TIME FLIES SO fast you're already 6 months pregnant. Your baby has grown quickly throughout the months. You were excited yet scared to meet your little one. Besides this was your first time being pregnant. Today you woke up with a good mood.

The pan was sizzling, you were cooking breakfast for your family since you were the first one up this morning. You cut up some fruit as the meat cooked on the frying pan. The kids and Jake woke up a few moments later, Kiri hummed in delight at the smell of your cooking.

"Good morning mom, mmm, that smells good." Kiri spoke as she made her way to you. "Good morning ma'ite, and thank you. Come, sit down, breakfast is almost ready." You replied softly, patting your hand on the ground next to you for Kiri to sit.

Everyone else sat down, ready to eat. Tuk was sitting on your lap as she ate her fruits and cooked meat. "Morning baby, how'd you sleep?" Jake asked as he put a piece of fruit in his mouth. "I slept pretty good, though she was kicking a lot." You replied placing your hand on your pregnant belly.

Jake chuckled at your response. "Seems like she's too excited to meet us." Neteyam spoke with a toothy grin. You smiled at your son's words. "Definitely." Loak added chuckling.

8 months pregnant

THE BABY WAS almost here, you couldn't wait any longer, the kids were out playing with Tsireya and Aonung, along with Rotxo. You and Jake were in your hut, he was carving his knifes while you were weaving a blanket for the baby.

Suddenly you felt something drip down your legs, and a wave of pain washed over you. You stopped what you were doing and winced loudly in pain. You were in labour. Jake raised his head in your direction, at the sound of your voice. His face grew with worry, seeing your face scrunched up in pain.

Jake quickly ran over to you, helping you up from the ground. "Ma'Jake, hurry go get my mother, the baby is coming." You spoke up breathing heavily. Jake nodded and immediately called for Ronal.

You groaned in agony, as you took deep breaths to calm yourself down. Tonowari told the kids and they quickly arrived to your mauri. You were laying on top of Jake, your back pressed against his chest. Jake tired his best to sooth you.

The kids and Tonowari were outside of the mauri waiting to welcome the baby into this world. Ronal sat in front of you. "Alright, it's time my daughter. On the count of three you need to start pushing." Ronal spoke up. You nodded tirelessly at her words. Your forehead was covered in sweat.

Jake held onto your hand to comfort you. You opened your legs and began to push. You screamed and groaned in pain. Jake spoke comforting words into your ear, trying to sooth you. After so many pushes, your baby finally came. Your heart fluttered at her small figure. "You did it baby, I'm so proud of you." Jake said as he kissed your lips lovingly. You smiled at your husband. The cries and wails of your baby echoed through the mauri.

Ronal placed her gently onto your chest. She looked just like you. She has Jake's toes and fingers. She inherited your finned arms and tail. One of her eyes is blue and the other is yellow, and her skin is a beautiful mix of turquoise and dark blue. She cooed as she nuzzled into you. "She's gorgeous Ma'Jake." You spoke up to Jake. He smiled at your words. "Yeah baby, she is. She looks just like you." He responded as he caressed her cheek softly.

The kids along with Tonowari entered the mauri, hearing her cry's. They all gasped once they saw her. "Mama shes so pretty!" Tuk exclaimed. "She's so adorable mom." Neteyam added. Kiri and Loak nodded in agreement. You smiled fondly at your kids. "What should we name her Ma'Lei?" Jake asked softly. Ronal applied a soothing balm to your heat. "Niraya." You replied stroking your daughter's small hand.

Niraya Te Suli Lei'wa'Ite

Aonung and Tsireya smiled at their niece, their eyes brimmed with happy tears. "That's a beautiful name ma'ite." Tonowari spoke up, smiling at his granddaughter. "Thank you father." You replied. "She's the most cutest baby I've ever seen." Aonung added with a wide grin. "I know right!" Tsireya squealed. Jake smiled with happiness. "That's a stunning name for her baby, it suits her." Jake spoke, caressing your cheek softly. You giggled snuggling into Jake more. Rotxo couldn't help but smile at her, "she's so cute! Her eyes are so pretty." Rotxo spoke. You twinkled at his compliment with a chuckle. "Thank you Rotxo." You responded.

