapka letter parha hai" she said hurt- 

Ahaan: K-kon sa letter?

Ishqi: Kon sa letter? Wohi jiss mein aapne saaf saaf likha hai ke aap mere se kitni nafrat karte hai-

Ahaan: Tumhe woh letter kahan se mila? he questioned her- 

Ishqi: J-Jahan se bhi mila ho...the point is that you- you h-hate me Ahaan, tears started falling from her eyes again- 

Ahaan cupped her face, "No- no, please don't cry Ishqi...I don't hate you, I could never hate you even if I tried..you mean a lot to me, please don't ever say that"

Ishqi: A-Agar hate nahi k-karte toh pyaar bhi toh n-nahi karte na-

Ahaan: Aisi baat nahi hai, I- I, Ishqi! before he could finish his sentence she fainted in his arms. He smiled, "I love you Ishqi, I did, I do, and I will always love you. Life me ho ya na ho, dil mein humesha hogi tum mere"

He laid her on the bed comfortably, wrapped her in a blanket and turned the lamp off. He was about to leave when she caught hold of his hand, "Ruk jaiye na please". He instantly thought back to the last time Ishqi was drunk, how she wanted him to stay but he couldn't because she wasn't his, he remembered how reluctant he was leaving her side- but things were different now..they were complicated but she was somewhere still his Ishqi. He smiled and sat beside her, she clasped his hand and put it close to her heart, she wasn't fully conscious but she smiled.

That night both souls finally slept in peace, they found solace in each other's arms.The next morning would bring tons of questions but for Ahaan tonight cleared some doubts.  

The darkness of the night lit a flame in both their hearts- It marked the start of their new beginning, 8 years ago it all started with Ishqi being drunk and now it's begun again the same way.