Niraya babbled and cooed at your giggles, smiling at her mother. Ronal beamed at her granddaughter's cooes, she really was the cutest baby. She had a lot of hair, it was curly just like yours.

Everyone took turns holding Niraya. Neteyam rocked her softly, he smiled down at his baby sister. Niraya giggled at her older brother. You smiled admiring your oldest son bonding with his little sister.

THE NEXT DAY you woke up to the cries of your baby, you yawned stretching before getting up to calm Niraya, she snuggled into the crook of your neck. "Shhh it's okay ma'ite, mama is here." You shushed her soothingly. Finally her cries calmed down, you sat on the ground crisscrossed and began to breastfeed Niraya. After you finished she fell asleep, you could hear her soft little snores.

You placed her gently in her crib, and you started to make breakfast for everyone. The kids and Jake woke up a few moments later, they all ate breakfast, Niraya woke up a little while after, she babbled and moved around in her crib, wanting to get out.

Jake got up and walked over to her, he lifted her up into his arms. "Look who's awake." Jake cooed at his daughter kissing her cheeks lovingly. Niraya giggled and squealed at her father's actions. You smiled widely at your baby. Loak wanted to hold her to you lended her over to him. "She's so freaking cute." Loak spoke kissing her forehead. Niraya squealed at her older brother, clapping her tiny hands together, smiling up at him.

Kiri was weaving a small top for Niraya, she was almost done. "Here you go mom, it's for Niraya." Kiri spoke as she held the top for you too see. You smiled at her kindness. "Thank you tiyawn, it's so adorable." You thanked her, the top was a mix of Omatikaya and Metkayina accessories.

Tuk sat on your lap as she held onto Niraya carefully, she was eating some fruit. Kiri giggled at her baby sis, tickling her stomach softly. Niraya giggled and squealed at her sisters. Neteyam and Loak were carving their knifes, they were going to train with Jake and Tonowari.

THE WATER RIPPLES moved side to side slowly. You went out for a swim to relax and have some time for yourself. After relaxing for a while you decided that it was time to go back home.

Once you made it home, Jake and the kids greeted you happily. Tsireya was playing with Niraya. Aonung went by to visit but then had to go fishing with his friends. You sat down next to your mate. "Hey baby, how was your swim?" Jake asked pulling you close my the waist. "It was really nice the water was fresh and cold." You replied smiling from ear to ear.

"Mom can I go swimming with my ilu? I want to collect some sh-shells." Kiri asked you nervously. Your ears pinned back in confusion, wondering why she was nervous all of a sudden. But you brushed it off. "Yeah of course love." You replied nodding your head. "Thank you." Kiri said before quickly exciting out of the pod. Jake raised one of his brows in curiosity. "That was weird. She never acts like that." Jake spoke. "Yeah mom dad's right." Loak added agreeing with Jake.

"I've never seen her act so nervous before." Neteyam also added on. Tsireya nodded at Neteyam's words. "Yeah, sister, she's been acting weird lately, I've also noticed that Aonung has been leaving the mauri a lot too, he always says that he's going to hang out with his friends. But I don't think so. Mama and father don't believe him either." Tsireya commented as she handed Niraya to Jake. Tuk had no idea what was going on she was in her own little world eating her vegetables and fruits.

Your face scrunched up in puzzlement. You and Jake shared a confused look. You sighed softly. "Do you think Aonung and Kiri might have something going on?" You asked your sister. Tisreya shrugged in response. "Most likely, I mean they've been going out at the same time and coming back at the same time as well, from what it seems like." Tisreya replied.

Loak laughed, shaking his head. "Kiri and Aonung together is crazy, I would've never expected that." "For sure, I mean, they've became friends over time but I'd never thought that they'd might like each other." Neteyam added. "Kiri can't have a boyfriend yet. Not on my watch." Jake spoke up as Niraya cooed softly, nuzzling into her father's embrace.

You chuckled at Jake's comment. "Kiri and Aonung are not together, we don't know yet. But if this keeps up then I'll need to have a talk with her, and mother and father." You spoke up. Jake nodded at your words in agreement.
